Sorun 0 Posted September 15, 2024 Author #21 Share Posted September 15, 2024 (edited) Sorun began hearing the noises of a struggle. Seems that while Hana had definitely taken the opportunity to attack while the boar was knocked prone, it seemed that the monster was lucky enough to dodge the attack just in time. That near miss wasn't the end of Hana's misfortune, however, as the boar chonkernaut proceeded to move backwards instead of forwards... "Wait...what's it doing?" Sorun thought. Soon, it tried to disarm Hana again, but she held onto her weapon firmly...too firmly, unfortunately, as the boar was persistent enough to not care that it lifted Hana off the ground, no, it went all the way and flung her into a tree. Sorun wanted this to be Hana's kill, but who said someone else can't distract it by roughing it up and giving it a reason to not pay attention? Sorun waved his arms about. "Hey fatass, over here!" Well, that certainly got its attention, based on the death stare the monster gave Sorun. It charged after him while squealing furiously. Sorun positioned his axe to block. The two combatants were in a lock, but Sorun managed to hold onto the advantage for the time being. Almina 0 Posted January 30 #22 Share Posted January 30 (edited) Almina got up, and saw that Aidan was in lock with the monster. Well, she had to do something. Leaving Aidan to fight the monster wasn't what she intended, and all this constant failure to damage one monster was getting out of hand. What level even was this thing? Its cursor was definitely a darker red than the other boars' cursors. Even one simple swing wasn't cutting it, it was like it anticipated her every move. Should she have practiced more in case something like SAO happened? Some training could really have saved her hide before the inevitable...but alas, here she was, lacking experience. This chonky boar was proving to be a real harsh lesson at the moment...a lesson in opponents that can predict most moves...that Almina knew, anyway. Even the latest attempt failed. Almina tried to attack from behind as the monster was locked with Aidan, but it simply kicked back with its hind legs to deflect the weapon, then spun around, knocking both players back.
