[SP-F1] Earning a Living Repeat - Complete

Meggido had heard a new quest had popped up on floor 1. Apparently the Little Nepet population was exploding in the nearby forest, and there was a hefty reward for lowering it. He needed those new crafting materials they were offering, and he could probably harvest some new ones from the plant type creatures as well. Happy to assist since it would benefit him, he heads out to the forest ready to begin the slaughter.

Little Nepets were weak, and probably there would be no Col drops from this quest attempt other then the completion reward. Still, he was going to enjoy this. At his level, with his weapon, he should be able to take most of them down in one or two shots. He knew he had to kill enough to lower their population considerably, which meant that the system was spawning more then normal.

In time, he came to the forest, and began his walk into it. His goal, kill as many as possible, collect ingredients from them, and collect the reward at the end. Seemed simple enough. Walking forward, he eventually spots the first large plant creature, and drawing his Crescent Moon curved blade, he charges forward at it. His blade cuts into it, slicing through half of its HP in the first attack. Meggido smirks, this quest was going to be simple.

Meggido continues his attack on this creature, using the momentum of his first attack to continue the assault. He brings the blade around, slicing through the air as it swings towards the plant monster. His attack misses sadly, and he is forced to dodge the vines of the creature as it attempts to counter attack.

Meggido wasn't deterred by this development, he knew he wouldn't land every attack. He brings the blade around again, as it sliced around back at the monster as it prepares its own assault. It slices through the monster, and Meggido watches as it explodes into nothingness.

Meggido brushes the dirt off of him and keeps walking. One down meant nothing in a massacre quest like this, and he had a lot of work to do. Finding the next plant creature, he jumps forward swinging his blade. His blade cuts through air, as he misses his target.

He jumps back, and then moves around the side of the monster. He continues his attacks, feinting attacks here and there as he prepares to move in. Finally seeing an opening, he lunges forward with his blade. It cuts through the side of the monster, bring its hp almost to nothing in a single attack.

Meggido goes in for the kill. Raising his sword he dodges several strikes from the creatures vines, becoming familiar with the attack patterns. They were level 1 monsters on floor 1, this was not a real threat to him unless they swarmed him and overwhelmed him. Striking out with his blade, he moves to finish the monster. His blade pierces through the monster, destroying it. Sadly, looking at the rewards, he got no material drops.

Meggido doesn't care about the lack of item drops. They were just bonuses, the real reward was the quest completion items he would get. He runs forward seeing the next plant monster, and moves in for the kill. Again, his initial attack misses, and a vine makes contact with him.

Meggido sees his own HP take a hit, and feels the thrill of battle unlike the others. The real danger was so exhilarating, the thought that this was life or death was driving him with new passion. He darts around dodging vine strikes, and moves in to strike at the enemy. His blade cuts into the monster, leaving it with almost no HP left.

Meggido moves in to finish the monster off. Each kill brought him closer to leveling up and completing this quest. He laughs as he swings his blade wide, watching the blade cut through the air as it rushes at his enemy. However, the attack misses, much to Meggidos surprise.

Meggido was not deterred by his miss. Each failure was an attempt to learn and increase his skill. He moves in, preparing to end this fight however, with only one hit point left his enemy was on the verge of death. If only it could show fear. His blade cuts through the monster repeatedly, ripping it to shreds.

Meggido nods as he sees the victory window. Moving forward he continues to hunt for the monsters. He spots a new one, and moves in for the kill. He lunges forward, stabbing out at the monster with murderous intent. His blade cuts down half of its hit points in the first attack.

Following through with his attack, he uses the momentum of his first swing to bring the blade back around, straight at the monster yet again. With lightning speed, his blade slices straight through the monster, and he turns to walk away even as the monster explodes behind him.

Meggido continues on deeper into the forest. He is quite content slaughtering through these mobs, since it will prevent others from fighting them to level up and risk stealing his quest reward. He moves on and eventually finds another. Moving in, he prepares to kill this one as well. He rushes forward, slashing through the plant monster, killing it in a single weapon strike.

Meggido laughed as he watched the most recent one die in a single attack. How amazing. He moves on, targeting the next monster, and rushes forward ready to engage it. His luck seemed to have run low however, as his attack missed.

Meggido was not deterred by this development, and moves on with his assault. Bring his blade up, he swings again at the monster. He slashes across the monster, depleting half of its hit points.

Meggido moves in for the kill. As much fun as a slaughter was, this quest was starting to bore him. fighting monsters that showed no fear, no emotions, there wasn't quite the thrill behind it he had been hoping for. His attack misses, and he finds himself forced to withdraw momentarily to preserve his own hit points.

After being forced back, he lunges forward. He plans on ending this fight, he wanted to put an end to this quest finally and get back to work. Slicing through the enemy, he finishes it off, although without any material drops.

Meggido swipes his hand down, opening his menu to check his quest. He needs to check how many more he has to kill in order to put an end to this infestation. He sighs, seeing it still says incomplete, and moves deeper into the forest trying to find more of the monsters. Maybe if he found a small group he would be able to end this faster.
