[PP-PT-F8] Where the Red Burn Glows (Monkey King)

A step into the forest in the thickened canopy of lush green, the very same he'd traveled quite a bit in his time. A glance through where it grows more dense, darker and paints black in shadow. A slide between with a rustle of the brush into where he assumed that titanic behemoth would lay in waiting. That large ape that hid within it and a bumbling mass, Raidou pushed his lenses up as his eyes begin to glow. Watching and waiting for when this thing would find that the swordsman in red had entered its domain. A check of his stats with a slide of his screen sees a heavy huff and a bit of rustling trees. "I'm waiting." Raidou quips rather loosely without concern. It was clear that Raidou wouldn't be disuade as he removes his blade slow to a slight flash of light that creates a small gleam that causes it to light around them.

Like a cataclysmic crash, a large spire of wood is lobbed into the forefront of battle. A single cleave from the swordsman as that violent white light cleaves the piece in twain, sending a shower of fragmented bark like toothpicks in a spray behind him. A single yellow ark that crackles on the wind begins to fade, an afterimage still passing like smoke. Behind its glow a fixated and determined pair of eyes. Glad that he held conversations with the NPC that wished to accompany him, not wishing to bring along the baggage for they could hardly keep up. He was a max level player, and the extra body that was untrained would only work to slow him. More variables that he could not control would be unwelcomed in any regard. Method, calculation. These things left when it was more then just him or able bodied patrons who had the cognisant thought that would prove useful. NPC were human like, but missed that fatal neccessity.

No Remington and Sewallus would have their kill, but Raidou would walk this path in isolation.

The electric pulse still locked to his weapon in a cackling mad discharge, Raidou without a word lunges and plunges his blade through the whimpering beast. Like a heavy stone it begins to fall. Raidou continues with a spin tearing a ribcage open to a precise and yet gruesome divide in red light washed in static and yellow. The sparks dance through the air and find purchase in the soil below in forks. A beast felled with no resistance and there would be none. The nomad was all but efficient, a world had tempered him to a fine edge. Quests and journeys to this ripe end, where all he could hope to improve is learning from his peers. These creatures offered little resistance for him now, and it offered some taste of hope. He stood a chance, and if he did then so did others. "Fitting and clean." Raidou quips with a spin of his steel and a right of it into its scabbard. It was time to see what else had been changed by this exchange they all held with Shadow.

A weapon sheathed and a soft exchange with an almost dumbstruck pair of men. Remington and Sewallus didn't even know how to respond at the rate the beast had been dispatched. Even still that the wanderer had done it alone, without concern or worry. Through the forest alone, leaving slack the slack jawed NPC behind to believe it or not. Raidou didn't care, he had done his part and there were so many more moving pieces to settle into place. Everything had a purpose, a time and when they needed attention. Those boys had lost theirs the moment the beast had fell and the nomad wouldn't squander another second. A book in one hand, drawing lines and information to the pad. One after another, landmarks and notes they are recorded. Not for he but those that would read it, like others in the guild he was no stranger to danger. Or hard work.

Through the floor a subtle orange glow, a kindling and a horror. A tide of ash from burned brush scorched by some feigned event that to which the wanderer was not aware. But it was different, and it was something honestly troubling for him. Such destruction wrought oh so much more then the eyesore. It brought a decrease in capability, a damage of a lifeline and vein to which others like him could flourish. A twinkle of a gold glow on the edge of his fingers before its interrupted by some small animals barring fangs in that same embers.

"You must be the culprits." Raidou began a slight twist of his head, removing his lenses as they began to circle. "Then I must solve the problem." pushing them to his brow. Another pulse of that same energy, that lingering lightning from FTK even still coarses through Auric Sunlight. The strike against the floor like a clap of thunder sends them realing and scattering like shrapnel. There would be a reckoning.

Like a whirlwind, a few scampering paws aimed to stand and found only the edge of Auric Sunlight still singing. A burning blade tears through the remaining of the opposition at blinding speeds matched with an equally blinding flash. The sound comes after in that same boom of thunder, followed by the chaining pops of aggression that ring in a chorus. A spinning dial and a transition from conflict to silence in a matter of moments. But that anthem seemed to stem more from the woodwork, climbing and pawing its way free with almost reckless abandon. Raidou had stumbled onto these things nest and it was clear that none of them enjoyed his presence. A home stolen and scorched in an unmeasureable lead like pastel. The wanderer wished to restore this place, and they wanted to keep it as it was. They were at ends. The question was, was his spirit enough to crush something that would not stop?

