History: 

Sugawara, Suga to his friends, was a big time volleyball player in high school. However, once everyone had graduated and went on their way, Suga found it hard to keep in touch with everyone. So when someone brought up Sword Art Online as a VRMMORPG that they could play games together as a way to stay in touch and see each other, Suga was all in. He had just started his summer job after high school and he saved up enough money to pre-order SAO.

Well, he definitely has a chance to spend time with his gaming friends now...

Post Logging In

Once they logged in, everything was going great. They were excited, several of them were logged in, but several more weren't gonna make it in the first wave, since only so many units were available to sold, and not everyone could get them. That turned out to be a mixed blessing. Not all of his friends were trapped here... but Suga was. He found who he was able to, and brought them together to survive and try to wait it out.

However, right around when the frontline players had unlocked the 25th floor, everything seemed to stop suddenly. It was at that point, Suga wondered if maybe they shouldn't be more to help. Thankfully, one of his friends took point and declared that they should do their part and help out. So Suga studied up and asked questions of everyone who would listen. How did they need to survive. What was the best way for them to start out. How could they do this and have the best shot at survival.

In the end, he took his role as setting on the volleyball court and applied it SAO. Going forward, he would be the healer and buffer of the team.

Virtues:

Amiable: Nicknamed "Mr Pleasant" by his adversaries, Suga gets along with everyone. He tries to keep the peace, read the mood, and make the team work well together. As a setter on his high school volleyball team, his goal was to make all the different pieces work together, and get the most out of them.

Hardworker: Suga was never afraid of hard work. He was disciplined, did good academically, and put everything he had left into volleyball. He was successful not because he was naturally talented, but because he put in the time, the sweat, and sometimes the tears to do better, always pushing his friends and team forward, even at the detriment to himself.

Resilient: Because Suga never had natural talent on his side, he would often have to face setbacks, often times from those who could blow past him with little effort. But because his road to success was paved with hard work, Suga never looked at those setbacks as enough to hamper his motivation. He takes challenges in stride, even emotional or motivational ones, and pushes forward. He's truly someone that can be relied upon.

Flaws:

Low Energy: Suga sometimes needs someone to get him pumped up. Without a team, he can be listless, or without the umph to push forward. If he has a goal, he'll work towards it, but he sometimes needs a dreamer to shoot high. Allies to push forward with. His extroverted nature means he gets his energy from being on a team.

Too nice: Because Suga is so amiable and always trying to get along, he often doesn't start conflicts, even when they're needed. He won't necessarily back down from defending a friend, but he won't defend himself. He'll equivocate rather than putting an issue to bed. It works great among friends who are usually able to get along, but in a room with strong personalities, it can mean he doesn't have the decisiveness to solve issues.

Silent Troubles: As a caretaker personality, Suga often doesn't share his deeper feelings, instead repressing them until he can deal with them on his own. Even though he's Mr Pleasant, get along with everyone, have a chipper attitude and cheer everyone on, he puts everyone first to the extent that often time his own emotional needs aren't met.
