[F2-PP] A fueled fire (Venomous Warg)

[Raidou 1]

Having settled Setsuna's affair, she should be able to handle the trip back. Raidou takes a moment to allow her to turn it in, in solidarity as he plucks a few herbs in the treeline as a kill of time. After twenty or so minutes he finds it should be sufficent as he makes his way back to Gatsby, the night was still young and the composed message already sent to the blonde haired tank. A test of not only the ability but cognitive thought was in order. For a tank needed to be able to operate with a cool and collected head when situations demanded confidence, he would test her abilities fully. Gatsby seems to ignore him in the swaying yellow light of lanterns affixed to posts. The red wanderer hoped that she would not dally or dwell too much in inaction, for he was but one man and had a long night ahead of him.

Eruda was in the guild hall having a conversation with Kasumi and night begins to fall. With a chime of her HUD seeing a message from Raidou. Opening it and reading the content, she says without looking at Kasumi "I guess it's my turn" as she closes her HUD with a smile to Kasumi. She sighs a bit and makes haste toward the nearest town on floor 22. Grabbing the quest Venomous Warg from the board that was right inside the entrance she makes her way to the warp gate saying "Floor 2" as her feet hit solid ground again. Eruda takes out the potion and salve that she gathered from the Guild Vault just a little bit ago, drinking one and applying the other to the best of her ability. Sticking her tongue out from the after taste it left and taking out the food she picked up too, eating it quickly, she opens her HUD select the quest so the marker would show on her map. Closing her HUD she makes haste toward Gatsby's building to start the quest. Getting to the building she sees Raidou standing there waiting. Eruda starts to frown a bit saying "Sorry I needed to grab some things," as she walks to Gatsby who seems scared. "Help please" and Eruda just nods as he begins to explain everything he knew about the quest. 

Turning to Raidou now she says "I'm ready," as she walks out the exit and waits for instructions from Raidou before continuing.

[Raidou 1]

Eruda shows in a relatively good amount of time, it was good given he had not that much time to spare. It was a strange snap to the past, a reflection of secret medicine. Raidou adjusts his glasses on his nose, now was not the time for nostalgia. Pulling his robe to his neck, Raidou starts to head for the canopy from which he had just exited. The cardinal should have had ample time to refill the wolves. A subtle response from Raidou with his back to Eruda, trying his best to remain cemented on his words to which they needed to be spoken. "3 Wolves and an alpha, the main one must be struck down first. As a tank your job is to pull it from me and keep it focused on you and you alone. I will draw additional targets as you will in the coming fights. It is your job to keep the larger one's aggro. Fail to keep it from me, and you fail. Your time with Firm Anima ends with a failure to maintain aggro, succeed and prove you are capable of holding it and you proceed with the rest of Firm Anima."

[Eruda 0]

Eruda follows at toe with Raidou listening to each word spoken. She could here that it was hard for him to say this but Eruda understood perfectly why they had to be said. She was being tested on her ability to keep the creature on her instead of everyone else. If just one slip up and the creature would to hit another in the team it could lead to large amounts of damage or worse. Keeping focus on battle wasn't hard for Eruda anymore. She starts to think of the last time they did a semi dangerous quest together and she blushes a bit thinks of all the missing she did. Closing her eyes and shaking her head a bit to get it out of her head. Walking just to the side of Raidou she remembers that she switched her skills around. Not wanting to fail this she tries to boost her confidence by saying "Well it's a good thing I got this new skill then. I will not fail!" Eruda bites her bottom lip and continues saying those last words in her head on repeat. After a few times of this she smiles and takes out her sword and shield as she now was determined not to fail for the simple fact that she needed to be apart of Firm Anima. Eruda walks with Raidou at the same pace as him waiting for him to make the first move.

[Raidou 1]

A draw of a brilliant gold sword, Auric sol punches a solar flare akin to sunlight that quickly causes the wolves to notice him. "It begins." Raidou shouts spinning the weapon as it pulses brighter. A quick tear as if space alters around him, the difference in his blades weights becoming instantly apparent with the extreme variance in speed to a puff of displaced dust. A flutter of the red robe on his back as the blade glows hot like the sun drawing a burned line through the first target. One leaps free from the blast zone as multiple more lines are scorched into the dirt, making it almost turn to glass. A drop of his blade erupts in a burst of sunlight, leaving them burned in its wake. Raidou pivots and slides with the blade twirled in his hand, drawing the point toward the pack that did not enjoy his sudden attack.

