[BR-F27] Paving the Way to Floor 28 [Team Nari-Lanreth]

In the beginning, there was darkness. Nothingness. The void consumed all, and thus in paradoxical creation, it brought all together. From darkness sprang the light, and all things bathed in that radiance took form. Against that unwanted creation, Darkness Raged.

That ephemeral hatred gave rise to a blasphemy, a creature that mirrored the elements that sprang forth from the void, a vengeful mockery of the powers that gave life. The origin of life, and it's inevitable end. Wushen, the Warlord of the Elements.

Long since sealed, the manner in which his miasma was brought to heel has been lost to time, but one thing is certain: the seal has broken, and his return is upon you.

With some help from the Players, the way has opened.

That which was long forgotten has manifested. It's insatiable desire to Return All to Nothingness stands between you and freedom. \

As you enter the heart of darkness within all of that brilliant light, his gaze strikes you, but he does not see you. You are beneath contempt. Wushen sees ants to be stomped beneath his crushing claws, ashes to be smote upon crumbling mountains. His infinite vacant stare perceives only the inevitable, and he cannot comprehend anything but the end that he seeks.

The End of All Things.

Coiled above you, around you, his head dips low as he watches boundless infinity stretch on forever, waiting. He is a black hole, drawing in color, soaking up all of the light. He is hungry only to deprive you. He thirsts only to dry up your hopes. 

Around him, as you look more closely, orbs rotate in an orbit, almost like he is the center of his own galaxy. They burn low with strange hues, vaguely reminiscent of… something… familiar.

But what?

Take up your swords, brave warriors, and fight for your lives.

Because Wushen will not hesitate to take them from you.

Petty:

• Using [Delay] sword arts (Does not stack) will reduce the next BD 9-10 effect that a head will produce to BD:10 only, making a BD: 9 a normal attack.
• In addition, a player using a Mass Healing Crystal without any hatred generation skills/enhancements gain +2 Hatred.

Beyond Care:

• Each round at the start of the bosses turn before its post action, the highest hate from each group decays by -1. In the event of a draw then this ability targets the player that has any hatred generation skills/enhancements. If none is present it will be the last player to generate hatred outside of attacking.
• In addition, every successful attack against the player with the highest hate reduces their hatred by -2

Larger than Life:

• DoT’s last half as long.

Gridlock:

• When reaching 50% of its total HP, further damage is ignored until it transitions to phase 2. Transitioning to phase 2 consumes its post action.

                               There was no turning back, was there? She was here now, and now she must fight for not only her life, but the lives of the others around her. The welfare of many depended on the result of this battle, so she intended to win it. To do so, she will need to play her part and make sure everyone makes it out alive. The duty of Support had the chance to become a heavy, burdensome yoke, but that would depend on the actions the players took.

                   As the malicious Wyrm loomed overhead, looking upon the players as though they were mere pests, a fierce, imminent battle about to begin, the Princess had to prepare her allies for the inevitable clash. Her weapon had yet to be drawn, for she would not need it unless absolutely necessary. She held herself steadfast, and focused her energy towards a skill of hers. Her hands were enveloped in a soft light, and she took a deep breath.

                  "May divine light guide and protect us all!" Krysta called out as the skill activated. All six players in the party were then enveloped by a soft blue luminosity, as the Barrier effect began. "I shall continue to assist when you need me. It's all you now, go forth, and together we shall win this battle!" She added, hoping to encourage the players, including the party's leader.

She could only hope that she and her fellow players were ready.

[Vigilon 0]

                                A Lungwyrm; A dragon of Asian folktales.

           Honestly, given this game's point of origin and the factor of the Wuxing being at play, Vigilon should have expected this. However, little did the boss know that there was more than one dragon in the room(figuratively, of course).

