Freya wakes early after a long conversation with Sam. She was glad that she was able to clear things up with Sam. With everything she had been through, she couldn't have players being afraid of what she was becoming and who she was. She takes the sleepy Ko in her hands who was laying in the bed and cuddles against her face. Ko gives a purr and a yawn and they both get up and walk to the kitchen. Today she was going to do something different. She makes the usual breakfast dishes, eggs bacon, and toast adding a honey roll to each plate. It was only 6 am but she wanted to get her day started and she wanted Gaius to join her. Making a few kibble meat mixtures for the familiars she eats her portion really fast as Ko ate hers and walks to the shop.

Setting the plate of food on the table for a moment she makes some tea for Gaius and coffee with vanilla for her. She walks upstairs with the meal and tea while Ko tries her best to walk up the stairs with Boris's food bowl in her mouth. Opening the door she sets the breakfast and hot tea on the table by Gaius bed side with a smile. She pulls the chair up to the bed and sits. Boris wakes and crawls over Gaius's legs, jumping off the bed with a yawn as Ko walks into the room with his food. Freya sits on the chair giving Gaius a chance to wake as she drinks her coffee. Opening her HUD she sends a message through Guild Chat asking anyone that would like to join to meet her on floor 5 in 1 hour. With a chime the message was sent.

[Setsuna 0]

A wistful rest that was starting to take hold in short portions, a slight bob of her head for just a moment as she began to sleep for the first time in what felt like a lifetime. Haunting faces in distortion, faint figures blurred as if looking through a frozen window pane. Muffled screaming through deaf ears as it sounded underwater. A pull to a line before her, a fish had taken the hook. A slight jerk breaks the slumber. Holding the rod and looking to the NPC at her side who sat quietly, she begins to turn the reel. A flounder on the end, pathetic in size she tosses it back.

A ding of her HUD, duty was calling. A slide of the menu to read its contents, that ambitious blonde had another to which she'd want to attempt. Floor 5, the desert. She reluctantly sent but a brief message back. Raking her heels against the side, dripping liquid causing ripples in the ever-clear lake of reflections. A rise and a single step as she hands the pole back to the NPC to which it was borrowed. A couple of small footprints outlined on the wooden dock, as she made for Coral to descend to the tan sands.

A rise from slumber, Boris clambering over him with a hunger to drive him. A slink out of his bed to find Freya just camping out in his room. "Why did you break into my room?" Gaius asked rather bluntly, her father would either kill him or them both for this. Boris had since found his breakfast, yawning with a smack before cooing at Ko. A slight mess once he starts, dumping tiny brown spheres everywhere. Now Gaius could die on them, this was why he didn't eat in his room. A soft sigh as he reaches for the cup of tea, not getting what Freya's motives were as he popped open his menu and began to scroll through daily affairs like an old man watching the weather channel. "Another quest, shit I'm game." Gaius spoke eyeballing the floor where his armor and clothes were still strewn about the place. She hadn't cleaned up any, so at least there was a little of his privacy left.

[Griswold 0]

Refining some of the ores brought in by Raidou, adding a bit of what he on tap to create some stronger alloys. Vulcan was drooling out the molten metal into casts, Griswold tosses him a red and a yellow laced one. It heats and pure hot amber bleeds from its maw, Griswold taking a moment to swap molds for a couple of ingots. A ring of his HUD makes him miss a bit like the familiar dribbled. Thankfully the floor wasn't wooden, the glory of having an almost fully stone shop. It quickly cools in a deep brownish orange spot. Griswold taps the spot to get Vulcan interested in it, a huff of flames as he begins to drag his face against it like a tongue. Freya was interested in another quest, and this old man would join her. A reach from his bent position to claim a resting hammer from atop a steel grey anvil. He twists his head with a jerk to his right to a satisfying pop.

Freya wanted to be angry at the comment but he was right. "I thought breakfast in bed was a good idea at the time but now thinking about it...Sorry..." She gets up from the chair with a yawn. Setting her coffee down for a moment she scoops Ko up and places her on her shoulder. Scooping Boris up in her hands now after cleaning up the mess he made. Taking the bowl and Boris she starts to walk out the door before turning around to say "It won't happen again..." walking out now closing the door. She realized right then that she had forgotten her coffee on the table... Deciding that she would get it when Gaius came down she walks downstairs.