[Eruda 0]

Raidou being the first into battle is amazed by the quickness that he endured since they last fought together. Eruda watches all but 1 of the enemy's get knocked apart. Looking to each creature Eruda noticed the bigger one of all for knowing now that this was her target. Eruda stands there with her eyes closed for just a moment before a blue glow surrounds. Opening her eyes with a flash of light from her sword, her target is set. Eruda begins to run at the Warg, it sees this and as Eruda swings quickly in its direct it moves just as quick out of the way. Eruda slides to a hault next to the big guy and under her breath she says "Dam it."

 Eruda see the big guy and the three others go after Raidou. He pivits and turns with each attack that comes forth besides one. The wolf runs behind him while he was pushing the others away and latches on to Raidou's free arm. Eruda glares at the bigger one trying to not freak out. Eruda's face turns a bit red with her rising up feelings as she runs to a sliding hault next to the Warg trying to concentrate on nothing but him trying to not make a fool of herself like last time.

[Raidou 1]

Raidou turns and slides his vised hand free, flinging the beast off of his arm with little more than a shrug. His HP quickly jumps back to full, these creatures would have a very difficult time dealing any sustained damage. Vibrant gold lights the sword ablaze, with the set up complete and primary focus from the adds now attached to him alone his robe accenting the fact with a billowing aura to the sky in darkened red. This made his only target the one that Eruda needed to pull, she could not afford to miss as she had. Come on Eruda Raidou thought hoping that the girl would prove the theory and succeed in her trial. A quick slash shows he's distracted by the fact that the girl was failing her ordeal, he was trying to remain impartial in his judgment but it was obviously playing as a detriment to his focus.

Eruda watches Raidou miss the beast as well but it was still only focused on him. The words start to ring through her mind once more I will not fail and she takes a deep slow breath. Her sword begins to glow red once more. Eruda tries to take advantage of the warg not paying attention to her. Swinging at it with an upper cut movement toward it. It glance over to her just in time to jump away from her attack. Eruda was trying so hard to not fail but the odds were not helping in her favor. It was like the secret medicine quest all over again but this time she really would lose everything if she fails. Tears start to form in her eyes and she step back a moment and closes her eyes trying to calm herself. Calming herself and clearing her mind for nothing else mattered right now. Eruda's eyes open into a glare toward the large creature as they all try attack Raidou once again with no connects. Eruda gets herself ready to attack again as she starts to glance around for any advantage that could be taken to add up in her favor.

Raidou moves using his cloak as a form of difference, the red fabric displacing his frame to which they only slide against the fabric, the last bounces off the Auric sol in a parry, the blade pulsing upon connection. Eruda was clearly struggling, Raidou could not help but hesitate at watching her fail. "Eruda you need to focus, this is only going to get more difficult." he spoke as a bright yellow burst of light painted upon his steel. A sudden shift in a blinding speed cleaves against the beast with two quick tears of gold lines leaving deep gashes of red behind. Raidou spins and pivots the blade right, still not completely used to how different the blades were. He pivots and slides free, the wolves aiming for his throat gleam past harmlessly and halting his turn he brandishes the blade. Taking his left hand and fixing the glasses on his face, as they try to slide down "I could get used to this."

Eruda trying to focus, main word being trying looks to Raidou as he barks an order at her with what seemed like anger in his voice. Eruda glances at his robe that was sending off a red essence. Eruda's chest started to pound from the pressure. Starting to think to herself -He is right. This will only get harder. I know he believes in me. Now I just need to believe in myself.- These words rang true in her head as she was starting to see truth in her heart that she knew she could pass this test. Eruda attempts to attack the big one again but her blade skims across trimming a few hairs of it's body before it runs right after Raidou. Eruda turns to see the beast latch onto Raidou's leg, hard. Eruda screams "NO" and runs at the warg and almost body slams into the creature causing it to detach from Raidou's leg. The other wolves also attack Raidou but only one seemed to chop hard against is free arms. Eruda stands between Raidou and the large beast, standing back to back with Raidou. She was trying so hard but nothing seemed to be working. Eruda stands straight up placing her shield in front of her watching the large beast for it's next move.

