[SP-F1] Secret Medicine of the Forest

Recommended Posts

Seldentar was wandering around floor one when he came to a village. Walking inside, he looks around. He needed to go back up to floor eight soon, to continue his training. However with the monsters and thus the risk far greater, he was spending a few extra minutes down on floor 1 to relax before putting himself back into mortal danger. As he walks through the town, he notices a small group gathered. Moving towards them, he overhears the tail end of the conversation.

"So the little boy is very sick, and only an item gathered in the forest can save him I heard. The poor mother is worried sick."

This must be the location of a quest, Seld reasons, as players cant get sick, only poisoned. Moving towards a nearby house, he locates the mother, and begins to talk.

"Is something wrong?"

He asks, knowing that would trigger any quests she might have to offer.

"My son is very ill, and without medicine he will surely die. If you can bring me the flower from one of the Little Nepents in the forest, I can make a cure."

Seldentar nods, accepting the quest and turning to leave. This would be fast, at his level he could wipe through this no problem.

Seldentar walks along through the forest. At his level, most monsters in this area aren't even reacting to his presence. He hums to himself as he goes, until spotting a grouping of Little Nepents. He scans the crowd of 10, looking for a rare one. He doesn't see any, but decides he may as well eliminate this grouping anyway.

Targetting the nearest Little Nepent, Seldentar sprints forward, preparing the genocide that will be on these plants today. As he approaches, he swings his sword wide. His blade slices clean through the first one, destroying it utterly.

He sighs as he keeps moving. There was no thrill of battle here, these were not worthy enemies. Still, he wanted to make use of the quest reward skill points, so he had to continue. Targetting the next, he continues his rampage. Once again, the low level monsters were no match for his advanced weaponry and level, as his sword rips the plant to shreds.

Seldentar continues, moving into the next grouping. This time two were in range at once, but with his high level he was not concerned about them attacking him. Raising his sword, he slashes at the next. Missing, one of the plants manages to lash out at him.

Seldentar continues to fight, as the two plants move in on him. Dodging to the left as the first one moves in, he finds himself directly in the path of the second. Raising his arm, he stabs forward, ripping the plant apart before it manages to land its attack.
