It had been early in the process, so he was hoping it was salvageable. The ingredients had not yet properly mixed, and were easy to remove from the mixture. Working feverishly, he begins the crafting process anew, mixing his last few materials together. His options are limited by ingredients, but he is not concerned about that. So again, he begins the process of salvaging his materials from the useless potion he has created. Unable to do so, he watches as its durability reaches 0, and vanishes. Going to work on the first, he starts to measure and weigh his ingredients. He realizes that even if it is a failure, he will manage to level up, and get a fourth craft for today. Happily, he continues his work. He needed this one to succeed, or he wouldn't have enough mats to make all his crafts the next day. He patiently and carefully removes the ingredients one by one. Fail! No mats salvaged.