Setting Ko and Boris down on the floor now leaving him to eat the rest of his food. Freya sits at the table feeling a bit stupid at the gesture. She knew now that it was a bad idea... She looks at the time as it was rolling around 6:30. Receiving a message from Setsuna, she smiles a bit. She was glad that she was able to work with the team without losing her mind. She had Freyd to thank for that, she knew that she needed to get Simmone by herself to talk but that would come in time... After that day too she hoped that Gaius didn't think she was crazy... This probably didn't help. She sat there in her own head waiting...

The first on the scene, she began to eyeball the sands from some of the mason work tile buildings. They were huts made of mud since dried, like Aztec cots, shaped square and a rather plain tan. The roof was hot to the touch, which was expected. The flat surface was always in a direct shot of the sun, and as a result, so was Setsuna on this perch. She was already getting irritable from the heat, the girl hated it. There wasn't much to see, just large rolling hills of sand a few poles of wood topped with red flags. Placed surely in case of a sandstorm for travelers to use as a guide back to the city. Setsuna hops down and slinks into the shade, slightly unsheathing her blade to allow its cold edge to act as an air conditioner. Another use of the tool, albeit one used in moderation.

"Yeah maybe, when I ain't sleeping in a shoebox. Boris is kind of an animal, and leaves shit everywhere when he eats. I get the thought, and thanks but this shit don't really work in here." Gaius slides off his bed still in skivvies as he reaches down for a pair of pants. A slight bit of the tea still in his other hand manages off the rim and onto the floor. Ko was all about that, taking to the newly formed puddle and beginning to lap up the sugared drink. The familiar would be hyper as crap for the hours to come, the metabolism of a gerbil. Gaius dons a pair of pants tossing his shirt over his right shoulder, and shaking his head once he notices a left cup of joe. Using a claw like hand, he rings the thing and begins to waddle his ass through the entry trying not to spill anything as Boris barrels through the open door. What a morning.

Arriving at the sands, although the meet up was still a ways off. He taps his hand to his forehead to cast some shade, the light was blinding off the granular hills. A spin of his hammer in his right, a nervous habit when he was waiting. Griswold finds the water trough and parks his ass removing a helmet from his head. The man was accustom to heat, but he wasn't about to sit here for a while in metal armor and be baked alive. With a twist of his head as he notices Setsuna, it appeared the girl was going along with them again. She still reminded him so much of Anna, although once she started to talk it was obvious she wasn't. The face, the stature that was almost a perfect reflection. The hair was damn close, just not quite as blonde. The thought made Griswold realize and question, why the hell was all of his kids blonde when he wasn't?

Rolling her eyes watching Ko now run around the shop now she tackles Boris. What the hell was in that tea... Glancing at Gaius she smiles. Taking her coffee with a nod she says "Let's head out." The moment she opens the front door Ko goes speeding out. Somehow Ko being hyper causes Boris to get excited too. Freya looks to Ko saying "Who says you guys are coming. Both of you are small and could get lost at any time or blown away." Ko stops as she suddenly turns to her huge form and picks Boris up in her mouth like a mother carrying her baby and looks at Freya with pleading eyes. Freya glances at Gaius as he shrugs. "Fine but you get to watch Boris," Freya turns and starts walking as Gaius locks up the shop. 

Walking together now she takes Gaius's hand in hers. Even though it was a rough morning she knew that making that slight contact would always make her feel at ease. Releasing his hand with a smile she heads through the warp gate saying "Floor 5" as Ko hops on with Boris in her mouth and vanishes. "Hey guys," she says as she walks to the quest board and takes a quest that hasn't been done yet. Sharing and inviting everyone to the party she scans her map as the heat held against her skin. "A land Shark I guess this time," she says as she starts walking toward the marker. Ko walks up to Vulcan with Boris in her mouth giving a muffled meow toward him.

A mill from the dark as more began to become visible, it appeared as though Gaius would be along for the ride as well as Griswold. It suited her fine, the smith was more than capable of reigning in the idiot's strange notions and actions. A collection of familiar in a pile like a party of their own, apparently they were starting a zoo as well. Hopefully, there was some reason for bringing them along. Other than as a comfort animal. An odd choice shoving your animal into a place where they were the most likely to come to harm. Accepting the invite shortly after its sent by the blonde girl, Freya was becoming more driven. She'd come quite some way since Let there be light. She was still filled with this aura of trying to please everyone, Setsuna couldn't help but sense the fear of angering someone on the girl. Perhaps it was something left from the real world, quite the please everyone sort.