Another blow that recoils out like a missile being discharged at point blank, a blur of red sliding into the conflict in nothing more than a subtle blink in speed. The creatures are simply removed from their feet as before, the huge laceration cutting most of their respective HP away in a flash. The ringing of bars quickly plummeting into the red, as the very bodies grind and slide against the earth. Bright orange fur racked with filth as they come to a halt. A spin of his weapon in preperation for defense. But nothing remained up to make a rebuttal. Instead they languish and simply attempt to stand still riddled with that same electricity. Raidou lifts his hand to his nose, pushing those lenses up close to his brow. It was easy, but given the floor it wasn't quite anything that shouldn't be expected for him to make a mess of.

After all he did just come from a raid on something three times its difficulty. Even still, the kill will prove useful on multiple fronts and he knew it. Dropping the guard and shifting back to offense, a drawn line scratched into the floor leaves a column of light in his wake. A total erasure of resistance before it could even be formed. A scream of prompts flood his message box, the system alerting him to the demise and paying him accordingly. Eight down, and even still more were on the horizon. They wouldn't forfeit, and it was clear that the nomad had his work cut out for him. These new additions to the floor were just as foolhardy as any other mob. The NPC have learned and grown into something much more human, but not these. They were still rabid and idiotic in their persuits, a complete disregard for their own safety.

This is where the game always lacked, an A.I. that didn't understand fear or when they held no chance of success. Raidou was taking it all for himself. As this new group formed they were quickly slammed with that same power, Raidou making note of the energy he still had left in that small green bar beneath the larger. He was using less, but even still it was still draining dropping the hammer like this. A quick run of the numbers draws he must have about one more wave until he needs a breather. But he could make a swap, and that would be ideal. A swap of his lenses, he knew that a different pair would serve better in this instance. A slight shift in his kit and attributes would prove more resistant and frugal on his drain at the same time. But first he needed the time to do so.

Breaking from the pack and an attempt at subtle concealment, give his bar time to recover and time to change pieces. That was ideal. They would have to come to him if they wished. As foolish as they were, that predetermined aggro making them give chase despite being so compromised. One after another they are destroyed in a wave of his blade spinning in battering swings. A spin of his steel and a soft phrase. "That should buy me a moment." Raidou quips and begins to fiddle with his inventory quickly, trying to get it handled before more would show up. A rapid slide of his keys in a quick pecking through his inventory finds what it was he sought within it. A blue light in his robe pocket, as he reaches to the glasses on his nose and removes them. Revealing a pair of glowing orange eyes like lanterns.

(OOC: I Forgot the Overhealth, but it hasn't been relevant), Relaxed [1/2]

The concentration skill even still playing its part to keep his eyes illuminated and focused. Like his mind, always striving for whatever goal it had those shielded by glass were a dead giveaway on his intentions. A slide of them into his pocket and peel of a slightly different shaded pair out, placed to his nose and pushed up. They trigger as they conceal his eyes from view, pushing that glow behind the film as per usual. A soft inhale as he could hear the huffing and sniffing just outside of his vision. They were still on the hunt for the perpetrator into their domain, but Raidou would wait for his stamina to recover before engaging again. That was the ideal way to attack this problem and he was no fool. Keeping his back pressed against a burned out and scorched tree's base, that smell would become trapped in the fibers of his robe like all others.

A moment of pause as he began to stable and troubled breath. It was intentional, it forced the system to start to kick his resources into recharging. Thats what he needed to get things moving, and through his attachment to that spire he spots something beneath the rough. A plant trappled and buried but even still it was growing. Kneeling low and dusting it off, removing the ash and taking a gander at it. The thing was still desperately clinging to life, one of those dark grey types that were a bit more of the harty varity. A solid snap sees it freed and slid into a bag, it was mature enough to take. There was more still pushing itself through the soot which was good to see. The sound however alerts his pursers to his presence and he could hear them coming. It looked as though his breather was over, and his eyes advance to the bar as it was rapidly climbing to full.

A quick tear of that reaping tool out of its scabbard to that same flash of energy, the thing was still charged up and with a weapon like a hot knife through butter. They move in for the kill and are instead blindsided by a single swipe that scars the air in a violent cleave. It leaves a wake of static beneath the floor before a column of lightning strikes from above. He was expecting at least some resistance, but somewhere that strength was so overwhelming that the beasts couldn't hope to stand against it. Another high pitched whine that rakes down the length of his steel to the point and back. A sound like chirping, before the discharge that rings like a car crash. A shattering blast creates a pulsing detonation from all the destroyed opponents being slain. That same flood of resources being added, but the nomad in red wasn't paying it any mind. He couldn't because to the same vain there was more and more of these things being risen out of the woodwork like corpses. The chatter and chitter of more and more of them as they gazed upon him. Raidou rips the blades edge near his left eye and allows the light to ripen down its length again. "Come at me, you'll find I am very persistant."

