Kirito 0 Posted July 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Diabel had applied his first set of skill points into his <> skill, allowing him to have a more defensive action of play so far. With his weapon, he needn't worry about dealing extra damage for a while as he knows that he can already deal more than a player without this weapon. Therefore he wanted to test his luck against a wild enemy, a <> which is the most common enemy every player begins to fight.
Kirito 0 Posted July 29, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Diabel went into the fields where every player that was trying to train was around. He ignored most of them, but he did say "Hello" to anyone that said the same to him. Diabel knew that as a level 2 now, he had a higher chance of beating these boars. Diabel encountered his first <> weeks ago, when he was unable to fight however. Due to his fear of death, he ran from the fight. Today however, he planned on actually taking the time to fight and grind off of these monsters until he got to a reasonable level to start fighting monsters on the upper floors. Kirito 0 Posted July 29, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Diabel stood before his first opponent. The red name above the monster showed that it was a harder enemy, but it wasn't a dark red name, so clearly it was able to be beaten with the level he has now. Diabel drew his weapon and equipped his kite shield in a formation so that he would be ready to fight at any second. Diabel jumped towards the <> watching as his weapon came downwards towards the boar. The weapon, was not swung quick enough, as it had proven to be a slow attack for the boar from it's dodge. Right after Diabel had made his landing, the boar began to rush in squealing at him. Diabel: 9/9 Frenzied Boar: 5/
Kirito 0 Posted July 29, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Diabel watched as the <> honed in on him. As the tusks of the boar, shone with an ivory glow, he knew that it would try to hit him with its tusks trying to deal harm. Diabel had hoped that the Cardinal system would be in his favor today and that the boar would not be able to hit a critical. Diabel watched the enemy run in at him, but it wasn't quick enough. This time he had managed to do a dodge, and right away Diabel turned to face his opponent while it wasn't looking, allowing him to swing his weapon at it's back. Kirito 0 Posted July 29, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Diabel knew that the boar would not be prepared for a rapid attack. Capturing the moment to attack the boar, he swung his weapon in the direction of the boar, which was at it's back, while the boar continued running forward until it came to a halt. Diabel knew that hitting a moving target is tougher than hitting a standing one, but he knew that he could pull it off. He came down hard with his weapon. Diabel had to blink while swinging, and when he reopened his eyes about a second later, he saw that there was a red gash in the boar's back, assuring him that he had hit the boar. When he looked at the boar, he saw that the boar's health was now almost halfway down from a single hit. Diabel: 9/9 Frenzied Boar: 3/
Kirito 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Although the <> was injured, it would refuse to let up on Diabel. The boar grinded it's foot to the ground, providing the play with the information that it was about to charge in. As the boar charged forward, it lowered it's head, and it's snout forward with it's two tusks from it's mouth aimed at the player. However, as the boar rushed forward, Diabel had foreseen the slow oncoming attack, and gotten out of the way. Diabel: 9/9 Frenzied Boar: 3/
Kirito 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted August 16, 2014 As Diabel felt the movement of his body shift to the right of the boar, using the kinetic motion from his legs, he shift it up to his arm to bring down the weapon with a strong force against the boar. He then made sure to keep a grip as well, to make sure that he doesn't drop the rather heavy weapon he had equipped. The weapon didn't deal a critical hit, but it was enough to drop the boar's HP to a low amount. To about 1 or 2 HP left he assumed. As a floor 1 enemy, he knew there wouldn't be too much to expect from an opponent like this. Diabel: 9/9 Frenzied Boar: 1/
Kirito 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Again, the <> turned around at it's attacker, now weak. It still rushed forward again. Due to the boar only being capable of one type of attack, Diabel knew where and when he would need to move to avoid taking more damage. The boar as Diabel dodged it's charge, ran past the player, and looked around to see if the player had possibly fled the battle. Diabel: 9/9 Frenzied Boar: 1/
Kirito 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Diabel walked over behind the <> because it was lost, made it easy. The boar was currently unsuspecting of another attack. Diabel brought his arm over his shoulder and swung down the weapon at the <>'s back. The boar had sensed an attack and ran forward, or so Diabel thought anyways, making his attack go to complete waste. Diabel: 9/9 Frenzied Boar: 1/
