"None taken, its actually a bit refreshing to mess up once in a while." A flap of his tapestry as it reaffixes to his shoulders, A twist of his sword triggers it to scream with energy. "I am beginning to wonder if perhaps I may have been wrong." he remarks rather calmly as the whispers blade began to swell and roar with its own magnificence. "Before I was convinced that I would die here, and that I needed to pass that torch. And although it may still very well happen, I cannot help but wonder." The pair burn a trail in a swirl of yellow and black, shoving large swords through the waning beast like scissors before cleaving it in two. "Maybe you have proven that incorrect. I cannot seem to falter or fail truly with the guild always there to save my skin." Glitches were known to happen from time to time. The Whisper shrugged and wandered over to where the giant dog lay beaten and broken, then braced a leg against its massive, traumatized ribcage. Lifting his sword high overhead, he let it charge with holy light for a moment before plunging it down straight into the creature's heart. There the blade feasted as the mob withered and died before their eyes, neither one of them remorseful for the act. This was about survival and achieving the impossible. If he managed to rekindle the vanguard's faith in himself, then he had already achieved his goal. The man could not afford to die, or to be left to die. Freyd knew the conclusion of this tale, already, and fed him back what he had been forced to promise: hope.
