His stance shifts forward just ever so slightly before he seems to just vanish. A sudden burning ark through the air slices fixtures and foes alike in its scorching ring. It carves like butter through the creatures that were foolish enough to attempt to sneak up on the red clad swordsman. Detonating one after another like chained explosives meant to level a building, pops in sequence and matched with a spray of data fractals that spread like ash. The flare on the edge of his blade begins to fade, as numerous prompts flood his HUD one after another. Gains, given when all he wished was for a moment to peruse this place in peace. A wind of that blade, sees it returned to the sheath awaiting its arrival behind his right shoulder just beneath the crimson red robe. It vanishes inside until he'd need it next, and from the swing of things that was likely to be sooner than later. That same ringing of his heels as they clattered on the stone beneath his feet, isolated and echoing from a world that he was following the veins. Beneath the ever ignorant masses that knew not the pure danger that lingered just beneath them. Into the maw of hell alone, Raidou would carve his way to some semblance of an answer. It winds and bends, twists and curves in a way that seemed almost designed to get one turned around and lost. But thankfully, the man was a traveler keen on knowing and learning where it was he had been. If not, he would have likely been long-lost before now, given his tendency to wander down any road that his feet would carry him. Red velvet adorned the top, tattered and worn with age. Various regal looking dishes left tarnished to time, food upon it still and rotten. A ballroom. Above hung a single gilded and gaudy chandelier with candles no longer lit, and directly across from him a single throne without a body. Absent and empty, as was the rest of this insistent labyrinth. His eyes shift left and right, looking for some other exit, but there was none to be had. The red wanderer begins to breach the chamber, foot fall after footfall that echoes in a way that's magnified by its birth. It was as if it was magnified by the size. A harsh inhale, as bits of shadow begin to coalesce from crags. Darkened shapes twist and bleed through the air, and with it a slight chill. "What brings you here, have you been forgotten?" a voice with no origin, a female one. Instinctually, Raidou reaches for his blade, and unsheathes it without pause. A single pillar of black ice appears from the floor, almost purple in its color. Within it, a reflection that looked like a player staring back at him. He hesitates. Stepping forward and placing a hand to the black sheen, it begins to fragment. Busting from it like a cocoon, the player like thing pops free, looking to him with a weapon drawn. "Wait!?" Raidou recoils and blocks the blow, as more of these pillars begin to take shape. "Please, die without pain." As these things barrel down on him, unsure of what it was he faced, he was forced to retaliate with a detonation mixed with remorse. The sounds of lightning fill the chamber and send them scattering. Raidou quickly rushes the room with his eyes, looking for the body to match the tones. All he manages to catch, within that ice. A woman with some strange silver like dress, bright blue eyes and long white hair. It could have almost been Setsuna but older. Although confused beyond reason, he couldn't afford to hesitate and another magnitude of static riddles the lightning rod in his clutches. The yellow steel vibrates violently, forks of electricity jumping and finding objects to discharge into. A cup, a platter, the quickest targets to the floor to empty as Raidou shifts low. A wild and yet precise swing, as he becomes a blur. Slamming the edge against awaiting metal, the lightning jumping and scattering from one target to the next in bounds. It outcries in the connection, the very fibers in his arms feeling that left over power exiting in a way that makes his hair stand on end. Smoldered and charred, the silhouettes fall and shatter. Left behind was nothing akin to a player. No items, but they were nigh indistinguishable from the real things. A murmur from one, face first, as its life slowly drained into an exit. "Thank you." before it bursts into data. A mirrored paired of lenses twist and shield eyes that well with remorse, and questions. A glance about a now empty room, left alone in an echoing hall in isolation. To his own devices and more perplexed than when he first traversed these halls. Instead of finding anything to go on, all he was met with was further confusion. His eyes advance to a lingering stamina pool, and a clock showing that the better part of a day had been wasted with nothing to show for it. "What is it that I have found?" Raidou asked the silence, hoping that just maybe it would give him an answer. His mind was a buzz with conjecture. Hours spent, and he finds an exit, filled with something that he'd yet to wrap his mind around. This was a problem with no discernible solution. It beckoned further study.