               This was Vigilon's first time in a Floor Boss raid. Every decision counted. Krysta would activate Barrier, which would allow the players some room for trial and error for a short time. While the party leader was Nari, Krysta still felt the need to encourage and spur on the party as a whole. Vigilon was perfectly fine with it, however, as they were all a team; in this together. "You've got it, Krysta!" Vigilon replied. It was time to get this show on the road...

                          Vigilon held a firm grip on his weapon, Kyrkuran, and sped over to the boss, striking the monster with his sword art. This would only be the first of many hits, and given that this was a raid boss, it was probably going to take some time and improvising to get it right. All he could hope was that he was enough to play his part.

Shortly after entering the room, Jomei noticed @Lessa standing off to the side, seemingly checking over her equipment. With another nod in Nari's direction, he would cross the cavern to where she stood speaking softly to herself. "Hey, you alright?" his voice hushed, only for her to hear. His hand gently placed on her bicep. "We've got this." he said with an added smile. Hand placement lingered for a moment, despite his eyes which had drifted from hers for a moment, returning a couple of seconds later. Mouth opened to speak, but before words could be formed. His attention was yanked from the blonde to the form of a large, serpentine head slowly emerging from the ceilings high above. The time for talk was over, and the fight had officially begun. 

With a hand reached across his waist, Jomei yanked his rapier from its scabbard and held it at the ready by his side. Eyes quickly scanned the boss for an opening, though no weak spots jumped out at him. When in doubt, just hit what you can. Looking back to the blonde, there was a lot he wanted to say. To encourage, to help give them something to fight for. But.. the anxiety of the fight took over, and all those thoughts vanished. "I believe in you." he simply said to her, as his rapier ignited in a holy, golden flame.

Shooting forth in a blur of green, Jomei rushed at the draconic form of Wushen as they continued to descend towards the ground to meet the players head on. With a powerful leap, the ginger launched himself into the air, the rip of his rapier hitting its cheek, cutting deep through the darkened scales. Hitting the ground with a roll, and coming to a stop in a three point landing, he would spin on his knee and look back to the status bar above the boss' head.

"Hit him now, while his mitigation is compromised! We've done this before and we will do it again! Fight until its no more!"

The doors had opened, and revealed the challenge that laid ahead of them. Nari would be lying if she said she didn't feel her nerves on edge; the way in which her pulse had suddenly dropped a sign that her mind and her virtual body were reacting to the threat that they now faced. As it always did, she felt that calmness come over her whenever she entered a fight - the fear not gone, but somehow ignored, as if it weren't important in the moment. She felt herself pause at the entryway, her mind wrestling with the realisation that she was finally here, her first actual conflict on the frontlines - her first real, dangerous encounter. The reason we've come all this way...done so much.

The others had begun to move - their time on the frontlines giving them little to no hesitation in what needed to be done. Rushing forwards to face the overbearing dragon as if it were nothing more than one of the other mobs they had faced on their path here. Nari couldn't help but admire their bravery, their ability to step forward without thought or restriction. 

A soft sigh, and then she was moving forwards - mere seconds had passed since the doors had opened, long enough for the others to rush forwards but not so long that the battle had truly began in earnest - and Nari found herself easily making her way towards the front with her quick steps. She braced herself, bringing her shield up in front of her and lining up her spear along it's top edge - an old stance that somehow felt entirely right, regardless of how long it had been. 

Activating the skill which would draw attention to her, Nari called out into the room, not caring who heard her, or how silly it might sound in hindsight. She'd let the adrenaline and it's related effects take over, throwing her normal caution and carefulness to the wind as she tried her best to keep up with the others around her. "We've come all this way, fought all this time. We stand before a dragon of might and mercilessness...show it that it's not the only one. Show it that we are stronger, together, united against it's threat - and return it back to whatever level of the nine hells it spawned from! May our shields lock against any brutality it attempts against us, so that our swords and hammers may cut and smash away it's cruel existence. Bring freedom, prosperity and righteousness against it's presence! For our freedom, and the freedom of those who have been lost behind us - for those who are still waiting on us...together!"

