Location Creation Contest
(I am somewhat sorry for this terrible title.)

As we move into 3.0, allowing players to create and manipulate site lore will become a main focus. New ways to leave your mark on the site's permanent setting will be made available, both in-character and out of it. To kick things off, we're hosting a location creation contest. You will have the opportunity to propose a point of interest for an existing floor of your choice. Then, the choices will be presented anonymously, and the community will vote on their favorite. The winning idea will be accepted into the new 3.0 floor description, and become a fixture in SAO-RPG's canon!

Rules

• You may not share your proposal with anyone else. Discussing submissions is fine, but as soon as you claim one as your own (here, on Discord, via smoke signal, etc.), you will be disqualified. This is to discourage a popularity contest, or people bargaining for votes.
  • Notice it's written in red, and bolded, and first, because it's serious.
• Please do not submit entire floors. While we would love to hear about your large-scale projects, this contest is specific to points of interest.
  • Think ruins, temples, small towns, caves, holes in the ground, giant trees, that sort of thing.
• Your idea must be uniquely your own. While you may be inspired by a location in a different universe, your submission should not be a copy.
• All players, including staff, are eligible to participate. Lessa is not, as Lessa will be handling the submissions and the votes as they come in. She also doesn't have any muse, anyway.
• Send your entry to Lessa via site private message. All questions can also be directed to her (here, on Discord, via smoke signal, etc.), or posted in this thread.
  • Of course, questions specific to your entry should be kept private.
• Players may submit two entries each. This is two entries per writer, not character.
• All submissions that fit within the site's existing setting will be considered. For example, a Tron-style race-track, while super cool, would violate the setting.
• Entries can be submitted until 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, February 14th (or Valentines Day, if you're into that kind of thing). Voting will run directly afterward.

Submission

Title: What shall we call this place?
Floor: Choose a floor between 1 and 25.
Description: What does it look like? What does it do? Why is it unique? Why should players go there, and what will they experience? This needs to be between 50-300 words.
Picture: While this isn't necessary, it may help make visualizing your location easier.

Rewards
First place will earn the following:

• A place in SAO-RPG's lore, and credit for your work.
• An on-site title change.
• Bragging rights.
