Fae smiled and twirled around to face her new friend, the long pieces of cloth on the mottled green cloak she wore briefly blowing out to look like wings before settling back down again. "I've always been pretty lucky, my dad always said I had the luck of the Fae." Fae's smile grew bigger as she continued walking backwards through the gates of the Town of Beginnings "I've always loved nature and exploring the wilderness, so I'm glad you think i'll be able to put some of that to use in the frontlines."

The Town of Beginnings wasn't busy, most players having moved to higher floors as they were unlocked, vying for properties in the more luxurious cities in Aincrad, and finding the way to the shop of one Zachariah was easy as the pair made their way through town. The shop wasn't big, a humble thing that smelled of fondue and various herbs with a long haired man well beyond middle aged manning the counter, vials of various shapes, sizes and contents littering the shop. "Ah, adventurer." the croaky voice of Zackariah, the proprietor of the small potion shop rang out as the door closed behind Fae and Nari "I didn't expect you back so soon, I hope getting those herbs was of no trouble." The elderly man stood from his seat, back arched as he relied heavily on his walking stick to amble up to the pair accepting the herbs from Fae in a leathery wrinkled hand nodding "Yes, yes, these will do nicely." he quickly eyed the herbs before pocketing them in his robe and turning around before softly exclaiming like he had just remembered something and rummaging through one of the shelves. "I just remembered, your question from earlier, no I am not the man Dorian loaned anything to. Just like him to lose track. I would check with Lyle Tealeaf, just a block over, he and the mayor have been speaking quite frequently as of late. Ah, here it is!" Zackariah turned back towards the pair and held out a potion for Fae to take "I'ts nothing much, just a potion an apprentice of mine made. Consider it a thank you for the herbs. Now go, shoo, I have work to do and I can't have you young'uns interrupting me all the time."

Fae let herself be pushed out of the little shop, reeling in confusion as she blinked, standing with the potion in her hand. "What? The quest isn't over?" Fae pocketed the potion before looking at her companion for this journey so far. "I guess those drinks will have to wait. Care to join me?" Fae didn't actually wait for response, making her way in the direction that Zackariah had indicated they could find Lyle.

Nari had followed Fae's retreat back to the city with a measure of exhaustion and happiness, her expression both distant and somewhat still concerned until they had passed through the gates. She'd smiled slightly at the mention of Fae's luck, chuckling as she considered the fact that she'd been stated to have the luck of the fae; a fact that Nari wasn't entirely sure was such a compliment in earnest. Still, the girl seemed happy, and Nari didn't want to ruin the moment by correcting anything. Keeping her mouth shut, she trailed behind as they made their way back to the alchemist, stepping after Fae in a way that kept her one pace behind at all times.

"I see the shop hasn't changed much..." Nari noted as she stepped in after Fae, standing off to the side as the girl procured the materials and worked on completing the quest itself. She was shocked with how much Zackariah had to say, noting the oddity only after it had occurred. But as there was mention of having to head to Lyle immediately, Nari found herself cocking her head in surprise. "Really...? That's unusual...I wonder if there was another change, that I missed..."

Her expression seemed disturbed by the thought, and she fell silent as she considered the whole thing. It was moments later before she realised that Fae was still waiting on an answer, one that she leapt to give as she saw her own insulting actions. "Oh, yeah! For sure I can tag along. I was just shocked that it didn't complete here...do you think it's going to run us through all three steps now?"

Fae rubbed the back of her neck as she looked around in the direction that Lyle's shop was supposed to be "Honestly, I didn't even know that this quest had more than one part. I sort of just ran into it on accident, and then found you." Fae began walking shaking her head "I mean, I guess it makes sense, it would be weird if this was where the quest ended, what with Zackariah telling us to go somewhere else."

Fae shrugged as the sounds of something striking metal grew louder and louder until she found herself standing in front of another small shop, this one clearly belonging to Lyle as the sounds were almost impossible to hear over. Fae looked over at Nari and nodded before opening the door, a gruff looking elderly man standing in front of an anvil, not pausing to look up "I'm busy." the terse voice could barely be heard over the sound of the hammer ringing against the anvil. "Zackariah sent us" Fae began talking but was quickly cut off as Lyle stopped hammering and finally looked up. "Look here, I don't do anything for free, and that includes talking to the likes of you." Lyle looked the pair up and down seeming to consider for a moment before continuing "You look like you might barely be able to handle yourselves out there, so i'll tell you what, you go out there and bring me some boarlet tusks and I might consider talking to you." Lyle's interest in the companions seemed to disappear as soon as he was done speaking, his hammer lifting again and going back to work brokering no room for argument. Fae made her way back outside speaking loudly to be heard over the sound of the hammering "I guess we have to go on another errand. At least these boarlets are weaker than the ones we fought earlier, it should go quickly." Fae smiled at her companion not fully hiding the shakiness that she felt at the idea of even a small fight after the events from earlier.

She had sighed heavily as they'd made their way back out, knowing that she had just signed on for a long day. Not that she had much else going on, and yet somehow she would've preferred to be given the option. Realising how it must have looked to the other player belatedly, she gave a soft smile and a shake of her head. Waving her hand, she tried to alleviate any ill air that she'd just created between the two of them with her response. "Last time I did this, it was a piecemeal quest. I guess it's nice that Cardinal adjusted that, it's just...it would be nice to get warnings, you know? Although...honestly, good chance I missed the update notice. It happens."

She tilted her head slightly as she considered the fact that she may have actually missed the notice, before shaking her head once more. There was nothing else to consider, other than the fact that they needed to complete the quest - and from the way things were going, likely all three parts of it. "Alright, lead on. Lyle awaits!"

She followed a pace behind Fae as they made their way through the town, her eyes scanning the area in a lazily manner as she tried to spy out more shops of interest. She noted that the town had changed a fair amount since she'd last been here, somehow feeling similar and different all at the same time. She waited patiently as Fae spoke with Lyle, the hammer sounds echoing in her ears even after they had stopped; a stark reminder of her very first career in Aincrad.

"Hmm...yeah the boarlets should be a lot easier, compared to the boars we had fought earlier. At least...they were when I did this quest. And besides, this time we're doing a different approach..." She gave a slight tap of her scythe against the ground, nodding to Fae in a knowing manner. "I'm going to join the fight with you, so that they hopefully focus on me, instead of you...or so that I can react a bit quicker. No point in me standing way off to the side while you do all the fighting. And no arguments."
