Raidou 1 Posted July 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2014 A shop in a run-down old thing located near the entrance of the Forest of Mist, a bit difficult for anyone to find unless they knew where it is. The shop seems to be fully kitted suited for the apothecary's needs, The equipment was chemistry in nature. It smelled of old paper, and due to the inhabitant it was racked with a multitude of blank and partially written upon parchment. Glassware creates a tapestry upon the chambers most central counter top. This was clearly not designed with selling in mind but more for experimenting. An array of tools: > A centrifuge operated by petal, a bit archaic to reality and what one was used to, compared to the real-world variants. > A mortar and pestle kit, a beautiful white marble color. > A pair of crucible tongs and crucible, both a greenish hue in make, most likely glass. > 3 large graduated volumetric flask with some various types of pre-made bases reading: a blue one reading <Blue Herb Base>, a gold one looking to be <Honey Catalyst>, and a grayish one labeled <Viscous Fluid> with droppers, the volumetric flasks each reading <<20 uses>> on ones HUD. > A typical gas bunsen burner although a bit fancier then what he was used to, curiously not hooked up to anything to receive gas from, sitting on the counter on the far left near the vial rack. > An extremely large multi-shelved vial rack in the back left of his shop complete with vials plenty, between the counter and the back wall. > A seemingly never-ending collection of 2-inch tall small glass jars with corks on a shelf, directly behind the counter on the back wall. > A pair of heavy, high-temperature forceps for extracting solid mass from hot objects, made of a curious red metal, copper maybe? Raidou places the LD' Tears into his vial with a honey based catalyst, he pulls up a stirring rod, it begins to glow blue before he adds it into the vial. Stirring rapidly the mixture begins to glow blue, Raidou places it back into his vial rack and waits for it to settle Craft Dice 2 Fail Craft Exp 1 The mixture comes to a halt while Raidou looks on, sadly they don't seem to form anything of use, they just produce a clear blue mixture making his shame concrete. Raidou lifts the mixture with his tongs and dumps the useless clear liquid out the window, as a small demonic sound is heard. Link to post Share on other sites
Raidou 1 Posted July 30, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 30, 2014 Raidou begins a mixture of Self-heal in attempt to produce a powerful healing potion, Picking up his herbs he places them into his mortar. Raidou lifts the pestle near his face, as it starts to glow blue. Raidou begins to crush the herb into a fine powder, after completing the mixture he lifts it up and pours the powder into a nearby vial, and uses some prepared blue mushroom base. Raidou looks at the mix "Wow a little of this stuff goes a long way" he thought, adding a small drop into the vial of self-herb. Raidou picks the vial containing his new mixture up with tongs, and moves it over his burner, after it heats up and begins to glow, he replaces it in his vial rack. Raidou re-adjusts his glasses, looking at his compound waiting to see if it bonds properly. Crafting Dice 1 Epic Fail Exp 1 Suddenly the mixture turns a dark red, the mixture seems to have been overheated. the mixture bursts into data spewing black smog that permeates Raidou's shop. Raidou then adds the mixture to a vial adding water and a blue mushroom base to it. Raidou begins to heat it up again, remembering the last time he attempted this mixture. as it begins to glow blue he replaces it into the vial rack. Crafting Dice: 4 Quality: Good Exp 2 Raidou is pleased as the vial stops to glow and is a green color, giving him the notion it wont explode this time. Raidou lifts the vial with tongs and transfers its contents into a small 2 inch tall jar, and places a cork on the top to prevent the mixture from decaying in durability. Item:Herb Ale Quality:Good Shop: Hermit's Hermetics Description: A Simple mixture of Green Self-Heal. It fermented a bit to long, so it wont do you any good for healing, but it does taste good! Raidou lifts up the vial and drops in a little base for the Self-Heal to bond to. Raidou sticks it over the burner, waits for it to glow, then on the vial rack to wait out its cooling process. Crafting Dice: 3 Quality: Bad Exp 1 Raidou's concoction ceases to glow as he re-raises it. and hasn't bonded properly. Raidou looks down on his mistake, which has now become a black sludge. The machine begins to whirl, in attempts to seperate the mixture back into its base components, Raidou pulls out he blue mushroom base, and sets it aside for a further bonding. "Now comes the hard part." Raidou says to no one as he begins to boil the watered down the Self-Heal, it glows blue in the glass crucible. Salvage Dice: 10 Success! 1*Self-Heal Salvaged The fluid reforms the original powder, afterward Raidou lifts the lid of the crucible. Upon exposure to air the powder snaps back into its herb form, Raidou glaces down amused. Peeling the herb from the hot crucible with forceps, he places back into his dry bag, and places the bag with its new contents back on his shelf behind the counter. Link to post Share on other sites

Then crushing down a blue mushroom base, he applies the self heal powder, and stirs it together with a small amount of water. Moving the craft over an open bun-sin burner, it begins to glow blue, Raidou removes it, eager to see the result of his actions... Crafting Dice: 3 Quality: Bad Exp 1 Raidou looks down at the mixture, it seems to not have bonded correctly, producing a thick black substance unfit for consumption. The heat causes Raidou to sweat a bit, Raidou wipes his brow with his sleeve before moving the mixtures contents into a nearby centrifuge. Raidou powers the machine and lets it spin, hoping to retrieve the materials spent Salvage Dice: 5 Fail! 0*Self-Heal Salvaged Raidou disables the machine and waits for it to power down. After a few seconds it grinds to a halt and the lid pops open. Raidou peers in only to see the red lit mixture burst, pixel-ating into shards of data. Link to post Share on other sites

