[SP-F1] Earning a Living (Quest) [Complete]

The attack was a success and he had finally brought both boars down to half their health, meaning that one attack could finish off either of them. The second boar that had just been attacked yelped before retreating a bit, but the first boar was still rushing head first towards the player. Zak turned and prepared for it, waiting again to thrust his sword into the boar at the last second, maximizing on his chance to hit the brute, "Your friend is next."

No loot was obtained, but at this point, Zak couldn't care less. It was to be expected after all, but he had a promise to fulfill as the first boar's shards began to go away. He turned to find that the other boar had grunted in anger at its comrade's death, but didn't seem to care much about its own life. It began running, trying to commit that same old scripted attack to take the player out from under his legs. In a large group, it could definitely be one of the more dangerous attacks to be hit by as it'd leave a player wide open for subsequent attacks. However, one or two didn't amount to much danger on their own. Zak readied his blade and lunged forwards, ready to finish his with the slightest hope that he'd get that tusk he had been struggling to obtain.

Zak sighed a sweet sigh of victorious relief as the boar shattered into shard, leaving him with the last item he needed, the second boar tusk, "It's about time..." He had finally completed the list of items that he had needed for the quest; both boar tusks, both wolf fangs, a rabbit foot, and four materials to begin working with on his own. He couldn't believe that such a considerably easy starter quest would require so much work and danger right off the bat, but that's what he loved about this game. Every little thing in this game mattered and if you didn't take it seriously, you faced the consequences. Even the lowest of levels offered some mild form of danger, even more so during small groups or large hoards of them. If you didn't pay attention, you wouldn't live much longer in this world. The grin on his face wouldn't disappear during the somewhat short trip back to town as he made his way to the shop.

Once he made it in town, it was hard not to notice the lack of players just hanging around and moping. Some obviously got the clue that they needed to get their ass in gear if they ever planned to make it out of here alive. Others probably fled to start forming groups among others or began seeking some of their loved ones and friends that had gotten stuck in the game as well. He didn't want to even think of those that had more than likely committed suicide at this point, giving up like pathetic, hopeless idiots that didn't take any consideration on their own lives. Obviously the town and players would be a mess for some period of time, but Zak wasn't going to become involved with that. They simply had to deal with the deck that they were dealt, there no were re-rolls here. Eventually, he wound up at the Smith's shop and walked in, though he made it pretty clear he was over this quest, "Yo, old man. You still here?"

"There be no old men here. Just a young man and a kid." The response was delivered pretty well so Zak simply grinned at the comment, "Well, I've got the goods that you needed." He walked up to the counter, pulling up his inventory on the menu before withdrawing the loot. He placed the [boar Tusk] x2, [Wolf Fang] x2, and [Rabbit's Foot] on the counter, "Here you go, I've also got some mats to boot, so what now?" The Smithy walked up to insure that these were indeed the items that he requested and once he was satisfied, he gave a paper document and a key to Zak, "Here's the deed and key to an open shop for ya. It's an old Blacksmith's place that used to be there so you ought to be able to get started right away. Good luck, player." Quite pleased with the turn out of things, Zak made his way to his new shop, ready to begin his true journey towards beating the game, "Thanks, ciao."
