I wont lie, I wasn't a huge fan of this particular part of the show. It was interesting in that standard murder mystery way, but otherwise...

Now, what WAS interesting, that I thought would make a epic story arc was Laughing Coffin. A PK'er guild. Imagine Kirito having to hunt them all down. That would be epic.

Unfortunately, it was all a set up to give some reason for Kuradeel to be nuts.

Eh I didn't like it a whole lot either. It was a bit of a Cliche being as how those two so happen to be there at that time. The ONLY two players who could've taken on an entire guild of PKers.

Not going to lie, this episode and the next one really weren't that great in my opinion. It was good for the information, but the episodes themselves were rather boring. Hahahaha

Exactly! They could have easily incorporated the game mechanics that were learned in those episodes in other episodes!

That's my point. These episodes were utterly pointless and otherwise just a way to prolong the story so it wouldn't be too short. But again, they could've easily made other episodes that actually meant something and incorprated all that information.

They really needed to animate the floor two scenes about after that first boss fight then he's running around with a yellow bandana, and ends up partying with Asuna again. At least they'd be able to explain how weapons modification worked in the anime, instead of leaving it up to the light novel readers.
