Alchemy wasn't so different from chemistry, Shum Sun Ten supposed.In the end, it all just came down to how things were mixed together, anyways. So even though they had absolutely no idea how this whole alchemy profession, it seemed like a safe bet to go about it scientifically. Meaning that eventually, something was going to have to blow up. Maybe. Shum Sun Ten didn't even know if that was possible in the game but they were sure as heck going to figure out.

Wax, animal fat, herbs, some shiny stones, half a dozen glass vials, a handful of nails, a ball of yarn, an elephant. Daisies. The list of needed items went on for much longer but for the time, Shum Sun Ten decided to play it simple. So, daisies. That was always a good way to start things. Daisies had lots of uses, too, and if they could find the right amount of a certain type, they might be able to get latex out of them.

And, well, even if the right species couldn't be found, there were still daisies just everywhere. It seemed like such a huge waste to not do anything with them and Shum Sun Ten was certain that at some point, they would be useful. At some point.