Stepping forward, Ariel couldn't help but let out a loud giggle at the sight of the dragon? Not too long ago they slayed a similar beast controlled by a 'god'. Brandishing the proof of her triumph in her hand, a dragon's fang fashioned in the form of a katana, she would put it to good use against its own kind. Others steered into motion against their foe, she would follow suit.

"Your cousin, Nihilim, sends his regards!" she added with a smirk as she left a wide cut on the dragon's neck. It felt weird... having her trademark skill disabled here. Yet she would adapt to the current conditions and improvise her style based on her experiences, the core of her digital reward.

Good thing that Ariel was already midway towards her objective as she heard the bold speech from their shield maiden behind her. The blonde couldn't help roll her eyes and wonder if it was meant to reassure the others or herself... probably both. Still, maybe some of the new blood could use the pep talk... probably...

His voice startled her out of her scheming, and Lessa nearly leapt out of her armor. "Oh," she replied dumbly, before feeling a grin spread across her flushed face. "Yeah, I'm alright. I'm good. Just thinking." Her gaze left his face to scan their surroundings, taking in the crystals, the cavern, and the other Players. If she didn't know the truth, it might look like a neat place for a rave. There were certainly enough lights and colors. But unfortunately, she did know the truth. And despite everything, even Jomei's sturdy presence at her side, her stomach flipped.

"It's so weird," she stated suddenly. "I mean, look at everyone. Chatting, laughing, snagging food from NIGHT's fold-up table like this was some sort of college party. But it's a boss fight." Her tone darkened as she concluded, "People could die in the next few minutes."

Before silence could fall between them for too long, she added, "But hey, they won't. They could, but they won't, right?" When her gaze found his again, only a trace of the darkness lingered in her lake-blue eyes. "Because yeah, we've got this."

As he moved away, he left her with parting words that seized her heart like a vice. 

I believe in you.

"I won't let you down," she breathed to his retreating form, but if he heard, he gave no indication.

As the dragon emerged, and drew high above them, Lessa drew her own sword in a flash of color and a hiss of metal. She let Nari's pep-talk wash over her, the words a cold rain against the mounting fire of nerves in her gut. "Together!" she heard herself echo, pushing off her back foot to launch herself toward the boss. All around her, other Players did the same; they swept toward the Warlord like a tidal wave. Whether they might be that powerful, or that deadly, would be decided over the next few minutes.

"I'll try to use a delay on it," Lessa called to her party, "see if I can't get it to slip up." Would a single hit be enough to slow something the size of a small skyscraper? She'd have to find out. Lunging forward, Lessa dropped to one knee, and sliced at the space where the snake's body met the ground. She figured she couldn't actually 'take it out at the knees,' since it didn't have any, but this was a close second. "Come on," she growled through gritted teeth.

Its ruminations were disrupted. 

The beast could feel them on all sides, but until that precise moment, it had considered them unnecessary to regard. Suddenly, the silence was filled with… noise.

Wushen reared its head and its lambent, pupil-less gaze strained in desperation to isolate the source of all of the sound. Myriad faceless vermin swarming beneath it offered distinguishable discord, but one Harpy's shrill cry irritated above the rest. Where until this point nothing had garnered attention, now Wushen glowered directly down at Nari. Power coalesced around the Avatar of Annihilation, reds, blues, whites, greens- and converged at a focal point, twisting together in a black so deep it swallowed them all.

The ball of malice went hurtling downward toward the eager tank, plummeting into the ground, the woman, and everything around for several meters. The impact came like several tons of metal colliding with cement at top speed.

Chunks of dirt and stone blasted apart like shrapnel toward the Players around the object of its attention- former object, perhaps- as it slowly turned its gaze away, seeking only to return to stagnation.

