She was born as the eldest of her siblings, and because both of her parents worked full time, she was the one who had been left to raise her younger siblings alone. Demetria had learned over the years how to balance school work and childcare simultaneously and with ease. When she was fifteen, her parents were able to finally start helping with the care of her little siblings, but, that didn't stop Demetria's siblings from coming to her for advice or comfort. It was just built in by that time. It wasn't until Demetria turned sixteen that she started to venture into the world of gaming. She started with MMORPGs and there was a singular class that she always fell in love with, a tank. She liked being the one who protected her party, making sure that they didn't take the damage that was being thrown at them. To her, this role felt natural, since she was the protector for her siblings, and her maternal nature seemed to transfer to this as well. By the time that she graduated from high school, she had to find something to do with her life, so she applied to go to medical school. Sure, it wasn't something that was a protector role, but she didn't mind that. She was still able to help, which was something else that she liked to do. When SAO was announced, she was possibly one of the first to sign up for the beta. She didn't get to join that, but when the game announced a release date, she was in line way before the opening at her nearest seller. Because of that strategy, she was able to get the nerve gear to play the game. She expected this to be just a basic virtual reality MMORPG to have fun in, and she chose her weapon and class. But, once the announcement came, she felt defeated, because she wasn't able to get out of the game. She was slow at the in take on leveling up, more concerned with just helping around the Town of Beginnings. But now, now she wants to fight and get out of the game, because she is missing her family, and wants to see them again.  THE STORY SO FAR Spoiler TBD VIRTUES&FLAWS Spoiler Virtues Multitasker: She's not one to just focus on a single task at a time. Her brain works in a way that makes it easier for her to be able to focus on working on multiple things at once. Because of this, things might go a little slower on getting done, but she is able to do more than just one thing at a time. Her multitasking nature only seems to be used outside of combat, unless she needs to focus on multiple enemies at once. Maternal: She is the kind of person who is going to put everything down that she might be currently doing so that she can help someone in need. But, when she hears or sees someone in danger, she doesn't care who or what they are, she is going to put her life on the line for them. When she sees a lone child, she will instantly kick in her mother mode, and she will comfort them while they find the child's real parents. But when she sees someone who is down or needs a shoulder to lean on, she'll be there to do that as well. Bookworm: Reading is a passion of hers, it has always been something that seems to help keep her calm. Even in the game, she has found a way to find things to read, even if she's already read them. She just likes to be able to go into the fantasy or reality of that book, instead of staying in her own current reality that could be going horribly. Because of this, she tends to be seen reading a random book, if she can find one, when she isn't doing anything. Flaws Overprotective: Once she places her trust into someone, she is going to be protective of them. Now, her protectiveness can be considered overprotective, because she will find a way to slide herself into someone's plans just to be able to help them or keep them safe. While this might be annoying to others, to Demetria, she finds it to be natural and normal, because it's something that she has been doing for years. So, it came to be no surprise to herself when this flaw transferred to being in games. Forgetful: Just because she is a multitasker at heart, doesn't mean that she remembers everything that she is supposed to be doing. There will be some things that slip through the cracks of her memory, mainly the smaller details that her brain likes to say don't matter, at least, until they do, and she just can't remember the details. Because of this forgetfulness, she can, and will, write notes down just so that she can remember things, when she has the time to write these notes at least. Busy-Body: She doesn't like to normally sit still and do nothing. She either has to be helping someone, working, or reading. Just things and activities that can keep her mind from straying to the thoughts of how she is alone and doesn't have those whom she loves with her. While she likes to be constantly doing something, she can be a bit forgetful on making sure that she slows down and gets some sleep, so yes, she does have an alarm set in game to remind herself that sleep is good.
