Turing around with a grin, Katoka eyed Freyd as he emerged from the darkness nearby. She arched a brow as he complimented her, her posture relaxed a bit when he assured her another prank wasn't in the works. Watching as he reached into the inky black and pulling out a wrapped weapon the samurai felt her eyes widen in surprise. She could almost feel the energy in the air, the electricity that emanated from it reaching out to her. Kat stepped forward and gave her friend a bow as well before reaching out to unwrap the cloth from the katana.

It was exquisitely made, this she was sure of. As she removed it from the Whisper's hands she could feel the perfect weight of it. A familiar brand was pressed in the pommel that she recognized as Griswold's handiwork, she would have to thank him if she ever got to run into him again. "Freyd I--I don't know what to say." she was, as she had just mentioned, at a loss for words. Quickly she unequipped her current weapon and added Freyd's gift to her weapon slot, reading the name as she did, "Raijin's Corruption."

The blonde then set herself into one of her stances, quickly drawing her new blade. Sparks of electricity arc from the metal and dance about her, turning the small woman into what seemed like a plasma ball. The crackle and snap of energy burned the ozone around them, giving off the same sent as freshly struck lighting. Katoka flicked her blade to the side as if to shed any blood from it's surface before she returned it to it's home. A smile spread across her face as she looked to Freyd once more. "I think this will do quite nicely. Thank you Freyd, from the bottom of my heart." she bowed to him once more, this time truly as The Cerulean Storm.

Foes that are unlucky enough have been cut by it's edge are paralyzed by the infectious disease caused by the tainted blade. The saya that contains the putrid weapon is a specially treated bamboo, dipped into water blessed by monks to make sure its power is contained within. The saya is wrapped and painted a dark purple, nearly black to the naked eye. The tsuka is wrapped in a similarly dark purple cloth, a blackened metal tsuba separates the blade from the handle.