A hand rose to his face as stone and dust rocketed in his direction, Nari standing at ground zero for the impact. The boss seemed unphased by their attacks, more pestered than anything. That powerful blast its own, psychotic way of saying 'shut up, lay down, and accept defeat.' Of course, they didn't have it in them to just give up. The ginger's eyes focused on the rising dust as it began to dissipate, revealing Nari.. nearly unscathed. Either her armor was much stronger than expected... or Wushen's attack was not at all powerful. 

It left Jomei curious, but now was not the time for that. He needed to take this opportunity to give it everything he had. With a sharp whistle, the ginger called his aviary companion to his shoulder. "Alright, lets take him together. I'll head in first, you follow. Got it?" The owl screeched in response.. Jomei could not smile and nod at that. "Go!" he shouted, and he and Adere rushed towards the towering form of Wushen. Weaving around the colored stalagmites that rose from the ground, Jomei used one with less of a steep slope to his advantage. Rushing up the side of the rock's surface, he'd throw himself into the air and readied his blade. One, two strikes in the shape of an X, followed by a powerful thrust right into the center that sent out a dispelled a powerful shockwave at the point of impact. "Right there! Hit him there!" he yelled to his familiar as he dropped to the ground, watching as Adere flew in after him to deal some extra damage where he had broken through its scaly hide.

Nari lowered the shield as the blast dissipated around her, the dust slowly settling to reveal that she was, for all intents and purposes, still alive. She felt her own shock and awe at how little the attack had actually done - a testament to her shield and armour, or a sign that Wushen's attacks really weren't as dangerous as they appeared to be? - but found herself drawn out of her lull as Jomei charged forwards once more. 

Not to be outdone, Nari shifted her spear back into position, considering her options quickly even as she called out to the others in the hopes of finding something that would work. "Right. Jomei, keep being awesome! Krysta - maintain a stance on protecting and healing, but don't burn yourself out yet. This could be a long fight, and energy consumption may be important...don't heal anyone unless it's obvious that they're in danger. Focus on providing energy support if you can. I really should've looked into everyone's abilities more. Lessa, Ariel, Vigilon - single target attacks if you're able to, spread out your assaults and either go for high damage, or technicals that can effect statuses...or both, preferably." 

She paused as Jomei struck the dragon-like creature, watching as the small companion laid its own assault against it's larger, scaled cousin. "I'm going to try focusing on damage reduction and keeping it's attention on me...if you've got any tech-skills for stunning, or burning the shit out of it...try those! Actually...Lessa, hit it with Delay again, that seemed to do something. I think."

She didn't look to see if the others were listening, instead pushing herself forwards and driving her spear towards the creature, hoping that she could simply keep it's focus on her for the moment.

[Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0]

A huge blast came their way, fortunately easily avoidable for the cloth armour user and most of her team. Except their tank that took it head on and got out of it without a scratch. Ariel couldn't help but smile as the defying silhouette reminded her of an old friend on blue. She raised two fingers next to her head and lightly wave in acknowledgement of her request, then prepared for her next attack. Now that she took all the precautions needed, she could focus on setting up to deal some real damage like the rest. Luckily they were against a static target that didn't seem overly interested in giving them a challenge more than it's mere presence. They only patch she saw was to keep hacking at the boss until they hit a nerve or something. She went full speed, as much as she could muster without any type of system assistance, and once more left a large gash on the dragon's skin. It was reassuring to see that even in these conditions, her upgraded weapon would still faithfully server her.

       The Shadow Lungwyrm nearly paid no mind as it basically swatted at the players. Would anything ever be enough? The players were surviving pretty easily so far, but...

                       This thing wasn't like anything else in Aincrad that he'd fought before. This impression wasn't from stats, not yet, anyway...but it was more about this creature's behavior, the way it carried itself...its absolute...indifference. In this beast, there was...nothing. Void.
               This monster, Wushen, was titled "Elemental Warlord", based on the name displayed above the HP Bars above its head, not that Vigilon was able to see it easily. This monster confused him. Was this boss an incarnation of elemental forces, an incarnation of void that used elemental forces? The boss did not speak, so Vigilon had yet to know anything about it, other than its name, combat tactics, and temperament so far.

