Still glowing from yesterday's successes and the teleportation crystal that now resided in his pocket, Calyx sat down for another day's worth of crafting. He pulled one of his remaining materials from the chest at his feet, and focused on reshaping the object to his will.

The second material began glowing in Calyx's hands, and Lockheed looked over, seeming mildly interested now. Calyx had actually produced some variation with his crafting over the past few days, rather than just the same old goo and exploding objects. Maybe something of actual combat worth would appear this time...

Calyx pulled the final crafting material of the day out of his small box and placed on the bench before him. Intent to make something else today, he closed his eyes and focused on the item he willed into existence.

As the glow of the object dimmed, a small red bottle stabilized and remained in Calyx's hands. "Gotcha.", he said to the bottle as he smiled and placed in in the chest with the others.

As Calyx sat down on his stool, he idly wondered again if he should invest in some crafting-improving apparel. It certainly would help, and he had the money for it now, so he had no real reason not to. It would likely pay for itself eventually, with the increase in item quality it would bring him. Of course, he would probably forget all about it like he always did by the time he was done crafting for the day, so he instead focused on the task at hand

He must have still been distracted though, because the material he had been shaping promptly broke in his hands. Calyx snapped out of his idle stupor, and tried to focus on being more aware of what he was doing.

"What do you think?", he asked to Lockheed. "Should I try to commission a tailor or something after this? Oh, nevermind. It's not related to beating things in the face, so you don't care.", he said dismissively. Lockheed made a face that looked as if he was satisfied with the answer Calyx had supplied for him, and gave a slight nod before turning back to idly watch the passing strangers. Calyx grabbed another material, intent on not drifting off this time while he tried to shape the object.

Calyx sighed. "Oh well, one more." He grabbed the day's final crafting material and placed it on the table, hoping for better luck this time.

The object promptly shattered before an unsurprised Calyx. "Yeah, I should probably go get some crafting gear.", he said to no one in particular. "Come on, Lockheed.", he said to the dragon as he rose from his seat toward the town that should certainly contain some sort of item to make his crafting life easier.
