Kalthios 0 Posted August 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2014 As Kalthios walked out of the high, gated walls of the Town of Beginnings, he looked around the mostly flat, grassy plain that he found himself in. To his left, he saw a group of players taking down 4 or 5 boars, while to his right he saw a lone boar that had somehow escaped the groups notice. He looked around a moment, searching for another player that seemed to be interested in it, before approaching it slowly. Link to post Share on other sites
Kalthios 0 Posted August 4, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Seeing no one else in the vicinity, Kalthios would draw his sword, pick up the pace, and run towards the boar. As he entered a certain distance from it, the boar automatically turned to attack him. As the boar would have hit him, Kalthios would jump over the boar, sword held out below him. However, mistiming his jump, the boar would catch the edge of his foot, tipping his foot slightly. As he tries to stand, he notices a small red pixelated slash on his foot. Kalthios 0 Posted August 4, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Grumbling to himself slightly, Kalthios would rise back to his feet, lowering his stance slightly. He would once again sprint towards the boar, but this time would attempt to pass it on his right, holding his sword out in his left hand. This time, however, his move works exactly as planned. As he passes the boar, a long, thin slash opens along the boars flank. As he comes out of the semi-crouch he had put himself in for the move, Kalthios lets a quick grin flash across his face. Kalthios 0 Posted August 4, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 4, 2014 The victorious grin from the last attack fading, Kalthios would roll his shoulders slightly, prepping himself for something fancy. He would remain still, holding his sword at an angle reminiscent of a bullfighter holding a cape. As the boar charges toward him, he twirls briefly to the opposite side, delivering a slash towards the boar. As he spins, however, the boar changes its angle just enough that one of its tusks catches his outstretched arm, knocking it off course and leaving a bright red slash on his arm. Kalthios 0 Posted August 4, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Reflexively slapping a hand down on his 'bleeding' wound, he quickly sets back up for another attack. He faintly mutters to himself "Ok, Kal, keep it simple...". As the boar begins to charge again, he also charges the boar, once again passing it on his right side, holding his sword at an angle to deliver a similar slash to earlier. This time, however, it appears the boar has learned. It alters course slightly, catching the Kalthios' leg with one of its tusks. Kalthios, however, falls forward, but catching himself with a quick forward roll. Jumping back to his feet, Kalthios would nervously eye his health bar. She had originally come down here to kill a few boars and get materials, but it was plain boring. Boars were easy prey, and the materials not very worth the tedious grind. She sighed and movement off to the left caught her attention. She saw a, what appeared to be new, player getting beat by a boar. A grin played on her lips as she remembered her first boar, how she'd almost died to it, and how a player name Meggido had saved her. In fact, the situation was very similar to this one, strangely enough. She pondered helping the newbie, after all it would only cause her unnecessary work, she had no reason to save him or even care... She saw the boar charging the new player, who had his health in the red zone, and before she could even think she ran. She charged the boar and jumped in between it and the new player, taking the hit herself and falling on her butt. Kalthios 0 Posted August 4, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Kalthios would rise to his feet, sending a quick, inquisitive glance towards the newcomer, before dismissing it temporarily and focusing on the task at hand. Sending the newcomer a quick, cocky grin, he would full-on sprint towards the boar, jumping off the ground mid-run. He would slam his sword straight down into the... earth. Somehow, the boar had moved as it was about to be hit, and turned enough to deliver a sharp slash to the back of Kalthios' legs. Now watching his health bar get dangerously near 0, Kalthios would roll to his feet and hope the newcomer would help him out one more time... or several. "Stand back, I'll take care of it..." She looked to the boar, who had charged again. Shizuki Akashi 0 Posted August 4, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Shizuki gritted her teeth and kneed the Frenzy Boar under it's chin, brought the pommel of her blade down on the top of it's head, and then sliced horizontally, cutting it's lower jaw off and causing it to explode into hundreds of tiny blue shards. She turned to the newcomer and chuckled to herself. "Nearly killed you, hmm?" She tossed the newcomer the Eye of Ferocity, along with a Healing Potion. "It's a material Artisans can use to make you an accessory. Keep it until you go to an Artisan's shop, they're rare... Want the Col too? Not to look a gift horse in the mouth though, but... why did you help me?" Normally, she couldn't care less about the life of another person. In fact, outside of her family she'd only met one other person she cared about, if only a little. She shrugged before realising it was because she had been in this exact situation, and saved by someone else like her. She sheathed her sword. "That health potion heals 5 HP, I'd recommend using it. Not smart to walk around with 1 HP." She said looking away from him. "I'll help you kill some boars, get some col and materials to start off. Once we're done, I'll show you the way to a quest to get a better weapon. After that, it's up to you." She sent him a party invite. Link to post Share on other sites

Opening his inventory, he would momentarily equip the health potion, before drinking it. "Alright, much better... Now, let's get on with the hunting, shall we?" He would walk four or five steps, before halting and pivoting. "By the way... thanks. Without you back there, I'd probably be dead. So... yea. Thanks. I owe you." Right before it reached her, she sidestepped and brought her blade down on it's neck, decapitating it instantly. She kicked the head away from her a few feet before both pieces exploded into blue shards and light. "That one made me angry. let's find another." "Do we want to try to take them, or should we stick to single ones for now?" He idley begins gripping and un-gripping the handle of the sword, obviously itching to take a swing at something.
