Ueno, Yukio is the oldest of 3 siblings. Throughout elementary and secondary school, he was mediocre. Average at sports, grades, and life in general. The boy was a wall flower. However, during the years of high school, he began to flourish in groups and exceed in learning and growing. Having breached top 10 of the school of over 3,000 students, he had hit stardom in academics. He excelled in fencing that lead to national recognition during his heyday. The studious young man had something to hide. Nothing was ever for himself. “Yukio… you must set an example! Yukio… you need to prove to the rest of the family that our family is worth something. Yukio… Yukio Yukio!”

As the years progressed out of school, he openly enrolled in university in Tokyo, Japan. With his star academics, he easily enrolled into the prestige schools. There was a course of action that did lead to something strange. He was an avid gamer. 90 percent of his friends knew nothing of his closet behavior. He was indeed a fake. He enrolled in the medical academy for prosthetics as the pressure was on for his family. If one knew him personally, they would ideally call him a coward for not standing up for himself. He was a people pleaser, brown noser, a man who could manipulate words to make things work. Fake. All that hard work showed nothing of his passion. His passion was to be surrounded by video games and to not worry about life. While his brain could process science, he wanted to process dreams. While his grades reflected a genius, it was just hard work every day. No friends, no parties, nothing.

The invention of the SAO universe was something that he had to have. Every bit of money he could gather was for this moment. He could be himself beyond human capabilities and escape the hardship of everyone. Forget people, forget the deadline. He wanted to be one of the first players in SAO. He would not regret his decision.

 

Virtues:

 

Adaptable: Yukio is has been taught in various ways to become versatile. With daily change, he has envisioned himself to calculate the best route to deal with a situation. Any situation is adaptable with sacrifice and perseverance, so long as he is able to live with his decision and lie in bed with it.

 

Compassion: There are very few things that Yukio is compassionate about. However, if one would crack the shell, one would be able to tell that he was compassionate. He would feel pity and remorse for those less fortunate and would strive to help. He sees them suffering like he had suffered and must try to make things work for them without rest.  

 

Passionate: Passion is seen within everything he does when it comes to things he loves. His love for whatever he loves is shown by his knowledge, excellence, and execution. With time, bonds will come and there he will be to stick with them showing them that they couldn’t of made a better choice.

 

Flaws:

 

Fake: If there is one thing that no one knows about him is how fake he is. Being able to fake it to make other things its believable is something he has mastered. His fake behavior is a deep-seated secret that lead back to his childhood days. To break it will be a challenge to overcome.

Withdrawn: Despite the social behavior, he is a rather withdrawn person. He prefers a setting that he is to himself and would rather spend time reading a book or preferably a video to soak up the time. This has lead to a variety of situations where he has awkwardly been in. Paths that could have been open to him have been closed due to his strange behavior.

Arrogance: His arrogance is a façade but none the less it is due to the fact that his parents have drilled it in his head that he must show that he is better than the rest of his other extended family. He is known to show off his ability to understand medical knowledge and flaunt that he is able to perform it despite him not actually caring. While he is usually mild mannered, his arrogance will trigger if someone disagrees with what he stays when he knows the knowledge is sound.