             Nari called out her orders, and it was Vigilon's luck that he had the sword art he needed for this scenario. He charged up his sword art, which currently varied based on what power was currently flowing through his weapon at levels that resulted in a surge of power upon a successful hit. He took a deep breath, as his weapon began to glow both a deep violet and a burning red, laced with traces of dark energy. "Kyrkuran...zyn gre zhal xe shiul vyeil natho!" He knew not what he spoke, but he had heard the words before, and knew they were linked to his weapon somehow. When he spoke them, he felt a deep shadow within both the weapon and himself. Was this common with Kyrkuran, especially now that it was restored to its original power?
                       His Sword Art ready, he made way for the Lungwyrm, and with a flurry of strikes, digging his weapon into his foe with each hit, as the fallen energy surged throughout the attack, blasting when he finished the sword art with a forceful, focused strike.

             "Maybe this could be enough to at least leave a dent in its HP..." He thought, and hoped.

                         The boss seemed to behave as though the players were nothing. At the rate things were going so far, it may be possible to prove the dark void dragon to be wrong.
         Of course, there was only one way to be certain.

  Everyone was fine, nothing had gone wrong yet. So then, what could Krysta do? There was no healing to be done, and her barrier was on cooldown. There were no ailments to be purified, either. Krysta looked to her weapon, which still had yet to be drawn in this battle. Nari then called out orders for the party. She told Krysta to keep her actions limited to support, but to avoid healing unless someone was in danger. She added that the battle may be long, and thus energy consumption will need to be dealt with, that Krysta should try to focus on energy support.

              Krysta blinked, her expression blank as she stared mildly at the tank. "...I do not have energy transfer skills." She responded plainly. She was not a full supporter like Nari might be used to. Krysta lacked the skill points required for energize and hyperactive...in fact, she was struggling to keep the best of both builds, while also trying to net herself a skill in hopes of keeping herself alive, along with everyone else. There was nothing she could do here.

     Therefore, she would need to adjust her position as she tried to get a better look at this monster. Because she kept her gaze to the beast, however, she did not watch her footing, and tripped over a stray stone or crystal. She got back up, frustrated at the situation. She wasn't supposed to be helpless in times like these, she was supposed to help everyone, she was supposed to do her duty. She had chosen this path long ago, after all.

[Lessa 1]

With her gauntleted hand, Lessa snapped Nari a smart salute. A hard, fast, single-target attack was something that she was more than capable of. In fact, that was exactly why she'd chosen the ST Shift Specialty to begin with. There were certainly days when she wished for more AoE damage - wiping out waves of mobs while grinding would be super convenient. But at that moment, she was more than satisfied with her decision.

At Krysta's mention of energy, Lessa let her gaze flick up to her energy bar. When it only crept up the slightest bit, she blew out a hard breath. No recovery proc, she decided. Only passive energy regain. "That's alright," she heard herself say, both to herself, and to their healer. "We'll be alright. We'll just try to be conscious of our energy usage." She risked a quick glance over her shoulder, flashing the fellow blonde a small smile. "Your healing will be more than enough, when the time comes."

Hefting her massive sword, Lessa squared off against the floating Avatar worm. It's last attack had scattered rocks across their party, and she kicked at one with the toe of her boot as she stroke forward. "Here we go again," she muttered, "and this time, I'm bringing out the big guns." No more tech attacks for her. Finally, she'd get to bust out the explosive single-target hits that she loved so much. As if in response to her enthusiasm, Arcael's Might's warmed in her hand. And as she brought the mighty sword down, metal hissing across the thick scales, the weapon emitted a vibrant golden light. A holy proc. Nice. She may not have scored any additional energy, but she'd take some extra damage.

They came rushing outwards and around, fleeing beneath its form as if a fly to a beast. It felt contempt as they moved around it, bit at it, gnawed upon its flesh. It felt the contempt shift to frustration - not anger, these things deserved no anger. Frustration as they tried to draw its attention towards them. It could feel the bit of tooth and claw, like insects sliding between its glorious scales. 

