[F2-PP] Feral Pack (Venomous Warg)

[Raidou 1]

Traversing the floor in the painted night sky, strangely devoid of stars this evening. Low lantern light illuminates the loose brick road that has been worn thin by time, an empty city of Urbus with no foot traffic. Raidou chose these times in ideal, for the lack of prying eyes and curiosity made travel easier. An NPC approaches on its own, one that Raidou had not seen under the dim glow available. To his side, it pleads to him as his image turns from silhouette to visibility.

A man of tanned skin and jet black facial hair, in tan linens, slips a vial into his hand with both of his own. "Did you come due to my request on the board? you've got to help me, those blasted creatures won't leave my caravan alone. How am I supposed to feed my family. I don't have much to offer, but I am begging you and I will pay you with what I can."

Raidou pauses impartial from the notion. On one hand he knew this man was not one, simply a figment produced by the cardinal and he was still unsure if they felt true emotion. But on the other, his own emotion beckoned he do something despite the fact. "I will do as you ask, I do not care for whatever payment you choose." Pulling a small vial of deep red liquid from his pocket, a failsafe for such things Raidou consumes the bitter brimstone flavored fluid to a taste he still has trouble agreeing with. A tug of the cables that held his robe on his shoulders draw it closer to his neck, with the goal now set.

The dark streets blended the small stature of the girl in the night. Her boots clicked against the stone, looking for the quest introduction to the bee, but she was still having trouble finding it. A sigh grazed the Megitsune's lips. How annoying it was to be unable to act on information that one had.

As she was passing by, she noticed a man clade in red, a player from the crystal above his head was talking with an NPC. A quest giver perhaps? She didn't do this very often, but if there was a quest to do, she wanted in on it. The only vibrant color of her mask was the only thing that could be seen when she approached in the darkness. The face that she wore hid her true eyes, but their red hues still pierced through the slits in the wooden mask.

"Kon." She started, her clarion, but soft voice muffled from behind the wood. "You are doing a quest? I wish to join."

[Raidou 1]

A dark shape slinks in from the shadows, a blaring red through white mask. His origin took him to japanese tradition, an almost out of place aged mask of Kitsune. A girl in stature and in voice, with a spoken question:

"You are doing a quest? I wish to join."

Reticent to a figure that Raidou had not caught at first glance, assumed do to the clothing she wore. Stranger still given his perception was rather unmatched. A moment of thought before a decision is made. Numbers are important, and given the timing it could not fit any better. "s-Sure." Raidou chokes out gritting his teeth in his cheek still troubled. A mask of his own had not been prepared, and to this end his words came in pieces. A flurry of his menu open with a targeted drawn, sliding the screens in size and shape like a conductor a quick diagnostic ran as amber eyes slide around in rapid movement. Seconds pass before they drop in unison, adjusting the frames on his face to a reflected orange from the color. 

"This way." as the creeping demon was being caged.

The teenager made no remark of the man's cat-caught tongue when she approached. She didn't care really, she dispised working with others without something in it for her, but something was in it for her. Experience towards her next level up was important, and she would likely need to find other players to help her fight. Tanks and healers and whatnot. That being said, she had no idea what quest they were under taking in the first place. If he could solo the quest without help what was the harm in bringing along a low level player like her?

"What should I be prepared for?" The voice behind the mask slipped through the wood. "My gear still needs work but I can still do some good damage for my level."

She was probably difficult to see in this lighting thanks to the dark clothing, but the white mask and red eyes really gave her away close up.

[Raidou 1]

"It appears to be a pack of four, they have been raiding this stretch. Mainly the man I spoke to claimed to have lost quite the amount of wealth, which with the description of the quest means it has been happening for quite some time." Raidou speaks to the girl and while traversing the nav in a pulsing blip on his minimap, opening his menu with his right causing his robe to drape from his elbow. Activating the quest share and sending her the request with a mental note to her name on his display "See for yourself." Taking a small book from his pocket in black leather, Raidou scratches a few notes inside before clasping it shut and adding it back to his robe. The distance flows ever closer, the cast circle growing nearer to his own pointer. "We're close, but first we should see what we are dealing with." the nomad remarks, being on the side of caution.

