Before SAO, Klein was your practical gamer. He casually gamed with his friends in real life before getting Nerve Gear. His social status in real life was rather.. not unique. He was a simple plain guy with an average job. When SAO was announced to the public, he was in the huge line waving at cameras. He wanted to be the first one in line but his job prevented him from staying in line overnight.

After his initial start in SAO, he was a bit dumbfounded by the unique arts of the game itself finding himself to be a noob. He needed to befriend someone who knew what they were doing.

After the announcement: Horrified at the situation, the only thing that worried on his mind were his friends that logged into the game as well. Everyone had been distraught over the announcement, some more than others. He devised a simple plan for him and his friends.

Stay together. Train. Survive.

Personality : Klein is an easy going guy. He is rather friendly to all people around him and is genuinely charismatic. However, he is known to be a ladies man hoping to be in search for his one and only. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and wishes to protect everyone in the game despite not knowing them.

.  Loyal - Klein is known to be extremely loyal. His loyalty is measured by his group of friends who entered the game and is seen worrying about them constantly. He berates players who show even the slightest of disinterest in being loyal calling them out in public. PP

.  Kind - At the drop of a hat, he defends players unknown to him when engaged in unimaginable odds. He keeps his faith by believing that he and the others are doing good by protecting all in hopes of saving them from a cruel fate dealt by this death game.

.  Brave - His view of this game had allowed him to gather the courage to fight on the front lines to defend the weak. He goes into battles willingly knowing the odds are stacked against him. For him, running is only an option when people are going to get hurt than achieving victory.

.  Reckless - His bravery can often be classified as reckless. He often lacks the logical portion of knowing to run away in certain situations especially when he's by himself and not protecting something.

.  Ladies man - This is best described as he is flirtatious. It often leads him to being first passed ad a creep even when he has good intentions.

.  Brash - His words have no bounds when faced in tight situations. He often likes to instigate things even more when in battle. This is often when in battle. He becomes arrogant trying to show off to others that he is more than capable to produce results in large scale battles.
