[F01 - R5 Merchant] Underworld Curios

Recommended Posts

Hidden among the many stalls and buildings in the market district of the Town of Beginnings lies a mausoleum common in most cemeteries, but quite out of place in a shopping district. A medium sized building made out of black stones, stairs taking you up to the main building with no doors past a set of stony pillars. Through the doorway lies a room slightly sunken into the floor, cold, with no visible light coming from the building itself, the only light filtering in through the open doorway. In the center of the room lies a spiral staircase leading down into the earth. Following those stairs leads you down into a well lit, sweet lavender smelling room underneath the mausoleum. The walls are covered in random wares and there are tables set up in the room holding glass cases with more goods locked away inside. At the back of the room lies a counter with a short slender man standing behind it and a cat sized chicken with a dragon like tail curled up on a dog bed off to one side of the counter. "Hello, and welcome to Underworld Curios, I am the Grimm Reaper, what can I help you with today?" A black haired man with red eyes asks you with a warm smile, and soft eyes.

Ozwald placed his final glass case, it was finally done, he could finally say that he owned his own shop. Ozwald was proud of himself, only in a matter of days he was able to fully build Underworld Curios the underworld thematic shop.  Ozwald walked into the back shop and looked at all of the gear he needed to identify and picked two of the up,  both heavy shields that Ozwald wanted to use for himself if they were good enough. Ozwald opened the HUD on both items and clicked the little identify button, waiting for the bar to fill so that he could see their information.

Bistro was no stranger to the first. It only made sense that should a new store gone up there -- the ideal locale to set up shop in the first place, mind you -- the alchemist would be completely aware of its presence even past the days before its opening debut. It meant she didn't have to chase Firm Anima up on the twenties and onwards anymore, and to that, Bistro stepped into the curiosity shop with a pep in her step.

Time to shock a newbie for their gods-forsaken life.

"Requesting a junk-sale, please!" That cheesy smile, that beam of light was soon overshadowed by the cratefuls of potions and crystals, stacking one on top of the other. If the shop wasn't big enough to contain that many items, surely they would've poured out onto the streets by now.

Surely.

With a lot of duds out his crafts, it was only to be expected that he would have to get rid of them somewhere. These weren't good enough to sell, and nobody wanted uncommons in the first place- little use for them all around. He entered one of the merchants' shops around the first, knowing fully well that some were said to be able to junk sell them and give him some of his money and effort back. Maybe he could loop this all the way so he recycled all of his materials right back to him, who knew? But for now, with the same cocky smile as ever, he stepped into the store and looked down at Grimm, with an eyebrow raised. "Why you, I've some stuff I want you to sell. Shouldn't be hard for a good merchant like yourself, no~?"

With nothing but good intentions towards his new companion, Chase entered the store. All that he knew about his profession was that it worked differently. The more they identify or sell items, the better their rank. And as such, he thought he could 'waste', or rather invest, some money into Ozwald to boost him all the way to max. That way, they could also cut a deal sooner or later, more like an 'exclusivity' contract. "This is going to sound absurd, but... Give me some stupid number of T1 Blank Maps. I'll buy 668, there, some huge number. Just give me them.", he said while placing him a few armors and respites in return on the counter. "And now that you'll get to max rank, I want you to identify these. And drink this before you do, too.", he continued to dump him with items, placing a brew on the counter. "Oh, and sell these while you're at it too. Busy day ahead.", and to go along with his comically large order, he placed some more trinkets and consumables on the counter for junk selling. Ah, the joy of surprise visits.

Ozwald was surprised that his blue haired friend had suddenly barged in, but he was glad to once again have the man's help in becoming better. Ozwald accepted the order for blank maps, receiving two notifications from the system in immediate succession, he was now officially a rank five merchant. Ozwald took a look at the items that Chase needed appraised and decided to get to work, but first he drake the potion that was forced into his hands. ozwald started the tedious task of testing different instruments on each piece of equipment. "This might take a little bit, I can message you when they are done, or you can wait here." Ozwald said barely looking away from his task.

With all of his items finished up, Chase watched the delivery of seven damn armors, knowing fully well that all were packed with uniques perfectly, as requested. He just smiled further at the sight, taking a deep breath and accepting them, alongside with whatever was junked- in Col. Now that he was done with the first batch, it was good enough to move on to the second! After all, no rest for the wicked whatsoever. That's how the saying went. "This is the last item I can give you before needing to go out again. It's not a brew, but it does the same thing- use that and another respite and identify these for me, do the same process."

[ChaseR hands Grimm Reaper a x1 Milky Way Blueprint!]

Ozwald sighed, the work wasn't easy and Chase sure knew how to buy in bulk. Ozwald nodded at the request idly scratching at the familiar that accompanied him in his shop. "Okay, but once again this will take plenty of time, I will make sure to work as fast as I am able." Ozwald may have sighed at the large request, but he loved his work, and even more so he loved helping out his friends. Ozwald began applying different tonics, and utilizing different tools, on each piece of equipment separately, making sure to get an accurate read.

It was a first. Valentine never went into Grimms shop as he did not want to disturb. This was the first time he managed to weasel his way in. He did so more out of business then anything. He had accumulated some pointless items in his shop. Merchants apparently had an ability to scrap it down for cash. It was the reason that Valentine came to this shop specifically. If he went to another merchant they would get at least 10% of the profit. Here Grimm would still receive 10% but since it was his heart. The money was never truly lost.

"Hi babe. I cannot stay long. I brought some items for you to junk. When you do the Col could be saved by you. It can go towards repairing the house so you do not have to give it back right away. Time is of the essence so I cannot stay long. I promise to come back at another time. When I do you can show me all around the place." Valentine gave a sultry smile as he flirted while he was departing.

Ozwald heard the little ding of a bell as someone walked into his shop. Looking up from whatever task was at hand Ozwald was relieved to see that it was in fact not Chase this time, but rather his lover who had finally managed to stop by his shop. "Oh hello Luv, what brings you by my humble shop?" Ozwald asked stepping around the counter to give him a small peck on the cheek. Ozwald could see that his man was busy though, so he got right to work on the small load that he had brought in, being completely able to hand Valentine his portion of the col before he walked out of his shop.
