[F15-PP] A road traveled, message returned (Bane of Blood)

Recommended Posts

OOC EN Regen: [1/2]

A single exhale to allow the still lingered energy to bleed out of bated breath. Within that sound, a slight hiss is barely audible. "Debatable, but the numbers are surely bigger." Raidou replied in analysis, allowing a still fickle fury to be placed away in a box. A shift of the broadsword in his grasp, docking it behind his right shoulder, he takes to fix the frames on his nose which had shifted slightly in the exchange. A tap of his sonar like skill forces it out, checking, watching and waiting for that single moment it would read back a hostile. Left empty, no response. "It will with time, and the beauty of a path is that once it is walked." He ushers beside her and removes a small leather bound book, taking a moment to attempt to read it. "You never left in my opinion, Fuyuko. Just some time off to see where your path led."

The verbiage that Raidou used when he spoke always confused the girl. He was a mystery all in his own that even a Yokai like her struggled to understand. Though she still could understand what he was saying, it took a few seconds to process. He almost seemed like he was part of a program in the game or something.

"I'm glad to hear it. I haven't been the best guild member or friend, but I think that can change. The reflection I've been doing since I left and meeting you here has made me realize that I can't stand being alone anymore. How has the hard headed idiot cook been? Haven't talked with him in awhile." Opening her menu, she checked to see if he was still on her friends list and not been removed from his. Thankfully he was still there.

Just as she was closing out her menu, she noticed her energy was back to full. "Alright Red, I'm good now. Let's get back to it."

A lift to his feet, a draw of his weapon in a quick jerk up and over his right shoulder. "Gaius is doing better, getting better. It's a difficult world for those isolated." The red wanderer remarked in a short response, his weapon flares and with a speed almost unmatched he rockets forward. The lack of weight on his blade, composed with every skill to augment it available, made what came next a force to be reckoned. A bolt of lighting fires down the blade, FTK's lingering blessing drawing it into a scattering of energy right into the pack that was stricken blind. Like stones from an explosion, like leaves in a hurricane. They scatter.

An outcry about them, and his weapon as it casts a thunderous boom from the impact against the floor. Forks of energy bend and twist through the air. But that blow is stopped dead by a foolish attempt to protect their leader from the swordsman. "Clever, and commendable. But unlikely." Fox was gone, already slinked away and held into the foliage that surrounded them. The traveler, rips up a blade and locks a pair of teeth on the edge of his steel. A strange placid and stoic look on his brow, unfazed and clearly determined.

The fox disappeared into the cascade of shade. Her scythe, the harbinger of death, ready to taste the flesh of it's next victim. The claw of her weapon shinned in the darkness as she approached the stunned targets laying helplessly on the ground. They couldn't even try to evade the sly fox. Even with the pack advantage, these dogs were nothing but pups compared to her.

The red seething light tore through the darkness and mist of the forest. The unmoving canines could do nothing but watch as her scythe tore their game models into shreds. Yet somehow, the leader of the group was too agile to get a clear hit on. It was even able to evade her all-seeing eyes.

"Careful Red, the leader is something else. I've already lost track of him. Best we deal with these three first then focus on the boss when he's alone." Fox mentioned before disappearing back into the shadows.

Like a scalpel, behind Megitsune's swing The wanderer exploits the openings made. Beneath that wide arc of her's he slides low, the point of his blade wearing a groove into the floor beneath his feet. Drawing a heavy line through just adding that much more to Fox's seens them cut to pieces. They twist behind the vorpal metal, bending toward it like leaves on a breeze. With a howl that is cut short the entirety of Bane's army was cut down in an instant. "You can stop hiding, I will find you." Raidou remarks honestly, fixing his lenses on his face. It was the truth, there was no use in attempting to hide from him. And where he was, Fuyuko wouldn't be far behind. A slight twist in the brush sees it out, a bounce of his steel in a twist. Fox disappears, and Raidou holds that standard that was his. An overwhelming defense above all else.

Normally the Kitsune wouldn't have a problem tracking her targets through the dark mist of night, yet somehow she was still having an exceedingly difficult time find the last remaining wolf. It had to be the leader of the pack, much more dangerous than any of the canine's they finished already. Finally, she would lay eyes on the enemy before it caught a glimpse of her. Raidou's skills would keep it busy enough for her to attack from behind without failure.

As she stepped in to take a strike at the wolf, it dodged her attack so effortlessly it was laughable in her position. Without a moment to waste, it jumped on her before she could escape back into the shadows. The only thing that saved her from getting torn apart was the metal shaft of her weapon pressed against the neck of the beast. The saliva dripping from it's mouth stained her clothing. "Red! Help me out here!"

An energy riddles his steel, washing the place in yellow light. A scatter of electricity as it jumps down to the point and back to the handle like a tesla coil, and the slam sends the beast spiraling away like a bullet. Raidou rips his blade around and his robe sways, a shield of silver blocks his eyes from view. What comes after is a pulse of red like a heartbeat, creating a film of fumes that rise off his shoulders. They shift and sway, his rage running wild as it assaults the creatures senses. Collapsing in a pile after skipping along the ground, spinning in a tumble before the momentum forces it to drag on its side. A small trail left in its wake, a groove at which its fur had raked the earth. A soft exhale from the swordsman as he focused intensely in his silence, that blow of his had done quite a number. Shown upon a health bar that loses a huge chunk in an instant.

The battle was coming to a climax with only the alpha wolf remaining. With a single strike, not only had Raidou taken control of it's attacking pattern, but also did more damage than she could possibly match. Needless to say, she was pretty impressed. The Red Wander was such a confused spirit when she first met him, but it looks like her words really spurred him into something special. Not to mention how she was ever so slightly jealous that he could out-damage her when he was a tank.

Any damage was damage right now, though. The red sickle of the death bringing illuminated the misty moonlit night for only a second before it plunged into the earth just next to the wolves form. Had she really become this rusty in just a few months of exile? Quickly, the fox removed the weapon from the dirt and returned to the darkened mist where she belonged.

Megitsune claims her weapon and within a quick leap she slides out of the fray, as the red wanderer closes the distance at a break neck pace. The ground beneath him tears, a pressure of visible wind scatters dust in a circle from the point of origin. The attack that follows carves a bright line along the beast in a flash of yellow, a chunk removed in an instant. The following sound like thunder, the hound is knocked again to the floor and tumbles into a roll. It chokes and growls in a damaged howl, its resistance to the swordsman. The player however seems unconvinced, unconcerned in his placid expression. A spin of the weapon in his right hand allows air across his palm before its raised in a cross with his left shoulder extended: His defensive stance, the very same that would discourage most from making a rebuttal. A glare of his eyes, a pulse of red miasma and an undeniable fury coloring them both in crimson.

  • 2 weeks later...

The call of the beast caught the fox off guard. Raidou was managing extremely well just by himself, thankfully. The rusty plays made by Megitsune would surely bite her in the ass if this was anyone other than the Red Wanderer. Even with all her enhancements to aid her in battle, she continues to miss the wolf. The crescent red of her blade soared through the air to meet nothing but that. The wolf was too aware of her position so she would need to step out and try to go completely incognito.

When she had the moment to strike, she would take it rather than just attempting to slice the beast off cool down. Lingering shadow's wove a quiet blanket around her, slowly repositioning to force the wolf to lose it's focus on her. Once it wavered for even a second, she would tear it half with her steel talon.