Wushen ignored their cries, their attempts to draw it out. It wanted nothing more than to lash out uncontrollably at the little fleas around its body, but something held it back. It was not pity, nor restraint… it could feel that the time was not right. Not yet. It waited, patiently, watching as the small insectoid sized creatures moved throughout its home, intruders that showed nothing more than disgrace and disgustful behavior. It would have its revenge, soon…

They were persistent little creatures. It would acknowledge that in their stead. Persistent, but not long lasting. It knew no fear as it stared down at the things, readying itself. Its body coiled, pulling back as it prepared to swat those who dared draw close enough to irk the ire of Wushen. It had not slumbered all this time only to suffer these things.

They bit and tore at it, the lashing bothering it more than it truly felt the pain of it all. Mosquitos beneath its scales, the itching drawing it into a rage beyond frustration. It glared down at them all - the dancing things that seemed determined to draw its irk, its fury. 

As they moved around and beneath it, Wushen felt a single response. A desire to end them, to bring them to their knees, to silence their chittering and biting. It wanted nothing more than to return to its slumber, unbothered by things that were nothing to it. It lashed out with its tail, its claws, gnashing its teeth as its frustration mounted further and further within it…

Beyond Care:

Larger than Life:

• DoT’s last half as long.
• Wushen is immune to disables. However, when a Disable is applied, DoT effects applied in the same round will last their full duration. This also breaks Wushen's concealment on his HP Bars

Gridlock:

• When reaching 50% of its total HP, further damage is ignored until it transitions to phase 2. Transitioning to phase 2 consumes its post action.

Slowly but consistently, they were depleting their foe's health bars. One down already, 5 more to go, was a significant amount od damage the whole raid managed to deal in such a short time. So far, it looked like this boss will be another punching bag but her gut feeling told her they were only scratching the surface and some sort of complication will disturb their smooth sail, as much as she hoped it wouldn't be the case. For now however, she would continue to do her best and do her part at hacking at the multiple health bars present in the form of a annoyed dragon that was swatting its members at them as if it was trying to fight away flies. Which Ariel preferred, based on experience, the attacks were easier to evade if they were underestimated by their opponent. After ensuring with a glance at he party's own health bars that her tank took practically no damage again, she went and dealt some in return.

Jomei's boots hit the ground just as Adere followed the ginger's attack pattern, and ran her razor sharp claws through the already damaged skin. "Nice one" Jomei said to himself with a proud smile and a triumphant fist. He heard his team calling out, mostly Nari offering battle tactics and positive reinforcement. Positive vibes over playful banter? That sounded like a good idea.

"Thanks, Nari! I'll admit, you had me worried when you signed up to be tank.. but you're eating this boss' hits like they are nothing!"

"Vigilon! Hell of a hit! Great one!"

"You too Ariel! Glad you decided to come back to help fight this thing."

"Krysta, I feel a lot better knowing you have our back. Keep those energy reserves up in case this thing decided to smack us any harder." 

"Lessa.." He turned to the blonde, as his motion on the battlefield ended up with him standing right near her, "Eh, you're doing alright I guess.. " His lip curled into a devilish smirk as he winked at her, before rushing off to hit this thing once more. Even though it was nice to hear encouragement from your comrades.. he always thought teasing and banter were more his style. His own form of flattery, or maybe there was more to it. 

"Oh?" the ginger slowed slightly, as six, now five, green health bars became visible above Wushen's head. Those weren't there before, maybe something they revealed them. Despite, now he knew where they were at.. at it was a long road still to go. Maybe reserving their energy was the right move. A weaker sword art.. less energy, but much less damage. Only one way to find out if it was worth it. Rushing up to the large, serpent-like creatures side, Jomei would jab the tip of his rapier deep into its flesh, before ripping outwards. 

