Zelrius 0 Posted August 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2014 Zelrius had made a long trek to make it where he was now. This was it. The final straw of his grand Solo adventure of redemption and searching for "himself". As Cliche as it sounded, That was in fact what Zelrius had been doing this whole time. Having Journeyed across every floor far and wide that had thus far been discovered, the Immortal Narcissist as he would now use that title in place of the Blood Buccaneer, Zelrius ended back up on the fifth floor. This was the place he had called home for such a long time, but knew for a damned fact that had to stop. Zelrius just wouldn't be able to sleep in the same Inn the Blood Buccaneer did. He wouldn't be able to work the shop the Emperor of Mavericks had opened. In no way could he even sit on the bench in the City square as the Maverick had done so often on those slow and boring days. This would be the last time Zelrius would walk the streets of <> Zelrius was going to finish what he needed done.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 15, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted August 15, 2014 So Zelrius walked down the streets as he had done so many times before. But as he did so, The area didn't feel familiar. It had lost its sense of "Home" to it. Zelrius made wrong turns at bad streets and sometimes ended up in alley ways. These mistakes, as dumb and subtle as they may seem, made Zelrius realize that he was right; He no longer belonged here. He shook his head. Zelrius could not believe how foreign the city seemed now even though it had only been a month or so since he had seen the place. Zelrius had finally found the main square of the city. This part of the city didn't resemble a square at all, It was a completely evenly round circle, He supposed that everyone just used the term "City Square" meaning center of town where everything flows in and out of. Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Zelrius walked down the Plaza in a brisk pace. Most of the players and NPCs gathered there simply made room for him to walk as they saw purpose in his steps. Zelrius reached the tower that was the marker of the Center of the Flaming City of Ignius. Here he was again, and for the final time, Zelrius reached out and touched the Tower. Then turned around to see who he was orginally looking for. As it turns out, The NPC had found him instead. That was okay for Zelrius, as long as they get this show on the road. Most of the players gathered were staring now, As they knew exactly who this NPC was and why he had come to meet Zelrius here in the Plaza of Ignius. Without any words being traded, the NPC sent a deul request, The Immortal Narcissist accepted, and they drew their matching Curved Blades. (--OOC This is a Duel, THerefore if HP hits Zero, Zelrius will not die but simply fail Grandmastering the Curved sword Skill) (Due to my Sprint, The Grandmaster can only hit me on a 9 or 10) Zelrius 59/59 (7 Damage) Grandmaster 80/80 (Weapon: Cervous (10 Damage, On a roll of 10, 3 HP Drain.) Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Zelrius took the first swing. He moved his feet about sideways then turned and spun around in an effort to not only taking the first move but also stealing first hit. He'd need all the attacks possible he could hit on this man, The HP difference was certainly there and visible. In perspective of someone watching, It isn't that much of a difference at all. But from Zelrius's Point of View, The amount of HP this man had on him was deafening. Zelrius 59/59 GrandMaster 73/
Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted August 16, 2014 This man Zelrius referred to as "The GrandMaster" was quite impressed with the arrogant bastard's Speed and intiative. However, He was not going to stop no matter how intriguing the boy seemed. The Grandmaster swung back, Using his own unique AI system to calculate the best possible solution to his problems. This one being a little bit of a step forward then a leap to bring the sword down upon this boy.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Zelrius's eyes widened as he managed to barely hop out of the way of the oncoming attack the Grandmaster threw his way. This narcissist wasn't going to be stopped that easily, But it made him realize just how quick and powerful this NPC was aswell. Zelrius knew this was going to be a close fight and the odds were against him, However, He could not give up now. Zelrius took Sange in a tighter grip and swung at waist height at the Grandmaster. Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted August 16, 2014 The Grandmaster lifted his eyebrows in question of what Zelrius had just done. He tried to retaliate as soon as Sange struck him, But found he could not do so. Looking into his Buffs and Debuffs, The NPC noticed he was paralyzed. Of Course it wouldn't last very long, He could see that much, But nevertheless, It was plenty long enough for Zelrius to throw another swing The NPC's way.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Zelrius wasted no time of the Parlysis to mope around or Gloat. Instead taking Sange once more, Zelrius swung at the Grandmaster again, Making an effective hit. Paralysis was a good thing in SAO, No dodge, makes for easy damage. Some people even considered it a cheat or broken system, Zelrius thought that it was just a tactical advantge over the Enemy. Whatever the case, It had helped him in the past a ton. Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted August 16, 2014 The Grandmaster now lost one of his many advantages over Zelrius. The one he lost being his HP. Now Zelrius is only slightly above the Grandmaster, but again, Every little bit helps. Now that the paralysis had disappeared, The Grandmaster took his own swing at Zelrius. He swung from up to down, in a fashion that would cut people in half in the real world, Hoping that this would take down the ego of this boy some. Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Zelrius watched as his Health bar lost a ton of its juice in one simple attack from the Grandmaster. Then something else caught the Ex-Blood Buccaner's eye; The Grandmaster's Health bar refilled slightly. He was now back at an earlier advantage that he had just lost. This battle wasn't going to be long. But it certainly had just proven to be very difficult for both sides. Zelrius retailiated with a swing mimicking the Grandmaster's
Zelrius 0 Posted August 16, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Anticpating this move, The grandmaster jumped backwards to avoid the attack. Now the crowd in the Plaza began to get a tiny bit interested in the duel. This was shaping up to become a quite heated battle in the small amount of time since it had begun. They were trading blows back and forth and hitting eachother tremdously. Now the Grandmaster used his time to attack Zelrius once more.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Zelrius knew the instant his sword didn't meet the mark he had wanted it to, That he needed to move himself to avoid getting struck again by that god awful sword the Grandmaster had. Zelrius had successfully managed to dodge that attack and once again made another of his own. If this could get another paralyze, It would ensure his victory as the Grandmaster would be far down below Zelrius.
Zelrius 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted August 17, 2014 The grandmaster knew this battle was already beginning to cool down from the intial heat. Zelrius noticed this too, and then the Grandmaster had a glint in his step. The glint of boredom as well. The Grandmaster had become bored with this battle as it was and was going to very quickly lose interest. The Grandmaster threw his sword toward Zelrius, Forcing his full body forth toward the Boy. Zelrius 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #14 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Zelrius noticed the loss of interest and also noticed how it seriously slowed down The Grandmaster's Reaction time. Zelrius himself backed up and notice the crowd start to revert to their normal ongoings as the Battle had lost some intruge. Zelrius sighed and as he dodged the Grandmaster's attack, Made his own. Now the narcissism was on the Boy's face. His arrogant smile showing the he was rather cofident in the victory ahead. Zelrius 49/59 GrandMaster 51/
Zelrius 0 Posted August 17, 2014 Author #15 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Once the attack had landed The Grandmaster tried to retaliate immediately. This did not work, as now the old man was paralyzed by the strike of this Arrogant boy's attack. He grinned, Zelrius certainly had a good amount of intaitive about him and this battle was shaping up quite nicely. The Grandmaster only watched the arrogant boy make his next attack as the Grandmaster was now paralyzed.
