Sorun 0 Posted November 21, 2024 Author #21 Share Posted November 21, 2024 The situation of the battle was finally turning for the better, save for one issue: Sorun was still airborne. Sorun could hear the sound of a monster's faltering roar, followed by the sound of an entity shattering. Then the winds died down and the sand fell to the ground, along with Sorun, who tumbled along the loose sand, rolling on his side with no control until there was finally enough friction to stop his movement. Thankfully, for whatever reason, despite the tingling all over, he had no damage. The first thing he did was raise his axe. "Nothing's broken!" He called out. "And the axe is still in one piece!" He added. Sorun shuffled back on his feet, and shook himself off, before dusting off any sand persistent enough to remain. "Is this unusual, or should I be wary of sandstorm-causing monsters from here on out?" He asked, curious for future potential encounters.
NIGHT 0 Posted March 2 #22 Share Posted March 2 it was likely due to the amount of time he'd already spent airborne that left him silent on the fall. but night's head still snapped towards sorun once he announced his position, holding up his axe. night but casually picked up her blade and swung it over her shoulder, choosing to meet him halfway after a slow gait. she shrugged off the hood once she was sure the winds had finally calmed. "'unusual' enough," was her answer, after mulling over the options for a time, fingers to her chin. her gaze went towards the direction they entered the bowel from, trying to imagine how she'd get out. chase and herself had scrambled out once before; if she had to, she could make do. "the terra-firma only spawns here, as though this is its home. as far as i'm aware, it'll never leave." night turned to face sorun, empty hand navigating a few windows. "it'll be a while before it respawns, but for someone like you, i wouldn't wait around to see how long it'll be gone for. plus... i'm not too sure it'll net you that same reward again. i certainly haven't gotten anything for it since the first time i'd tried." a teleport crystal materialized in her hand shortly after. night waved it at him, suspect -- because if someone like him was willing to risk stepping out into the wilds so recklessly, it was difficult to say if he'd forgotten to take a safety net with him at the same time. "need one of these?"
