[F9-PP] Where weaker men fear to tread

Recommended Posts

Upon his routine yield hammering away with repeated shows of strength that cast showers of stone away from the node he was working. Endurance bled from his stature with each pound, his armor away left only his tanned and hardened skin to bear. To most the fires of this floor were taxing, draining, and left one feeling weak. This however was the smith's domain, unfrittered by the heat that caused the sweat to bead on his neck.

Hunks of stone cascade away, placed upon the side of the volcanic profaned peak where the richest of minerals had a way of cropping up. A large tower of pure muscle with short exhales with each pounding of the almost dwarfed mallet in his grasp, his familiar at his side eagerly lapping up the bits into its furnace like maw. Swords needed forging, and he was a hard man to rival in his craft.

Abrams had made this walk many times before, the walk to his favorite inn from some random one on the other side of town. If this were the real world he’s sure the headache would make last night much less enjoyable. As the cut of beef so tender and tasty struts through the town, he hears a hammer ringing rhythmically from the field. It had grabbed his attention quickly and effectively, holding it as the young man turns and starts his journey to find the source of the sound.

It wasn’t long before the beef cake made his way to a man breaking down ores as his familiar appears to gobble them up, and he smirks watching this guy hammer away. “You know, sometimes it helps to hit with less than 100%” he would state, walking down to the man who had made such a ruckus. “But I don’t subscribe to such a weak ideology, and from the looks, neither do you. Name’s Abrams, who are you?”

The insistent blows each with equivalent force kept fierce, laced with the power he'd use to crack skulls the same. A voice at his back, causing Vulcan to perch with a bit of his meal pouring from its gullet in bright orange liquid. He'd look over his shoulder, a man of similar stature. Strange, he thought everyone was small scrawny athletic types. "That kind of medicine is for the weak." Griswold barked as he spun the hammer in pause, taking a white rag and wrapping it around his shoulders. "Abrams was it? Griswold Grimoult. Most just call me Griswold. Nice to see someone who looks like they wont blow away in the wind." he chuckles in a bellowing chested laugh.

"Hell of a place for a stroll, What brings you all the way out this far?" the smith asks of this male, unsure as to what his travels might have brought him here for.
