Zelrius 0 Posted August 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2014 Zelrius was down to the last few straws on his grand adventure. On the menu for today; the Boy would Grandmaster his sprint skill. This was unique thing to do, and to Zelrius's knowledge, no player had done thus yet. He smirked as he made his way for the first time into Floor 9. Within 5 steps of the gate Zelrius knew he'd like the place. It was a good spot for someone like him. Zelrius was quite used to the heat already from Floor 5 and Didn't mind the mood the free spirited steam had set on the place. Zelrius made his way to the closest town in order to seek out a plausible way to Grandmaster this skill. Zelrius approached the small town. All the Buildings were black, and smelt of ash. In the center of the town was a nicely sized pothole, filled with Lava. All around the NPC Villagers looked tired and just out of energy. Zelrius began to rethink his decision of moving up here. Zelrius 0 Posted August 12, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted August 12, 2014 Zelrius looked around, and saw only anger and plain exhaustion on the faces of the Villagers. Now Zelrius thought back to himself. This is how he often looked back in the old days. He was mostly scared to death of getting PKed himself, and spent many sleepless nights grinding Monsters and gaining extreme levels. Now those days were over and Zelrius was trying to complete his own grand Quest, one that would definitely benefit him and all those that came in contact with him. Zelrius had now begun to ask Villagers about the rumors of an extremely fast player that lived up on this floor, but most with shrugged or didn't give any kind of Response at all. The boy sat on a large rock in the middle of a road in the small town. Or at-least it was more or less a path without a building blocking it, Not so much a Road. Zelrius had to begin recollecting what it was that gave him all this speed to begin with.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted August 13, 2014 It all started a little bit after he had begun the game. Zelrius had locked himself in an Inn somewhere for the first few days of its beginning simply because He was afraid of being PKed. Eventually, The boy ran out of Money, and began to quickly scurry around from place to place in order to quickly kill monsters then run to the nearest town to be safe again. This went on for about a month until he gained his first few points. From then onward, Zelrius just kinda Focused on his Sprint skill. Everyday he'd take about an hour or so to sprint in between towns back and forth as fast as he could. Within time, The skill continued to rose. Eventually, he took his skill a bit differently. Actually going on quests and adventures, Zelrius ran from place to place and did little run around enemies and such.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 13, 2014 It was just then that Zelrius had figured out how to Grandmaster this skill. There was no current Grandmaster, and even if there was, They weren't able to teach it to someone. No, Zelrius would have to Grandmaster it himself. He just needed to figure out how. Zelrius would now begin several different methods. The first one being running back and forth through the town. Just trying simple technics.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Zelrius went on with this for almost an entire day. Back and forth. Up and down the small town from side to side. Nothing, Not a single hint of Increased speed. Sitting back down on his rock at the near end of the day, Zelrius was disappointed. The boy would have to call it a day and try again tomorrow. Sighing, he stood and went to the nearest inn. He bought a room and as soon as he got close enough, Just fell forward onto the bed and fell instantly asleep. It was so tiring to run at max speed all day and kind of hurt him a little since the brain still registered his energy being drained.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 13, 2014 He woke up the next Morning, Drenched in sweat. This floor really did get to him and he wasn't very happy about it. Zelrius dind't mind the heat, it was the fact That he was always sticky and sweaty. Getting up Zelrius unequipped his suit and then re equipped it so that it was emasculate for what lied ahead. The most unfortunate part about the floor was unlike Floor 5, There wasn't any wind or a single breeze. That is what made it the most unbearable. Not a single moment of relief was given to the players who dwelled here. Another reason Zelrius would be staying: Players wouldn't bother him and he could grind freely. Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Zelrius set out of the inn on the next attempt of getting Grandmaster. He would now try to use the method of Finding a single enemy and then using his sprint skill to Evade and Kill the Monster. This should be simple. Zelrius approached a nearby group of Serpents, that were charred black and had Lava Pulsing out of them. This should be interesting. Zelrius ignored the group to find a single one off by its lonesome. (Requirements: I must kill it with only being attacked once. Evasion is done at 1-8 As Master skill makes it +3 to Evasion The monster gets a roll.) Zelrius 57/57 (Serpent has burn damage. When attacked, The player will take 3 points of damage for every turn. It does a base of 2 damage.) Servant 4/