Keeping in tow with Freya, allowing Ko to bring Boris along as long as she kept an eye on him. He was the most likely to blow away in this storm. Gaius remembered Butcher of the Sands, that sandstorm did not inspire confidence to something so small. A peel of the veil rips his glaive from the air, a green flash as it becomes solid. "Alright so a shark, didn't we kill one of those already? Should be a piece of cake." He bit his tongue on the last bit. "But we will take it slow, dunno if it's got any weird tricks or something." Backpedal complete. Accepting the party invite as it's fired off from Freya, a nod to the old man as he appeared complacent. It didn't seem like Griswold was aiming to punch him today, so it was better than usual. A ripe breakfast in his belly, a cat holding some luggage, and a group of steamrolling high level players. What's not to love?

A few triggers of the gate as Setsuna moves closer, Griswold rises from his seat. "right on queue, so we doin' this thing?" Griswold drops the bucket like piece over his head, concealing his face and improving his armor back to its normal rating. Freya offers them all an invite as she peruses the quest board, Griswold rolls his shoulders to get the lead out. "Shark, got it." As he makes for the gate before taking a doubletake. Where had Setsuna fled off to? It was normal for the girl to play predator and not be in direct line of sight. But how the hell was she hiding in a desert with virtually no incline or trees to hide in. It made him shutter, if she could hide here where could she not? Through the wooden gates that acted as a barrier of the settlement to the main birth of the floor, nothing but sand stares back at him.

Land Shark's Skill Activates << Move Swiftly >> (-1 ACC to Party, Concentration Deactivated)

Walking a while with her teammates as the sun blares in her eyes and the heat almost burns against her skin. She didn't have full covering armor as most people did. She knew her damage made up for what she couldn't block and that's if they could hit her through the tank or her evasion skill. She rather enjoyed the build and skills she has chosen so far. In the distance, something catches her attention. It was rather small from where she stood but she decides to use the distance to her advantage. Looking to Ko saying "Let's do what we practiced, K" Ko sets Boris down. He tries to run away but Ko puts a paw up causing Boris to run into it instead as he falls on his back.

Freya takes her weapon out now and as Ko focuses on her and the weapon, all three glow green and in the same moment flash gold. Ko jumps back now and spits what looks like a small ball of fire at the weapon. Freya knew right then that it was time as her weapon stays heated, she runs at the distant target as it grew bigger in size upon closing that distance. Trying to swing at this creature that had a mouth of a shark but had all for limbs standing upright, darts out of the way causing Freya to miss her art. "Well so much for that," Freya jumps back with a slide at the 2 stares each other down. If anything she was a distraction... for now... After Ko sees that she did what was asked of her she picks Boris back up into her mouth.

Setsuna flickers into reality with a sudden dispersal of a cold like fog, a new trick becoming more refined by the day. Using those mists to refract light, blend as some animals would. Makes one appear as if they were not there at all. Setsuna snaps "You want to play your tricks then you refine them before you bring them here. This is no place to be toying with a new prospect. Save it, and use what you are confident in." A blinding flash as she tears at almost subsonic speeds through her prey, a jagged line painted through the air before it cascades and draws a tear through her target. "This is not the time for games." A click of her weapon shut makes a massive plummet of the shark's HP, a tried and true attack that was sure to land. Not some flight of fancy on a whim that would not. The girl after bluntly scorning Freya for her gambit, flickers and fizzles before fading away.

[Gaius 0]

Gaius shutters as the ground begin to rumble, a faint wind of his own design beginning to encircle him. It causes a scatter of sand as he vaults airborne and it pulses outward in a ring from the point of his polearm. A one trick pony but it did the job. Gaius was eying the creature carefully looking for that opportune moment to drop on it like a meteorite. It would be on the rest of the party to keep it at bay until then, questioning if the damn thing would last that long. They were becoming quite powerful in their own right. Meaning Freya and Griswold. Setsuna, however, didn't have a fucking clue to how strong the girl really was. The humming charge of his glaive as it was charging gaining the first tier of magnification as he was held aloft by that gale he was producing listing softly.

[Griswold 0]

Griswold tears ass between the girls and the massive creature, watching its mouth begin to open. "Get the hell out of here." Griswold barks at them as Setsuna disappears. He raises his shield right before slamming his hammer against it and forcing it to kindle with amber flames. The boss takes notice and with an almost inhuman speed clams down on the tank. Pushing back with a massive frame, peeling apart a jaw as the very fire on his body begins to bleed off and scorch the inside. Singed gums and billowing steam, Griswold pries it loose and shoves it back sustaining some fair damage even through his armor. But he had held strong, he had the damn things attention now, and he sure as shit wasn't going to end this without a fight. A spin of his shoulders, a pull of his shield back against his left as he dropped low the blacksmithing mallet in his right he glares it down watching its every move.