[Raidou 1]

A fire in her yell, Raidou could feel the onset of a true tank with the fueled charge. She understood the gravity of protecting those around her, that was important but not a clause of the test. "Relax Eruda, I am not the same boy you knew from secret medicine of the forest. Take a look to my health bar." Raidou spoke in softness, as his HP easily negated most of the incoming damage. "But if that was an ally, where would they be? You need to learn to connect, never falter, and remain calm in adversity. This is bound to happen but how you deal with it can change, take control of the situation." he spins his blade and plants the Auric Sol onto his back, ripping free his other blade. "Control." he remarks as the black star is removed from its sheath, it was time for a show and tell, to impart a lesson that words alone could not portray as he places a hand to the front of her armor to allow him some space.

Stepping back a bit more Eruda glances up at Raidou's health pool as it began to recover. Eruda has no words but smiles a bit. Eruda watches as the large beast starts to run at Raidou once more but this time he was ready for it. The beast niks his hand before the raises up and smacks him hard sending it flying, causing it to slide across the ground. The other wolve charge at Raidou and with the same notion, one by one Raidou used the weight of his sword to send each flying in different directions. Eruda watching him, it was amazing to just watch as he didn't ever move from the spot that he stood and regardless of the weight of his weapon he was so quick to react to each one. Looking to the wolves laying around now they were having trouble getting to there feet but manage to do so. "Control" Eruda says under her breath. "I realized that you were not the same person from before but I didn't know how far that scenario went" Eruda says looking to the Warg placing her shield up. "I will not miss this time if I can help it" saying with confidence to each word.

[Raidou 1]

She seemed to understand, but it was just a single showing of two parts for his health was still a little down and he would like to prove just how safe he truly was. His blade growls with a darkened red energy as he collides moving on the offensive. This wolf skips like a stone across the water into a large tree, it shakes as it limps and cannot get to its feet. A trail of red energy built upon Raidou's weapon causes his HP to skyrocket back to full. The other two lunge at him and two quick decisive connections in a pivot knock them in a firing shot away, one ricocheting off a dormant stone as the other grinds against the earth. A flourish Raidou returns to a defensive stance and just parries the alpha, he knew that if he were to counter Eruda would have no hope of taking the creature's attentions. This was not the goal as she would not be contesting other tank's hatred. "My health now?" Raidou asks for her to look one time, as he beckons her to strike the wolf that he had not.

Watching Raidou health regain to full now he shows her that she had nothing to worry about when it came to him. With a small nod of understanding she looks back to the large beast with the intent to hit it very hard. Eruda runs at the warg and with a sliding hault she slices downward at the creature, but the creature pays no mind to her and just starts running at Raidou. Eruda's mind thinks quickly as she pulls her shield up her arm and grabs the beast tale with both her hands, pulling it backward and then runs and slides in front of it and bashes it with her shield not to cause damage but to make it stop in its tracks. "Your fight is with me" Eruda says with a glare just a foot from its large form. It tries to look past toward Raidou but Eruda was blocking it view. The other 2 wolves proceed to try attacking Raidou but he swiftly knocks them back as the last one slowly gets back up.

[Raidou 1]

A gained understanding and possibly imparted knowledge in the same right, a tick of poison reducing Raidou's HP slightly before his battle healing quickly refuels it back to full. "Then you understand there is no danger here, it is simply for a proof that you can remain calm when efforts may not agree with your actions. Keep trying Eruda, I know you can succeed." with a full frontal assault being reduced to no more than a soft breeze, his tanking blade being more than ampule at negating the incoming attempts at his health bar. Spinning the blade, Raidou sheathes it and draws Auric Sol once more in a pulse of sunlight. The swords were literally night and day, complete opposites in weight & effect, the motifs being more than the differences between them as he begins to shift aside, his speed liberated in the changed equipment in a sudden burst of displaced dust.

[Eruda 0]

Raidou believes in me. I can do this.. Eruda thinks to herself as she begins to think of how much she wanted to be by Raidou's side. How much she wanted to stay in Firm Anima. She could already see herself improving and that is way more than she could ever say when in the real world. Closing her eyes as the beast snarles in front of her she focuses on a single attack. The last attack that would determine the fate of which Eruda would end up. In so little time she has been happier than she ever has in her entire life. Eruda smiles at this thought as she opens her eyes and in the corner of her eye she sees her sword glow brighter than it has all day. In this moment Eruda knew that now was the time to swing her weapon. Eruda quickly jumps back and upcuts swiftly toward the large creatures face making contact. The Warg cries out in pain as a large gash shows across its left eye. Trying to take revenge upon Eruda it tries to bite into Eruda's heavy chest piece as it collides with her shield that was already in front of her. The large beast cries out in pain once again as tiny spikes flies from her shield into its face in the same spot she just hit.

