[PP-F4] Draconic Delicacies -Complete-

Seldentar appears on the teleport pad of the fourth floor. The cold hits him almost instantly, as he pulls his coat around him more. He had forgotten how cold it got on this floor. He turns as he sees another blue light forming, indicating another teleporting player was about to enter the floor.

As the light faded from her vision, Shiro's teleportation into the winter village of Snowfrost was complete. She shuddered a bit and hugged herself for warmth. The name was apt. The whole floor appeared to be somewhat of a winter wonderland and she was very much under-dressed for the occasion. It didn't bother her too much, though. She'd always been able to adjust to the cold, and it wouldn't have so adverse an effect on her here in Sword Art Online.

"Wow. It's pretty here."

She rubbed her arms vigorously for a moment and then stood up straight as though she were completely comfortable. She wasn't, of course, but she was a big girl. She'd live.

Seldentar sees her start to shiver in the cold and frowns. He had always liked the cold, so he hadn't really thought about it too much. But not everyone was like him. He walks over to Shiro, taking off his coat.

"Here, you can use this. Its not much, but itll be better then nothing. Sorry I forgot to warn you this was a frozen floor."

She shook her head and held out her hand to dismiss the coat he offered.

"I'm fine, thank you. We should get this over with quickly, though. Once we start moving we'll both warm up."

She waited for Seldentar to lead them off. She felt confident that with her new gear and slightly higher level that she'd be able to hold her own against anything she'd come across in the field here, but it was her first time on the floor. It would be better if her partner took the lead.

Seldentar sighs, slipping his coat back on. He would have felt better if she had taken it, but she was free to make her own decisions. Nodding, he turns, pointing to a mountain in the distance.

"Thats where we are headed, theres a cave at the base of the mountain, and most of it is hollow. The drakes live there, variety of colors, so if you want to try to get some leather for armor we just have to pick which color you wanted."

He leads her out of the safe zone, but sticks close to her in case anything attacks them on their journey.

Following along closely, she walked mostly in silence. After some time, she began to consider what Seldentar had said about various colours of armour. She figured she'd rather like to keep any outfit she wore somewhat subdued. Greys and whites, maybe a bit more colour in the area of pinks or blues. Regardless, she didn't want anything too flashy. She preferred her clothes be rather desaturated. It seemed to make more sense for someone who's life would soon center on combat.

Seldentar leads Shiro to the drake nesting cave he had been to previously. He walks up to the entrance to the cave, making sure none of the drakes were directly inside.

"Shiro, get inside fast, itll be warmer for you inside, out of the snow."

Even though she had refused his coat, Seldentar was still worried about the cold, since he didn't know what effects that would have on them in this world.

The cold hadn't really been bothering her as much as she had thought it would since they had started walking, but she still hurried herself inside the cave at his behest. She took a look around as she waited on Seld. It wasn't anything like the caves she'd seen back in the real world. of course, this was only the entrance, but there was no dripping water or running streams. She wondered how big the dragons would be.

After she walks in, he follows behind her, looking up the path. He knew around the second turn would be the large open cavern with the black flying drakes.

"There are dragons on floor 1 too, small little wyrmlings, but up here are the drakes. These ones can fly, and have a bit more hp, but are usually a better challenge. With the two of us working together, we shouldnt have any trouble quickly disposing them. Are you ready to go?"

He has a warm smile on his face, very happy that he was here with someone that he could fight along side so naturally.

She nodded and returned his smile. She was just happy to be out and about. She couldn't wait to test out the beautiful rapier that Seldentar had forged for her. It was light and she was able to move with it quickly. It begged to be unsheathed and plunged into an enemy. They couldn't get to the main chamber fast enough. She started walked down the path slow enough for Seldentar to take the lead.

Seldentar leads her through the tunnels. As they come around the final turn, the area opens into a wide open cavern. Above them, idly gliding in the air, are large black drakes. More reside on the ground, walking or laying around. Seldentar unsheathes his <>, and turns to look at Shiro.

"Ready when you are."

Reaching for her rapier at her hip, she draws the pristine blade. It sings as it leaves its sheathe. Truly, this blade is a masterpiece of blacksmithing. She nodded at Seldentar, ready to get the show on the road. Suddenly, Shiro dropped back into her stance, the full form of《Myrtenaster》glowing brightly as she activated《Linear》. Her lunge carried her forward at blinding speed towards a nearby drake, the sword singing a high note the whole way. The creature let out a squeal as the blade tore into its flesh. Shiro hopped back preparing to evade any counters.

Seldentar rushes in behind Shiro, confident in her ability even before he knows she will hit. As her attack goes off, he dashes past her. Even as she is hopping back to avoid a counter attack, he moves in, trying to throw the monster off balance to prevent it from retaliating. Shiro had already severely depleted its hit points, and with a powerful slash, Seldentar cuts the monster down.

Obtained: 2 Dragon Flanks (Cooking Material)

He turns afterwards, with a grin on his face.

"You were amazing, with the two of us here, it won't take any time at all to gather plenty of materials for your shop. Youll have the best restaurant in Aincrad."

She giggled a bit.

"It's a hard title not to earn when you have no competition."

She was excited. The rush of the fight had lifted her spirits and temperature significantly. It was like a drug to her and she wanted more. She winked at Seldentar and turned around, dashing as quickly as her Sprint skill would allow, leaping into the air and unleashing a flurry of thrusts upon an unsuspecting drake faster than the human eye could track. The poor creature reeled with the weight and speed of the blows as its health dipped into the red. Shiro bounded back making room for Seld's follow-up.

Seldentar watches Shiro run off, and dashes after her. As she unleashes a flury of attacks, he dashes in to finish the drake off. As it whipped its head around at Shiro, he digs his blade deep into the drake, watching it shatter apart.

"Alright two down. We are doing pretty good so far."

Shiro takes a look around the chamber. The drakes here didn't seem to aggro players automatically. That was good. Thinks could get out of control very quickly given the number of them in here. Still, Shiro yearned for a greater challenge. Soon enough, she found it in the form of a mean-looking drake that was much larger than the others. She took off in a dash launching another flurry of blows at the large drake, bounding back quickly. She had underestimated the beast at first. It had seen the attack coming, and with a great gust of its leathery wing, kept Shiro from making contact with her thrusts. She muttered a bit as she landed, but promised herself she wouldn't underestimate it again.

Seldentar watches as Shiro chases after and charges a much larger drake. Running after her, he sees it react to her initial attack, and dashes in to slash at it to throw it off balance. Even as it raises one of its claws, he slashes across, knocking it back and depleting some of its hit points.

"Shiro you ok?!"

Kicking off the ground hard, Shiro rocketed forward taking several swipes at the large dragon before ducking under a swipe of its thick tail. It was clearly angry, its health having been so quickly dropped into the red.

"Don't get so worked up, I'm a big girl."

Seldentar brings his blade up to counter and block the dragons attacks, then, as Shiro hits it just as hard as he had, he jumps up into the air to finish it off. Triggering his , he plummets through the air at the drake. His blade pierces through the large drake, and in an explosion of light, it vanishes. Seldentar stands up, turning to Shiro.

"Sorry....when I saw it go after you I got worried. I don't want anything to happen to you thats all..."

"You should give me more credit. I'm not some helpless damsel in distress, you know. I'm and excellent fencer, even in the real world."

She wagged her finger at him as she said this, matter-of-factly. It was the truth. She had been the captain of her high school fencing club for two years and even continued her interest in the sport after she graduated. She really was very good with fencing weapons. It was the reason she had selected One-Handed Rapier as her primary weapon skill.
