» About: "Saito's life outside of SAO was far from perfect. Growing up with his mother out of the picture, he quickly began keeping everyone at an arms length. His witty forthcoming were usually followed by intense sarcasm. His childhood and awkward years lead to him to many altercations that usually ended with a black eye. The urge to start confrontation was always on the forefront of his thoughts. Though he had friends the scars of his childhood kept them from seeing the real him.

MMOs were a way for him to begin expanding his personal horizons as he could test the waters of revealing who is his behind a screen. Soon he became lost in his fantasy worlds as he longed to be the wise, witty, cunning hero. Though he still spoke his native sarcastic tongue fluently, he was able to express bits and parts of himself to guild members.

When SAO was announced Saito was beyond excited, the chance to create who he wanted, change the way he looked (so he thought) and physically interact as his "true self" as oppose to being enslaved to a world that he isolated himself from. Being lucky enough to preorder the nerve gear and SAO Saito began planning his new character in Aincrad. He spend countless nights finding forums or any beta tester willing to give him some helpful hints.

"Link Start!" Saito spoke softly into his nerve gear as he was taken away to SAO, the day his fate was sealed to truly be seen by those around him, and break down those social barriers for a chance at survival....

» Virtues:

Creative. Teachers and mentors in school continuously commented on the way Saito's mind processed information. Being able to organize the information available and cross reference it with possible solutions always lead to an innovating result. Saito always had a difficulty solving problems by the means that he was taught, rather he created his own methods for the same outcome. This was also true when it came to fighting in school. The more quarrels he found himself in the easier it was to find ways to come out on top.

Self-discipline. This only is applied to things that Saito sets his full attention to, once his mind locks on to a task it will be completed or he will die trying. Pushing himself to to level cap of every MMO he ever played as fast as possible, Saito's resolve was unparalleled. His self-discipline allows him to remained focused on the task at hand. Saito uses this in combat as he can wait for the perfect opening before landing his strategic blow.

Understanding. This ability alone allows him to blend in with society when he needs to. Being able to think clearly , pay attention to details and analyze those around him gives him an edge when talking his way in and out of situations. Ever since Saito began playing strategy games such as Chess, MMOS, RTS's, his ability to completely break down a game or situation into information and process it accordingly makes him a master technician on and off the battlefield.

» Flaws:

Arrogant. Saito was the only one he could rely on to build up his self worth, but that ended up being more than enough. After being abandoned, Saito created an illusion about how he was better than his mother and better than all of those around him who relied on multiple parental figures. Getting himself into bad situations is a signature of Saito. Believing he is a force to be reckoned with, he usually takes on too much that causes strain on his body and mind.

Temptation. Saito's arrogance leads him to be tempted into debates, confrontation, and altercations to prove he is smarter, wittier, and stronger. This was the down fall of his childhood but old habits die hard. Though his objectives remain intact, sometimes Saito can be tempted into situations that aren't in his favor because the sheer thrill of the adrenaline he gets from fighting is well worth the distraction.

Proud. All of his flaws begin to intertwine and lead down the same road. His pride, arrogance, and weakness for fighting almost defines who he is. It's hard for Saito to admit he is wrong, take help from strangers, or conform to the way things are suppose to be done. This often causes Saito an unnecessary hardship in his life. The need to prove that his way is better sometimes overtakes, or outweighs the importance of solving the original problem.

Soft Hearted. Through his arrogant persona, is a young man that wants to experience brotherhood, companionship, trust... Deep down Saito wants to have close friends that he can converse with that are worth dying for. This rarely leads to Saito leaving his guard down in the hope that he won't be let down. These concepts are mere pipe dreams in Saito's mind because the tests they would have to pass to make this a reality would take a lifetime. The only person who has broken ground on this platform is Demitry Matter.