Certainly, the Megitsune was careful. Either one of two things were going to happen: 1) Raidou pulls out massive damage and kills everything in a single hit; or 2) he was a tank player that  could take the damage and aggro over her. She'd find out soon enough. When Raidou turned around again, the White Fox was gone, completely vanished in the night. Her health bar was still attached to his HUD however. 

She preferred working alone, but still was too weak to do everything on her own. She had to rely on someone stronger to help her through things. That being said, she was going to do things on her own agenda. She was already behind their enemies, ready to strike as the predator stalking the prey.

From the other side of the battle field to her partner, a white stripe leaks through the darkness in the shape of scythe, a weapon bigger than the wielder. It launched down onto the biggest of the wolves, but barely missed it.

"Chikuso..."

[Raidou 1]

The girl seems to vanish into the brush and moves in, as Raidou adjusts the magnified lens on his face. Just in time to see the girl take a swing to a pack that begins to turn. "S***" Raidou spouts in an uncharacteristic fashion to him. Drawing his weapon the black star and moving forward his fury boiling in his chest. If only he could relay tactics and such more efficiently they wouldn't be in this mess. A thought and a feeling, a memory of a recent addition to his kit. As if the light around him was being bent and distorted, the creatures begin to shake their head feverishly as the color from his robe seemed to almost glow in the darkness. Looking forward with a piercing glare his eyes of amber bled through glass frames, as fumes of dark red bleed to the sky from the cloth on his back. To the creatures, all but he was out of focus as their sight blurred to all else.

Raidou activates howl!

The beasts shake about feverishly as two claw at their face and eyes, unsure how to process the fact they were blind to all but the swordsman dragging a black sword. They break lose from the girl they could no longer see and tore the dirt up from underneath them in the frenzy. The first leaps and in response Raidou pivots and kicks the edge of his sword, halting the advancing claw in a shower of sparks. The second snarl up as the first breaks free with the heft of his weapon. Grabbing the point and slamming the dull black rod into its mouth to the sounds of cracking teeth. They surround him with clashing steel on bone, circling the prey they could see.

The first attack she had made drained her stamina completely. What kind of bull was that? You use one attack and you can't do anything else? Well, she'll get stronger soon. No need to be fooling around right now though. The girl brandished the steely sickle and raised it to the sky for her next attack. The metal caught a glimmer of moonlight to contrast the blackened blade. When it came down, it met nothing but the soil .

An annoyed but unseen expression passed across her face. She brought the scythe back around and took a few steps back. If only she had went and got equipment before hand this would be a lot easier and she wouldn't be looking like such and idiot. Since Raidou was able to hold the taunt with his tank abilities, she hid in the darkness again, looking for an opportunity to strike again. Surely her next attack would hit.

A turn of the blade in his hand as the focus was drawn upon himself, the Migitsune was lurking in the shadows taking a more precise route and seeking an opening. A wise decision to bring her along, Raidou thought as the wolves kept circling him in a ring of fangs. The larger was more than likely the leader, the toxic one to which the quest warned. It's wrapped grin oozing purple ichor in confirmation. His course clear to a low gray color building upon his weapon, the head removed the body follows.

Raidou Activates Concentration!

ID# 146384 results: Battle: 9+1=9, Minor Critical! (+1 Base) dealing 46 damage to Venom Snapper, healing Raidou 80 HP and Paralyzing Venom Snapper!

A lunge forward and a pivot fighting the hefty blade up. Followed is an earth-shattering crash tosses the beast along the dirt in a skip to a slide. The snapper shows as the dust clears, winded and dazed it struggles to stand given the sheer force it was struck with. A dark red pulse of his sword fades from the blackened blade, while his already full HP bar on the HUD pulses trying to fill further.

The others try to lash out as their leader is struck. the first easily rebuked in a parry from the blade as the others close in with pack tactics. To his thigh a bite that enters slightly to which Raidou punches its snout, while the other circles to his left. A plate glove blocks a snapping jaw.

The wolves encircled the red-clad tank, snarling with vicious intent to destroy Raidou swiftly. One of the poor pups got slammed pretty hard with his weapon. The most important thing that she noticed was the paralysis icon. They were all still looking at him, so this was the best time to make her move. The Fox leaped from shadows and dug her tooth of a weapon into the abdomen of the venomous wolf that was unable to move. The blade held it up momentarily before she launched it back towards Raidou. The canine hadn't taken a huge chunk of damage or anything, but it could be a worse amount. Being level one came with it's fair share of upsets of course, but it wouldn't be too long before she would master her skill and deal dozens of points of damage alone.