A slight glare toward Setsuna, "Game...You think I am fucking around? That couldn't be further from the truth," she begins to speak as the large jaw carves into Griswold's arm. Being pushed back her blood begins to boil from both the accusations and that walking Shark. Freya's weapon burns beneath her grip and glows bright red. Freya darts at the creature carving her Scythe deep within its stomach. Leaving the wounds open with an explosion upon impact. Data pours out of the wound as its health plummets to almost nothing. A sharp glance to Setsuna "I have been through enough shit in this hell to know just how much of NOT a game this is. I am here to get stronger and KO is here to make me stronger. If you can't handle me trying to improvise with shit that I have full access to then you don't have to be here," Freya barks toward her angrily. "Regardless if you think it or not I will always give my best and I refuse to put the others in danger by doing so." Freya shifts her position as the creature falls to one knee.

A blink behind the opponent, a kneel down and a click of her steel as an answer to Freya without words. A drawn line with a metallic tear, the shark stops dead. A shutter before a red line begins to grow and it falls into two chunks. "You say this, but even still you prove it. The fact that it bothers. You prove my words correct. You took a chance when there need not be. You overextend yourself and just forced Griswold to protect you." Sliding her saya back into the cloth sash on her hip. "Don't be ignorant, Improvise when your enemy isn't staring down you and everyone else. You want to risk your neck then you do it without putting others in harm's way. If you want to be an animal, then show me what you have." Setsuna adjusts the mask on the front of her face.

"I can put down an animal." she leans low with a shift of her feet, a hovered hand over her katana should Freya wish to take that bait and prove she was one.

Freya watches Setsuna cut the creature clean in half. The words she said had an impact. Placing her Scythe tip on the ground as she listened carefully to every word given.

You overextend yourself and just forced Griswold to protect you

Biting her bottom lip taking a deep breath. Griswold would have done that anyway for any one of them but to what extent?

Something as dangerous as this could have been, Freya took a huge risk by testing what Ko and her could do. She wasn't thinking and her mind goes back to what Raidou had told her. It was very similar. She looks to the ground now. She didn't do a whole lot of practicing with Ko before bringing her along and that was a risk in itself. She knew that Ko wasn't ready but allowed it anyway and by doing so she wasn't focused enough. She glances at Setsuna as she gets herself positioned in such a way that looked like she was ready for a battle. She didn't want to be an animal, uncontrollable and an unknown factor in battle. It wasn't what she wanted to turn into. She didn't want to let her emotion control her either as Chase did...

"Setsuna I am not going to attack you. It would be highly pointless and a very long way from what Eruda and Raidou would have wanted. I will work with Ko so this never happens again. You have given me a lot to think about so thank you." She says this in a much calmer voice now. Freya turns to Griswold and gives him a hug saying "Thank you for being here. I don't know what I would do without you in my life." After a moment she releases from the hug and walks to Ko and Boris. "Let's get Boris home, we have some work to do..." Gaius would eventually come down from the mini storm he created and realize they went back home. She opens her HUD and tells him just that in a message. With a chime, it was sent as she walked back with the two familiars to get them to safety. No Risk... 

[Setsuna 0]

A shuffle of her feet back to neutral, allowing her risen right hand to move to her mouth and remove the piece of cloth that concealed her name as well as her appearance. "Then you understand. There are places to do this testing." Setsuna removes a single vial from inside the folds around her neck. She then removes the top of the vial, pouring out what looked like water in crystal blue. A small orb of red, as Setsuna draws her katana from its scabbard.

A slide of her hand forces the thing to freeze solid and lower the temperature of her blade. "The very same thing, I could have used this. I would have stronger if I had. But it is not tested. Like you, I have skills that I would like to exploit, But there is a place to refine it." She begins to sheathe the blade, a slight little flicker of frost as it rubbed the inside of the say falls. "Think hard at what Eruda or Raidou would want, in many ways, they are your superior. They are not willing to put your life on the line for a new trick. Pay that to those in their absence." She offers the familiar its jar, storing it away after the show and tell was over. A proof that she understood what it was Freya was trying.