Kirito 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted August 16, 2014 The boar hadn't known it was about to be attacked if it hadn't heard the blade cutting through the air. Turning it's face to where it heard the sound coming from, it saw the "missing" player and rushed at it with fury. The boar's attack was useless. Although it did make contact with Diabel once again, the damage did nothing due to his superior defense compared to the boar's offense stats. Kirito 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Diabel grinned at the boar which was now in front of him trying to smash its tusks into his light metal armor. "You poor boar, it's a shame you can't hurt me now isn't it." he said sounding somewhat cruel. Diabel brought down his weapon at the boar in front of him. The boar had managed to run away though by the time the attack made it to the boar. "Darn. I need to attack faster and talk less." he told himself as he watched the boar prepare for another attack. Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted August 17, 2014 The boar ran at the player again, trying to finally cause his HP Gauge to drop at least a slight amount. Because the Cardinal System's AI Programming, the <> was unable to logically think and realize that this opponent was far too superior to it, due to it's inability to cause any damage. The boar's tusks again, smashed into the player's knee, but the player didn't budge even the slightest. Diabel: 9/9 Frenzied Boar: 1/
Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Diabel found it was amazing that he could look this enemy in the eyes and know that there was nothing it could do to him unless with actually a critical hit. Diabel then raised his arm above his head again and swung down with intense force at the boar that was still in front of him. Diabel thought he had missed for a moment, but due to the weapon's weight, the force of the swing increased over the few seconds it took him to bring down the weapon, allowing him to barely graze his opponent, and dealing enough damage to annihilate the <>. After the enemy had died, Diabel was prompted with a screen showing the experience he had gained. Level Up! The Title of the white, holographic box in front of him said. He had reached level 3 already. He knew that if he kept at the pace he was, that there would be no problem getting up to the front lines. Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #14 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Diabel continued looking for more opponents to fight. Off in the distance, he was able to find 2 <>'s in the field. Because a wolf normally has a better vision than a boar, the "aggro range" of their attack radius was much larger. As he neared closer, the wolves' system kicked in and they began to charge in at the player who stood easily 25 yards away from the wolves. Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #15 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Diabel watched as the wolves honed in closer by the second. Although they were charging him, he stood ready to attack. He held his weapon in his right hand with a firm grip and waited for the first wolf to come near him enough for his attack to make contact. As the first wolf jumped up into the air to strike Diabel, he swung his weapon at the wolf. The weapon slashed across the wolf's stomach, causing it to whimper down and back away. After a few seconds, both wolves stood in front of Darius furious as any other enemy in this game. Diabel: 11/11 <>: 3/5 <>: 5/
Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted August 17, 2014 The first of the <>'s that had already taken damage, decided to rush in for another attack, with the second one following behind. Diabel stood ready, and braced himself to find out if he can take damage from these enemies. The wolf's hind legs used the power they had to lift the wolf into the air, with it's front paws claws forward at Diabel. The wolf's attack was unsuccessful as Diabel had managed to jump away. Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Right after the first wolf had leaped into the air and missed, the other wolf came running faster than the first at Diabel. Drawing closer, it snarled it's teeth at Diabel, and jumped towards Diabel's legs, more than likely attempting to bite his leg. The wolf's sharp teeth, dug into Diabel's ankle, right where there wasn't any plated armor, and had dealt some damage to Diabel. Diabel: 9/11 <>: 3/5 <>: 5/
Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #18 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Diabel let out a groan of pain, finally feeling the effect of the teeth. Although they didn't leave a status effect, they still caused him to hurt a bit. His defense may be high enough to block a hit here and there, but he can't expect to block every single hit from everything. It was a foolish mistake thinking that he could win another fight unscathed. Diabel turned towards the first wolf he had already hurt earlier and swung his weapon in the direction of the the first <>'s position. The wolf managed to outsmart Diabel, and trick him into attacking so that it could avoid the attack. Turning back around, the wolf ran right at Diabel again. Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #19 Share Posted August 17, 2014 The wolf neared Diabel like earlier and jumped into the air again, with the same formation as it did the first time, unsuspecting of an attack this time. The wolf's claws were forward and ready to slash at Diabel. The strike was again, a miss as Diabel rolled to the right, dodging the attack. Behind the first one again, Diabel saw the second wolf already charging forward at him. Diabel: 9/11 <>: 3/5 <>: 5/
Kirito 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #20 Share Posted August 17, 2014 The second <> neared again. Through the reflection of Diabel's blue eyes, there was a wolf's menacing look. The wolf jumped at Diabel, ready to attack him in the same spot as it did before. However, Diabel saw the attack coming and dodged the attack, knowing he wouldn't let himself get hit in the same spot twice in a row. Diabel: 9/11 <>: 3/5 <>: 5/