The White Fox disappeared in to the darkness once again, she moved with the shadows like a fish swam down stream.

Megitsune strikes the downed foe, who Raidou had distanced from the others in a show of strength. A fine display of divide and conquer if there ever was one. She cleaves it hard and lifts the beast, tossing it back toward the total guard the swordsman was displaying for the first time in a long while. A grey sheen as its inbound and Raidou pivots kicks his blade high and while its inbound cleaves heavily downward. The blade connects, hard.

Like a clap of thunder, the wolf is slammed into the soil and causes the ground to shake and fragment. It manages to its feet, visibly beaten with red wounds of data tore upon its frame.

The pack barks and howls before they close in the leader still struggling to remain standing while the others attempt to defend their alpha. Raidou pivots the blade back to neutral and raises his left arm dragging the blade upon it in a shower of sparks to get it ready before extending his left in front of him. Parrying the lot of them in an audible clashing they find no entry.

This tank was efficient. Parrying away attacks like they didn't even mean anything. She would keep a mental note of him when thinking of bringing a tank along for a quest in the future. Well, first focus was to get through this one alive. She would have to wait for another good moment to strike. Her patience was well rewarded for the last round, so she stay melded with the shadows for now. Thankfully, the combination of her ability to stay hidden and Raidou's tank abilities to keep them distracted, she was able to stay out of harms way. She was pretty happy that the opportunity came for her to join the quest.

She thought about making an attack this round, but if she just waited a little bit longer she would regain the rest of her energy and could let out another sword art. Yeah, that was the best course of action for now.

A consistent defense with constant parrying before an opening arose, the beasts were huffing with wear as they seem to slow. His opportunity had shown and to this end a quick shift of his feet and cleave down to the snapper. The beast shifts and slides while the black star further disturbs the now weaving trench in the dust, with the greyed fan of light vanishing with the impact. Raidou scoffs as the wolves all close in, pivoting around to peel the blade up his plated arm to whole up his defenses.

The gap closes to another sphere of steel as Raidou manages the blade up before starting to parry the incoming attacks in the sounds of scraping metal. Breaking lose as it seems the cardinal is studdering, the A.I. actively looking for a method of exploiting. Raidou adjusts the frames on his face that were slightly off-kilter, another pulse of the red aura bleeding from his back adamanting them to remain stuck to him, with a smile drawn upon his face to the enemies who could not find the checkmate they needed to win because there was none.

Back to full energy and ready for another sword art. Now she only needed to wait for the right moment to strike. Precision was the key to using a hefty weapon like the scythe, especially for someone so tiny as her. Slowly, she could see the leader of the wolves branching off to find Raidou's Achilles heel. Wrong move. The Fox jumped from her cloak of shadow and into the battle like a tornado of steel and white light. The spinning of her attack gripped the pooch within it's sickle once more. To finish the attack, she blunted the blade back into the soil leaving the venomous wold to its side laying with whine.

Almost as quickly as she was there she was gone again, sliding back into the darkness away from any stray attacks that might graze her. Looks like Raidou was slowly whittling them down. With there combined damage, it would take a minute, but they would be alright.

A glance upon the beasts that surrounded him taking views of the bars and running numbers through his head to get the gist of what was left. He assumed the lowers would be weaker given past experience and the attacks he had made with a weapon he knew the stats in an out due to Simmone's aid. "One more should do it then." Raidou whispers with a lace of silver building upon his dull blade and with an attempt to sideswipe his one and only real target yields no connection as one of his pack slides past knocking the blade from his grasp. Raidou sprints to reclaim his fallen weapon, taking to a slide and grabbing with the wolves trailing behind him. Snatching the grip and kicking back off a large oak to halt and right himself he sets the blade to his shoulder and widens his feet.