Maybe he'd just hit it harder next time.

                        Krysta hated the thought of being helpless. In any moment, in any manner.

      Lessa seemed to seek a positive outlook, saying that it would be fine, that the players could simply just monitor their energy for the time being. She also suggested that Krysta should sit tight and wait, that her healing capabilities would be more than enough, when the time would come. Jomei noted that he felt better knowing that Krysta had the party's back, that she should preserve her energy for when she was truly needed.

     The onslaught that the players were dealing caused the Boss's HP bars to become visible. This was not a three meter boss...there were six HP bars above the boss's head.

Despite the progress the players were making, Krysta felt as though this was only the beginning. Something was off...something was terribly wrong. The Princess resisted the urge to draw her weapon as she usually would in battle. "I need to do something, why am I doing nothing?" Her thoughts called out within her mind. The mental turbulence from habitual courses of action was getting to her, she did not wish to simply be a bystander in it all...

[Vigilon 0]

             First time for everything...

     Krysta hadn't drawn her weapon at all in this fight, let alone attacked. She was probably following Nari's orders, but this wasn't something that could be expected of her. Once Vigilon landed from the attack he'd previously dealt to the boss, He noticed that Mina had managed to deal a devastating blow against the boss as well, and by the surge of color, Vigilon could only guess there was a wide array of ailments involved. Vigilon's weapon had two notable powers that were enhancement based, one being a surge of fallen energy like he'd accomplished with his devastating attack, the other being a shadowed, hellish blaze that burned like a dragon's flame.

         Vigilon was about to make a complimentary remark to Mina when he heard Jomei's voice, congratulating him on his powerful attack against the boss. Vigilon turned to see him, and with a smile, his expression showing acknowledgment of Jomei's words, as well as his determination in this fight, he gave the ginger a thumbs-up. The other damaging players in his party let loose at the boss as well. All there was to do now was to simply keep going.

                         Then the HP bars of the boss were revealed.
                 ...Six. Six health bars. Didn't bosses normally have three? Maybe the fact that the players had already chopped down one of six and were already whittling the other one down meant something. Vigilon shrugged, and prepared his next attack. With yet another hit he managed to time properly, this was looking to be the easy part of this fight. If there was anything he knew about actual bosses, there was some kind of gimmick or trick up its sleeve... And he knew it had yet to reveal its hand, so to speak, for it had paid the players nearly no mind. The players had cut down one of its HP bars, and yet somehow the boss was acting like it was barely a scratch.

The group continued the push forwards, their efforts a bit more synchronised than before as each attempted to pry into Wushen's defences. Nari took a few seconds to glance over the field, noticing Krysta standing back and simply watching - weapon sheathed and no sign that she was about to enter the fight anytime soon. She almost opened her mouth to shout across to the woman, before shaking her head. If anything, she may be in the right here. It's best to conserve energy where we can...and if she's really built as a support, the small amount she can dish out may make no difference in the end. Let her hold off for when we really need her capabilities.

"Thanks, Jomei. It looks like movement is key here - it's focusing on the tanks, for the time being...but if things keep going the way they're going, it's attention is slowly going to turn towards you. Be prepared to evade if the time comes. That goes for all of you squishies!" She added, raising her voice so the others could hear her commentary as well. She eyed the large wyrm, trying to figure out what would happen once they had chiselled at it's form. She doubted that the fight would remain this easy - there was no way that Cardinal would allow them to simply come in and slash it to death. There had to be something more to this. "Really should've paid more attention in that briefing...or maybe completed the actual quests for this floor..."

Shrugging to herself, she stepped forwards, bringing her spear up and attempting to stab at the larger wyrm. If nothing else, she could continue to draw it's attention away from the others and onto herself. She continued stabbing, aiming for the weak points in the scales that made up its form, hoping to find something that would crack its defences, even if only slightly. She had little else to offer to the fight currently, other than continuing to brunt the small counter attacks it was giving off at the moment.
