The enemy was hit with the blade, causing a quarter of its health to go down, At that same moment, the second kobold used "Circle", starting to swing its pickax everywhere, Hikari had little time to react, as she was still hit with it as soon as the damage on the first one was dealt. The move knocked her out of range, but also inflicted quite a bit of damage as it was a direct hit, she'd lost about a sixth of her health just from that. While the second kobold continued spinning, the first one would spar with Hikari directly, using "Skull Cracker", it zipped directly to where Hikari was standing right before dodging, though she only moved about a centimeter from where she stood. As soon as possible, and at the same time the second kobold would stop spinning and started charging at her, Hikari used her "Brilliant Storm" on the first monster.

While performing her "Brilliant Storm", Hikari noticed the second miner charging at her. As this move was not a sword skill, Hikari jumped up, avoiding the second kobold, and came crashing down at the first one, creating a mixed technique between "Brilliant Storm" and "Skull Cracker", the move took off about a quarter of the miner's remaining health, leaving it with a quarter left. Hikari now turned to face the second kobold while the first laid stunned still. Charging her "Circle", Hikari charged toward the miner, who was now charging his same skill, "Circle", and released it upon the monster.

Hikari's skill worked perfectly, canceling the opponent's own and knocking it away. Second kobold out of the way for now, she turned to the now recovered first, who had just finished charging "Skull Cracker", unleashing it upon Hikari. Hikari knew this was no normal enemy so, as soon as it landed, she attempted to slash it apart. What met with her was the end of a pickax on her blade, blocking her attack, and a "Skull Cracker" from the right, unleashed by the second kobold. The move would be barely dodged but now the two miners were awake at once, making this fight more difficult. Acting on instinct, Hikari dashed towards the first, quick-stepping to the back, and unleashing "Sword Rain".

Combat Dice - 4 - Fail! - no damage

At the sight of the attack, the second kobold spared no expense at throwing its pickax straight at Hikari's face, lucky for her. though, the miner was still relatively far away and she was able to parry the pick away. She had to decide to concentrate on one, they both had the same health, so taking either down would work. While she rolled away from the back of the first kobold, both monsters would start charging their own attacks, the first one "Skull Cracker", while the second charged "Circle".

Hikari was afraid now, but she knew she'd have to do it, "Circle" took longer to charge than "Skull Cracker". When the first kobold released it, she needed to be faster than ever before, she used the move of hers which possessed the most knock-back, "Sword Rain", releasing it upon the first kobold as soon as it landed. At this moment, the second miner was just finishing charging "Circle".

The first miner defeated, she turned back and ran into safety, getting just out of range as the second miner unleashed "Circle". At this time, she glanced at the HUD, grit her teeth and closed it, there was no time to complain now. As soon as the move was finished, the black-glad, silver-haired girl struck what she hope would be the final strike. "Gyaa-aaaa!"

Her sword was met with the tip of a pickax. Desperate to break free and end this, she put her power to her shield and knocked the enemy away. Again, a stare-down ensued, none of them wanted to be the ones to start it, though she took the honors this time. Charging her "Linear", Hikari dashed towards the monster, aiming for the stomach.

The attack was interrupted mid-dash, as the miner punched Hikari's stomach, knocking her away and causing damage. "*cough* *hack* Grr... Damn.. you!" Her patience had run out, she needed to finish this now, charging towards the enemy, she saw the punch being readied. At that, she moved to the kobold's left side or her right, and quickly dashing behind it, where she attempted to unleash her previous combo technique.

With that, she slashed the coyote's back multiple times, finishing the move off with a jump and a strike from above. The skill she named "Demonic Wolf's Fang" finished the enemy off, exploding it into light blue polygons, awarding her with her final "Iron scrap" and, most of all, leveling her up to level six. In a hurry, she decided to go back to town. The enemies along the path were passive, so she had no problem reaching it, though it took quite a long time, about two hours. As she did, she noticed the old, rugged man, the NPC named "The Forger", sitting at the entrance to the City of Beginnings. He wasn't screaming about the art of forging like he used to. "The end of the day does that to you, huh..." The man kept staring at the sky until he noticed Hikari, whom he recognized simply because he gave her the quest. She talked to him, asking if she could turn in the quest now. The old man had no problems, so she handed it in, along with the iron scraps, receiving her blacksmith's tools at last. Before departing for the inn again, she said a "Goodbye, sir, and thank you." Today had been a long day and Hikari needed a hot bath. "Thank God Kayaba understands that, at least." She said after it, preparing to go to sleep, it was already late and besides, tomorrow she'd need to search for a cheap shop to buy for herself.