The pack was not happy at this exchange and kept lashing at his heels catching up to him as he retrieves the sword, leaping with open maw. Slamming the blade into one's side without an art causes it to yelp but no damage is dealt, as it retracts with the others running past. The second two are tossed asunder the very same as Raidou shifts and slides, kiting them and keeping them from being able to surround him against the canopy. the largest pounces and Raidou retracts his blade and slams the weapon between its teeth. Glaring it square in the face with yellow eyes to his amber as the violet venom runs from his weapon to the ground.

Just like how she was relying on Raidou's tanking, he was relying on her added damage to put down these enemies. The boss monster did have more health that anticipated, at least for her. She was sure he knew the numbers before undertaking the quest in the first place, but it would take her several attacks just to end this guy, even if she could survive his attacks in the first place. No time to get distracted though.

The kitsune appeared from the dark of night again, slashing the main leader of the pack with her bladed sickle across it's side. It howled in pain but it didn't seem like it could pry it's focus from Raidou enough to do anything about her. It was kind of funny how the program worked where she could deal as much damage as she wanted without being in danger.

Emblazoned by the fierce combat eager to keep things in his favor, a scan about to the occasional parry. The wolves were ever feral and kept the assault, while Raidou shifted the pack about the place he had seen only briefly Megitsune strike from. Positioning himself so the ring the creatures was forming around him had its back to the shadows but enough of a clearing that they couldn't press his back to any walls of the sort. A silver glow overtakes his blade and a shift forward in attempts to strike out at the leader. The snapper shifts to the side with a snarl as the arc glances past in a narrow missing slash. A shift back and attempt to a neutral stance at the inbound onslaught that was soon to follow.

An attack that called a response as they honed in on him aggressively after the failed strike. The swordsman was prepared and with each incoming scrape of claw or clamp of jaws only met his weapon in flashes of steel. The alpha was showing visible wear as its attacks were slowing down, the wolves seemed to be slightly out of sync in the very same as the alpha could not lead the charge efficiently.

Stalking and sly, the fox moved through her cloak of darkness. Her beautiful black axe concealed in the darkness was ready to bite again. She waited for her momentum to swing in the favor of the scythe. The leader of the group hopped into the air, ready to bite into Raidou's head and maul him to pieces. The moment it's paws left the ground, the foxes fangs were in its neck. The girl shoulder checked the beast and grabbed it in the air with her scythe. With another quick motion her blade was in the ground with the wolf. She kicked it off the steel and moved back into her hiding place.

If only she had the second rank of Two-Handed Battle Axe she could easily destroy these things, or if she just had more energy. That's the biggest problem was being unable to attack with a sword art back to back.

[Raidou 1]

Megitsune slides in out of the shadows and cleaves the creature with a gleaming sickle in her grasp, and as the predator attempts a strike she slams a shoulder into it catching it completely off guard. A snap and breaking of bone, the beast drops, and one of its teeth fall from a now off center jaw. Back to the shadows, she vanishes out while Raidou sees his opportunity thanks to his partner. Sliding his weapon up his arm in sparks with it taking on light, Raidou twists the handle and sets it straight before cleaving down along the body of the creature. It impacts the back to a few popping spinal pieces as the weapon digs in and leaves glowing red from where it landed. Drawing it toward him to a bit of added discomfort for his target, Raidou whispers "It was over before it began, checkmate."

They scatter the pounding motion, the alpha falters and drops a front leg now crippled spitting out tons of venom as it pants. The others scatter and in the last ditch effort to protect their master one attack glances through and connects with Raidou's left arm against the steel plating while the rest get easily reflected by his sword. Raidou turns and slams the beast into the ground, knocking it free while a marginal amount of the damage trickles in. A faint red glow of howl still punching their senses into submission.

Fox watched Raidou's display from the distance. He was an efficient fighter and Fuyuko respected efficiency. Megitsune looked around , looking to find an opening for her next attack. The wolves found a way to encircle her tank again, but he didn't seem threatened whatsoever. She moved in to try and help him this time, not really looking for an opening. That bit her in the ass though, she missed the body completely sinking the sickle into the soil. The girl cursed under her wooden mask and returned to the shadows once again.

Once she was safe back into the darkness, she surveyed the situation. One of the wolves would be destroyed with one more attack. Once that one was out of the way, the others would be easier to kill. In fact, she would go ahead and target those ones next since they were almost finished. Raidou could finish off the boss and she could get them weak enough to kill off.