Another pulse as Raidou lunges, the force creating a cloud behind him as a slew of skills trigger on his command. A solid tear in a horizontal sweep sees the group flung apart and divided to crashes and bangs. One slams heavy into a large spire of that same charcoal and shattered. The debris rains down with the body, Raidou leaps and backhands one sending scattering off into the distance. Finding something solid with a harsh thud. The throws of combat were just as heated, but the nomads endurance was holding significantly better now. He'd force them to retreat rather easily at this rate. It was just a question once the A.I. would realize they had no hope of winning this little exchange. Raidou would reclaim this ground for the plant life they had scorched and burned to cinders. In the same right, he'd make a mental note to secure it on the regular, their fates had been sealed by nothing more then a simple passage through.

To the rising tide of almost expired mobs, Raidou makes short work of that which remained. A lift of Auric Sunlight and a drop of it like a hammer into the earth sees a shattering fork of electricity spiraling out in yellow light. It bursts clean holes through his opposition causing them to fumble. Shattering like glass and taking on the wind like ethereal ash in bluish hue that disperses. To be reclaimed by the cardinal system and returned to a spawn pool. Raidou was an almost calm and collected but ruthless entity on this field. There was no words only the silence that came after, a few more steps into the forest turned ash, and an honest search for more of these creatures. He'd wipe them out, until enough of the place could begin to grow again. He knew this was a fools errand, but he didn't care. He wanted this place back the way it was before their existance.

This attack on their kind, this attempt at extinction was more for himself than anything else. He would not accept how things just became, or are meant to be. No matter how many the system replenished he'd cut them down. Surely there was some limiter on them to prevent a player from farming them endlessly and that was what he was counting on. If they stopped spawning he would be free to work on the earth and attempt to start to rebuild it. Raidou knew he would have his work cut out for him, these things were more durable and more in number then Byakko. The flame hound from a lower floor that he already frequented and slaughtered on the regular. A rather strange chore that others would consider useless. But it wasn't to him, and neither was this. Keeping his blade drawn and ready at his side sees another flash of light moments after he clears some of the charred canopy.

The carcasses rain out from the place, it was clear that Raidou had found more. They wimper in the rough, twisting feet trying to find a foothold to stand. This is before what little health they had left had caught up, dropping to zero. It would be almost gruesome to those that would look on, hearing the things crying before their untimely demise. Another right of his steel as he pushed deeper, making a combing circle with the path he traveled, searching and sussing out the missing creatures that he so desperately sought to erase. He'd cull the heard down to the bottom number, give this place the best fighting chance to which he could spark life into. The beauty of his gathering skill is its almost natural hold of flora. Raidou was curious if it would have any effect, but it did somewhat in Byakko's home turf. Leaving but a single sproutling that started to take root and spread, he'd protect it.

Another wave, and another outcry of an impact. Raidou's energy plummets another fair portion in an instant. This was demanding as always, but Raidou was stable through it. Still near half of his energy remained and the act of finding more to use it against was beginning to dwindle. Hung in the air was that same quiet that was being broken with the sounds of his swings, followed by the wimpers of the beasts he had made contact with. The array of status effects from the lingering levin that still scattered in the air left the opposition in a pile beneath his feet. Without concern or compassion, nothing more than a deadpan style placid demeanor Raidou rips his blade up again and lets it pump with that same fuel. That same overwhelming power that has been tempered through time. A high pitch whir in a magnificant glow of gold flare.

A slide of his blade off to one side sees a burning line scattering through the floor and explode in a blast of light, leaving nothing behind in its wake. A small ring left in the floor from where the energy had disappated but nothing more. The creatures were all but gone, leaving nothing more then the gains from their hides and the now empty area where they once stood. Raidou adjusts the lenses on the bridge of his nose and breathes out softly. His attentions shift to his hearing, allowing searching to play its part. Even such small frames would be easy to pick up with the rank of it, and they'd never slip into his proximity before he was aware. Nothing, it seemed that he had a moments respite but not one he sought. A quick glance up to his HUD shows he was still sitting rather comfortably on energy, and as such his feet begin to move.

"Yip, Yip." and there it was, more of these little bastards that had so torn apart this place that was once lush and green. A gruesome slice sees the unknowing monsters flung in all directions like being fired from a catapult. They bounce and slide, drag and grind against the turf sending tufts of the stuff in a spray toward the sky. Raidou had put them to the hammer with no remorse in this culling. There wasn't no pause and seemed almost without reason to any looking on. But he was trying to cut them apart. A layer of corpses still barely kicking, small cursors and flickering health bars in a deep crimson that flashed as it plummets smaller and smaller. These poor things were just a victim of the system like all others, and Raidou had to make a choice. They however would not be a benefit to his kind like the location would be, and that choice was easy.
