Astreya 0 Posted December 30, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2021 From the outside, the storefront itself looks fairly hastily cobbled together, and a wooden sign sat out front with a fresh coat of paint to indicate the fact that it was brand new. "A New Voice - Now Open!" Within, there were a few odds and ends that didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense given that it was supposed to be a Performer's Shop. The several instruments nearby did seem to make sense, but there was also a few places set off to the side, four chessboards with a small sign next to them that stated "I'll be black pieces, feel free to go first!" The interior seemed to have that sort of 'chess' theme throughout, with most of the decor being black with white accents or vice versa. While most of the tiled floor was black and white, a set of red tiles from the entrance showing the path of movement for a Queen piece, with one of the paths leading right to the front counter. The others led to the chessboards in the corner, while the diagonal parts led over to information about pricing, and the other to samples of the music. Of course, that wasn't to mind the occasional curse or sound of annoyance in the back from where the music was made as the owner worked to familiarize herself with all of these instruments she'd never played before! ----- Available Inventory: None yet! She wasn't exactly a talented musician in the real world, and that was coming back to haunt her now. In addition, given that she wasn't exactly 'good' at playing games either, that really put her in an awkward position of trying to do this. Granted, there wasn't a profession here that suited her real world talents at all (except for arguably adventuring) so she would just need to figure things out as she went. "Okay. "Dang, I'm not getting this to work right," she murmured, leaning forward to look over the materials again, trying to determine just where she'd gone wrong. It was hard to say- there were a lot of really small, exact things that needed to be done. She hadn't even managed to keep the second one from completely burning out and leaving nothing behind but a husk. "Maybe next time it'll work. The place seemed fitting for the younger girl, and as she glanced about she smiled, feeling a bit of Astreya in the very atmosphere of the shop. “Hey, Iris, if you’re not too busy I have a couple orders to place – no big rush on them!” Taking in the entire studio area – she was still fairly sure that’s what you called this sort of setup, she added, “This is a really nice place you’ve got going here…like super nice. She often took time for herself to do this to just kind of decompress, playing with a few different games and strategies to keep her mind sharp and focused... so when Nari had come in, the girl hadn't even been working on her music.
