History:

[XXXX] - Full History to be unlocked at a later time!

From the time he was young, nothing interested Evander.

As experiences came and went, the fleeting and vague fulfillment he got from seeing new things and meeting new people slowly faded. When he finally reached a point where he found no point to it all. It wasn't that he wanted to die. Evander wanted something beyond what the world could offer, something that only he could have. The few friends he had as a child were content with playing outdoors and make believe, and as he grew older, he started roleplaying. It engaged him better than anything in the real world, but he would bore of campaigns when his Game Masters started recycling content.

Then, he heard about Sword Art Online. Development stage content was surreal to him: a world where his mind was free of his body, and he could be anything he wanted. A virtual world in which he could be a warrior, learn to use weapons that were considered outdated in the modern age, and fight against creatures that the real world only had in stories. Evander watched with great interest as the development moved into testing stages, and once the Beta was released and he read the testers' statements, he was sold.

When the game released, he took all the money he'd made from his part time job and bought the NerveGear, ran home, and logged in.

Personality:

Distant from almost all of his peers, Evander always struggled with making friends. Only, that never seemed to bother him. He's only interested in anything that can keep him entertained and engaged. He's not mean spirited intentionally, but he does come off as aloof, disinterested, and at times rude. When he is engaged, he's upbeat and energetic, ready to step up to any challenge.

Toward his friends, Evander isn't unkind, but they're generally people who accept him in spite of his quirks. He tries to be nice, but people can almost always tell he's distracted.