Taking one of his bought self-heals he obtained from The Lotus, he begins to grind it down into a powder. Grabbing the dropper from the flask labeled <>, he drips a single unit into the vial. tapping the mortar a bit with his finger, the powder drops into the vial. With a stirring rod he gets the concoction ready for the bonding procedure. Picking the vial up with crucible tongs, he holds the vial over the bunsen burner, which auto powers with the item over it. Once the concoction reaches the correct temperature, it glows blue. Raidou places the vial back on the vial stand, waiting for the fluid within to settle. Crafting Dice: 5 Quality: Good Exp 2 Item:Herb Ale Quality:Good Shop: Hermit's Hermetics Description: A simple mixture of green self-heal. It fermented a bit to long, so it wont do you any good for healing, but it does taste good!(5 Servings) After a few moments, the fluid cools, revealing a green fluid. Raidou reads his manual following its instruction picks up the vial, tapping it with a the end of his stirring rod. Nothing happens, beginning to think to himself "According to the book, its supposed to glow when in motion if its got any properties". Picking up another vial from the large rack on his left, he transfers it to the vial holder. Grinding up another unit of self-heal Raidou taps it into the vial from the mortar. With a drop of <> and a bit of heat, the vial is replaced on the holder glowing blue. Crafting Dice: 2 Quality: Failed Exp 1 As the vial and the contents cools, it glows red. With a burst and shards of data the craft fails, leaving only vial behind. Raidou sighs picks up the vial and places it back on the rack to his left. Changing back into his combat gear, he moves all of his tools back into a neat collection on the back counter, keeping everything easy to find. Retrieving a vial from the rack on his left, and placing on the stand he spreads his equipment a bit to give him ample space to work. Placing the mortar and pestle in front of him he pulls a Self heal from his bag and gets working, his Pestle glows blue before he begins crushing the herb into a powder. Pouring the powder into the vial and adding a drop of «blue mushroom base», Raidou grabs the vial with crucible tongs and heats it on his bunsen burner. After a moment the mixture glows, and Raidou proceeds to place it back on the vial stand for cooling. Raidou lets the fluid cool it produces a green fluid, that didn't explode. Picking the vial up and tapping it with a stirring rod, it doesn't seem to have any magical properties. Raidou shrugs and adds it to the rack of other Herb Ale. Quickly grinding another unit of Self-heal with the pestle, Raidou transfers the powder into the vial. With a dash of blue mushroom base and a quick stir, Raidou picks up the mixture in his crucible tongs and heats it over the burner. The vial cools to reveal a green fluid. Picking up the vial and tapping it lightly with the stirring rod, it glows dimly with the impact. Happy with the result of a potion with some actual properties, Raidou transfers the fluid into a 2 inch bottle and jots down some notes, writing down the heating time for future use. Item:Basic HP Potion Quality:Uncommon Shop: Hermit's Hermetics Description: A adept level concoction of Green Self-Heal and a blue mushroom base. With a fervor Raidou stirs with inhibition as he uses a blood-booster in a blue mushroom base. Taking shape it produces a soft red fluid, then forming a crystallized shape. Banging the test tube at an angle, it forms a small piece of sugar coated goodness in the shape of a death robot. Grabbing a Iron-stem he tests its properties, Smacking it on the counter. Raidou tries a myriad of things to make use of the thing: heating it, crushing it, and scratching at it to no avail. Finally Raidou submerges it in water, as it sinks it dissolves into the water. Quickly jotting down notes in his almanac Raidou takes the now Iron water and boils it, forming a steel color gel. Lighting up for a moment to complete the process Raidou transfers it into a vial and waits for it to settle. Settling it forms a dark grey substance, and while Raidou taps on the vial it glows blue proving rare quality. Given the nature of the plant used, Raidou assumes this will increase defense somehow. Slightly freezing the vial, a bit of ice forms around it as it is bonded with the honey glowing right away. Pouring it out on to the counter to stop it from shattering the glowing ice shard enlarges. Raidou stares in awe as it enlarges and forms a crystal. Lifting it up, the white sheen off of it is apparent as a image of all of Aincrad is contained within the crystal ball-esque item. Focusing on his shop as he was about to lose it in his thoughts, It comes in view on the crystal. "Must be either a looking glass or a teleport item better hang on to this." Producing a white gem thats cold to the touch, after thinking of a destination for a second it becomes visible and crushing it under this condition will warp the player and any contacting player with them. Extracting the fluid as it solidifies he adds a drop of gel bonding agent, to create a thick poison to apply to a weapon. Forming a electric yellow color, Raidou is surprised in the switch of color before bottling it and jotting down its properties in his almanac. Raidou twists the herb, straining the fluids into a container, that glows purple for a second showboating its quality. "Perfect" Raidou says staring at it. Stringing it out, it burns Raidou's hands a little grinding it in the mortar and pestle. It begins to smoke before Raidou moves the remaining ash into a vial with a dab of gel base. It glows orange bonding with the gel base and completing the craft, as Raidou transfers it to a jar. It glows blue for a moment broadcasting rare quality. Craft Dice: 10 Quality: Rare Exp: 5 Item:Blood Burning Concentrate Quality:Rare Shop: Hermit's Hermetics Description: A expert level concoction of black Blazing-Tar and a dab of gel bonding agents. Producing a thick black gel like syrup, for pouring on a weapon causing the searing of flesh contacted with the weapon. This poison takes a post to apply to a weapon, the next 2 successful swings will burn the target for 2 damage over 2 posts. (2 Bleeding damage over 2 posts, dissipates after 2 successful strikes of the weapon [These applications do not stack but will refresh the post count] takes 1 post to apply to a weapon, single use) Approved!