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted August 13, 2014 The serpent wasn't very pleased with the fact that in a few moments of meeting an opponent, the creature was almost dead. It attempted to snap back Zelrius's way to sink its own teeth into the boy. Zelrius was hoping he could easily complete this so that the boy would be one step closer to the GrandMaster skill. Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Zelrius merely dodged the attack with a quick side step and then once agains wung at the enemy of his. He was hoping this would end its life and bring him just that much closer to his Skill level. That would be fantastic, Being the first player to Grandmaster the Sprint skill was something Zelrius could only dream of.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Zelrius stood there panting. It wasn't the fact that the Boy was Out of Energy, It was the fact that the Hear got the better of him on this floor. This was the worst possible floor to work on Sprint skill. The floor itself warranted tons of sweat, and having to sprint around and such only brought on more warranted energy loss. Zelrius opened up his menu and checked for anything of inmprovement. Upon doing so, He did see it. He had collected 1/3 points needed to get that final skill point to grandmaster. So that was how he needed to do it.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Zelrius grinned as he saw this. He needed to fight monsters and dodge most if not all their attacks in order to master his max speed and become the fastest there ever was. He laughed to himself as he remembered a good theme song to one of his favorite tv shows: Pokemon. Focusing back on the task at hand, Zelrius looked around once again to find a single monster to hunt down and increase his Points to 2/
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Zelrius approached the single Lava Lizard and looked at it. The thing instantly turned hostile and spat a thing of fire at him. Zelrius grew wide eyed as he only had about half a second to move out of the way of the shot. Well then... Zelrius thought to himself as he swung his sword down upon the smaller creature Zelrius 57/57 Lizard 6/12 (same as previous Battle.)
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted August 13, 2014 The small lizard instatnly snapped back at Zelrius as the boy drew in. It was rather simple really. most of the monsters on this floor attacked the same way. Either they spat a hunk of burning energy at you, Or they bit you. There was also the occasional tail whack, but that happened less often then one would presume. Zelrius was ready for this to be done and over with already.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #14 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Zelrius snickered as the Lizard missed its attack and left Zelrius with a continued amount of HP. Things were gong well. Exceptionally well infact. This was going a little to Easy. Zelrius wouldn't accept his Grandmaster rank unless he earned it. and what he was currently doing just didn't feel right. Zelrius swung down once again to end this miserable fight. Zelrius 57/57 Lizard 0/12 (same as previous Battle.)
Zelrius 0 Posted August 14, 2014 Author #15 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Zelrius decided that he didn't want to earn it the easy way. No next time he would go for a bit more difficult of a challenge and certainly take it on. He milled about the 9th floor for a bit, searching for something a bit more challenging then a singular lizard or Serpent. No instead he was looking for Maybe two of em. Or a pair of the same type. No matter what, he certainly didn't want to 1v1 anything anymore.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 14, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Zelrius finally found something a little more appetizing to his current quest. Zelrius walked forth to meet the Lava parasite and Serpent on the field of battle. Zelrius still having his sword drawn , charged forward with his current speed to hit the parasite since he was unaware of its power and insisted that it must be defeated before it can make any fancy or dangerous approaches on the boy (Since there are two, I must kill with only two hits being dealt) Zelrius 57/57 Parasite 9/15 (Deal 3 damage, and 2 burn over a post) Serpent 10/10 (same as first battle)
Zelrius 0 Posted August 14, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Things were going far too swell for Zelrius as of right now. He sighed as this still seemed a little to simple for him. The Parasite basically just stood there and took the hit. None of that mattered anymore, As the Parasite leaped forward, hoping to drain the life out of its attacker. Zelrius 0 Posted August 14, 2014 Author #18 Share Posted August 14, 2014 The parasite, having missed, now backed away from Zelrius in order to avoid any reprecussions the boy may have wanted to commit follow the parasite's attack. The Serpent followed behind the Parasite an a attempt to take Zelrius's damage and bring himself one more the closer to ruining his dreams of Grandmastering it today. Zelrius 0 Posted August 14, 2014 Author #19 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Both had missed their attacks. This was good for Zelrius. Now the boy gripped his sword tightly for a moment then relaxing again He charged forward with the speed he currently possessed and attempted another attack on the Parasite in order to cut that thing down and make an effort to finalize his rank as Grandmaster. Zelrius 0 Posted August 14, 2014 Author #20 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Now Zelrius himself had missed. If his enemies could've laughed, They would have. But being computer programs, they lacked that function within. It was great really. This battle was what Zelrius needed. It was bit more intense then the previous two and made Zelrius feel better about gaining the rank he was attempting to get currently. The Parasite jumped back to once again attack Zelrius.
