PERSONALITY Haku is peaceful and quiet. She doesn’t often shout, nor anger easily.. She finds it easier to walk away from heated situations so she can come back with a clear head. People have often said Haku has a calming presence. Her speech is slow and calm with the typical Osakian drawl. Haku finds great joy in helping others and seeing them smile. She tires very easily, and gets confused often. Haku isn’t the type to persevere through hardships. If something is difficult or she has multiple failures - then she will often give up and try something else.  Haku tries her best to keep a positive attitude but finds herself easily overwhelmed. Haku doesn't mind crowds, nor does she mind being a solitary player. If asked if she was outgoing or recluse she'd probably say she sat in the middle, after changing her mind several times on the matter. BACKSTORY Haku works part time as a Shrine Maiden at the Shitenno-Ji temple, one of the oldest temples in Japan. The job is poor-paying, but the hours are flexible and Haku is able to meet new people. Haku enjoys the quiet reverence of the place, and seeing people from all over the world. Although she won’t be seen talking to tourists often, as she feels she has poor language skills and does not wish to try.  Haku lives in a small apartment which she shares with her friend - Shinobu. Whom she met during her time at University. Unfortunately Haku failed her Medical Degree, after dropping out of Osaka University. She had wanted to be a medical practitioner, but had failed. With her family shamed, they withdrew their financial support of her - so Haku does her best to make ends meet. She’s not entirely happy with her situation, but she isn’t sad either. Haku, despite the support from hr friend - doesn’t want to try again and is content to live a meager life. Shinobu, feeling a little frustrated with Haku’s complacent attitude toward her life decided to have Haku join her in the new phenomenon ‘Sword Art Online’  they were meant to go in together, have some fun - and Shinobu wanted to work on increasing Haku’s confidence. Shinobu disappeared shortly after the tragedy. Leaving Haku all alone in a world she didn’t even want to be in.

 

VIRTUES + VICES   >>VIRTUES<< -Affable Ori is easy-going and well-natured. Talking to her or approaching her won't cause you any problems. Ori will always be the kind of person to offer you a warm smile and friendly, meaningless banter. Ori doesn't judge others on appearances, crystals, or demeanor. -Laid Back Ori is pretty chill. She doesn't really have a big drive to better herself, or others around her - and when things are too hard she'll just quit or walk away. Sound bad? Maybe, but Ori doesn't care - she just wants to live her life in the most chillest way possible. "Let someone else deal with it, that sounds too hard." She will often say.  -Wise Ori may have dropped out of University, and may be lazy - but hey, at least she has a good head on her shoulders. She's well read, just too lazy to apply it. Ori can often see when or wear issues may arise and offer sound solutions. It's just a matter of if she'd actually bother or not. >>VICES<< -Empathetic Ori is a rather emphatic person. When others around her are sad and vulnerable she feels part of their pain. Her compassion for others often puts her in  less than ideal situations. And she can often insert herself into peoples lives where they do not want her. Unable to bear the thought of others being inherently upset Ori fails to understand that it’s okay to be sad sometimes. And that others need their own space. Her Empathetic nature means well, but is usually executed poorly. If people come to her with real problems or issues Ori will be overwhelmed and nope herself the hell outta there. -Trusting Ori hasn’t really experienced anything harsh in her life. So she’s never really felt the need to distrust anyone. Ori finds that there should be good in everyone, especially in a game which wouldn’t allow anyone with a criminal record to play. So surely, everyone here would be nice, right? What reason would anyone have to lie in a world where everything is virtual? -Indecisive Ori is very indecisive. She can’t decide on what to do with her life, what to do with her skills, or even what to do in regards to quests. Ori’s indecisiveness makes her a difficult companion when it comes to fighting, or questing. As she’ll be constantly questioning what she should be doing, where she should be going - and what she should be fighting.
