[SP-F5] More Training

Seldentar appears in the Desert of floor 5 in a flash of blue light, dusting his coat off and looking around. He had been searching every floor, and now it was time for this one. Hopefully here he would find the answers he sought. Moving into the desert, he began to search for a powerful foe.

As he moves, he makes sure not to hide or conceal his presence. He wanted to be found, and wanted to be seen today. Drawing his blood red sword, he prepares to begin fighting. Targetting a large scorpion, he dashes forward, his blade ready as he prepares to cut it down. With a powerful swing, he slashes into the hard carapace of the scorpion, its armored plating slashed into, a red gash forming as Seldentar rips into its hit points, depleting them to the red in his opening attack.

"Cmon, show me what you got!"

Seldentar sees the scorpion raise its large claw, and brings his blade around, parrying the shot at the last second as its razor sharp claw tried to cut him in half. With all of his strength he deflects the claw out and downwards, away from him.

"Thats the spirit, lets make this good."

Bringing his blade up again, he jumps up, and as he heads down at the scorpion, drives his blade downward at its back. He buries his blade deep into the monster, stabbing it again and again until it explodes. Tumbling as he hits the ground, he dusts himself off before checking the victory window.

"Huh, stingers eh? Can probably make weapons out of these, like the one I made for Trinoko a few months ago."

He stands up, looking out across the desert. Somewhere out there was the foe he was looking for. Somewhere, was a challenge worth fighting, an enemy worth risking everything to fight. And he was going to keep searching until he found it.

The ground beneath him begins to shake, as a giant scorpion begins to shake and appear as it digs its way out of the ground. Seldentars eyes go wide as he sees the beast, and raises his sword. This wouldn't be as easy as the last, but he was sure he could take it. Charging his <> skill, he rushes forward, blade held out as he lunges. Ducking under its giant claw, his blade shining, he pierces its outer shell with expert speed and skill. As he watches a third of its hit points deplete, he smiles satisfied.

Seldentar sees out of the corner of his eye the other claw coming around, and jumps up to avoid it. As it whizzes past beneath him, he lands on the ground to its side, tumbling on the ground. As the giant scorpion begins to turn with amazing speed, he frowns.

"Damn, I think I seriously pissed this thing off."

Blade held tightly, he charges forward again, ducking and dodging around claw strikes as he brings his blade up at the scorpions head. Jumping as he swings upward, he slashes again deep into the monster, his months of training in one handed sword use finally paying off as he watches another third of the monsters hit points vanish.

"Yeah! Take that!"

He laughs after shouting as he hits the ground. This beast was already down over half of its hit points. One, maybe two more attacks would finish it off for good.

Seldentar moves in for the kill, overconfident in his abilities now. He was fighting on floor five, when the monsters of floor 9 barely gave him a moments hesitation. Even that boss level golem he had to fight solo he had bested. What down here could match his skill? Distracted, he fails to notice the large claw swiping at him this time. Feeling the impact, he gets thrown several feet, his armor absorbing the damage, but his attack grossly missing his target. Standing back up, he shakes his head.

"Alright...no more distractions. This is it scorpion, you're going down!"

Seldentar leaps into the air as the scorpion rushes him again. As he raises through the air, he brings his blade left, then right, to deflect both shots of the monsters claws. As both claws get batted away, he lowers his arm straight at the monster, and jabs forward. The motion triggers his sword skill, the <>. Suspended mid air, his arm begins to jab repeatedly, 5 powerful thrusts into the monsters face. His blade swings up slashing upwards into the monsters face after all 5 jabs are finished. With two hits left, he brings his blade back down, slashing leaving a second mark on its face. With a final upper slash, his sword rips through the monsters head again, before the system assistance ends, and he resumes falling back to the ground. He stares up in amazement, as the monster takes all of his attacks, surviving with a sliver of hit points left.

"Unbelievable, I can't believe you survived that. Still, with such a powerful foe i am fighting, surely you can help lure my prey out of hiding!"

The monster roared out as his 8 hit combo devastated its remaining hit points. Enraged, it charges forward at him again. He holds his blade at the ready, holding his breath to focus on the attack. As the enemy comes into range, he begins to run forward. As its claw swings at him, he ducks, dropping into a slide, skidding a few feet through the sand. Even as he comes to a stop beneath the giant scorpion, he swings his blade up and slashes at its underbelly, depleting the remainder of its hit points. Watching it explode into nothing, he stands back up, satisfied. He again turns, looking out and around.

"Im getting tired of this! Show yourself!"