Eruda hears shifting behind her as Raidou dodges easy from the other wolves. Eruda stares at the beast with a grin painted across her face and she feels like a weight is lifted off her. Eruda becomes relaxed but aware now ready for this thing standing in front of her to die.

[Raidou 1]

An actual attention causes a shift of focus, the creature's line of sight pours into its would be aggressor. The warg begins to assail the plated tank, bouncing rather harmlessly off her shield "Good, Eruda good!" Raidou exclaims as at the last possible moment, his word had reached the very thing he had been aiming. "Then with this, the task is complete." Raidou remarks as a brilliant gold hue take the edge of Auric Sol. This left but one thing remaining to do, cull the herd. A quick tear around to a slice that causes the Alpha to recede toward its kin, a burned trail of scorched earth as lines of energy tear along the ground. Six lines drawn in the dirt, Raidou spins the blade, and as he waves it down to his right, a column of luminosity bursts at his back. It fades to a blueish glimmer leaving burned out statues of the creatures behind before a soft wind carries the ash away.

[Eruda 0]

Eruda was ready to hit another time but it and all the others burst into data as they blows away in the midnight breeze. Eruda stands there staring at where the creature was as her hair dances within each small gust. It started to sink in that that last swing was her last chance to prove she could do it. At the very last moment she succeeded. It reminded her more of the secret medicine quest more than she would like. Trying to keep her breathing easy she puts her weapon and shield to rest, turning to Raidou. Gently biting her bottom lip as she walks toward Raidou a bit nervous but she was more calm knowing that she passed his test barely. Standing in front of him now saying "Your words help me more than you will ever know Raidou. I am really glad that I am able to stay. I really don't know what I would have done if I didn't pass tonight. You and Firm Anima mean the world to me and honestly I wouldn't want to be anywhere else besides where I am right now." Eruda spoke nothing but the truth in each word said. As nervous as she might be she really was happy. Eruda stood there with a smile looking into what could be his eyes through his frames in the reflective night. Eruda knew that she had the quest to turn in but she wanted just a bit more time with Raidou knowing this might not happen again for a while due to how busy he was during the day. Her heart starts to race but she tries to ignore it knowing what Raidou told her earlier about waiting. Eruda was fine with this but she wanted every chance she had with him to count.

[Raidou 1]

A flourish quickly brings the glowing steel to its sheathe, the gleaming light decaying as it returned to the scabbard. Adjusting the glasses to his nose, with the beasts turning to ash the task was completed. Eruda had succeeded, and Raidou despite his outward appearance inside a sigh of relief. "With that return to Gatsby, Eruda and finish the quest out. Welcome to Firm Anima's Vanguard Divison." he says with a solid form in his voice. Shifting into the treeline he had time to kill before the next group, and Eruda couldn't hesitate on the journey back and neither could the budding guild master. She would be fine but the lesson needs time in solidarity to cement in her head, for it was a bit more of a struggle to finish than Raidou had hoped but in the end, she managed to succeed. Finding a patch of herbs, Raidou could not help but smile but he was unsure why.

Listening to the few words Raidou spoke, Eruda smiles as these words were all she wanted to hear. Raidou walks into the tree lines and Eruda turns and starts walking back toward town. Her HUD chimes with another message from Freya. It was late in the night and she was still awake at this hour. Knowing that everything was looking up for her now that the weight was lifted from her body she finally responds with "Fine, I will meet you. Meet me at the fountain in the town of beginning at 7am tomorrow. If you are not there then you will loose your chance," Eruda sighs as her HUD chimes with the sent message. 

Eruda goes back to have a conversation letting him know that the threat was no longer a threat. As happy as he was Eruda could help but smile knowing that she passed but knew that she still had a lot of work that she needed to do on herself starting with figuring out what she was going to do with Freya. With that her HUD chimes again with the completion of the quest. She heads back to Floor one and to her shop to get some rest for tomorrow was going to be something else for Eruda.
