Background:

Born to a well-off family, Tobi had a relatively normal life. His parents cared about him and gave him anything he asked if it was within their abilities to get it. He had a closer relationship with his father but he loved his parents equally. But their happy home life was just a mere facade. His mother caught his father cheating on her with another woman. His mother didn’t divorce with his father because she wanted Tobi to have a father. But their home life was constantly marred with arguments. These arguments caused his parents to ignore Tobi. Tobi contrived many ways to get their attention but all of them failed. He realized he couldn’t do anything about it so he started drift away from his parents.

He felt alone and didn’t have anyone to reach out too. That was until he discovered something: video games. The first ever video game he played was a MMO and he instantly fell in love with. To him, video games were a way to escape reality. Through video games, he was able to meet new people who had similar interests. When he was playing his favorite MMO, he saw some people talking SAO and NerveGear in the chat. He grew interested in it and he bought a NerveGear. His friend Miman also bought a NerveGear. When the game released, they both logged on and tried it out. At first, it was going fine until Tobi and his friend realized they couldn’t log out. Even after learning that he was trapped in a game, Arga was able to stay calm. But he was secretly happy because now he could escape reality for real.

Everything was going fine until Miman was killed when he was trying protect Tobi from a pack of monsters. Realizing that he could actually die, Tobi decided not to act carelessly and resolved to get out. 

 

Virtues

• Determined: If he is determined to do something, nothing will stop him from completing. No matter how much times he gets beat down, he will rise back up.
• Calm: He is able to stay calm even in situations where all hope is lost. He can also think rationally in dangerous situations. He was able to stay rational even though he learned that he was stuck in a game indefinitely. 
• Thoughtful: Tobi is very thoughtful of everyone. He will take time to form his opinions about something or someone and tries not to make generalizations. 

Flaws

• Emotional: No matter how calm and rational he may seem, there are times his emotions will control his actions. He might act irrationally if something bad happened (either to him or his friends). After all, he is just a human. 
• Stubborn:  He is headstrong and won’t listen to people who question his beliefs or goals. He refuses to compromise on any of his goals even if it hurts him. This makes him somewhat close-minded. 
• Reckless: Although he thinks before he acts, Tobi sometimes makes decisions without any thought. He wants to finish things as quickly as possible. These quick decisions mostly end up with him getting placed in danger.
