After a busy morning of what seemed like nonstop customers, Ciela noticed a familiar face and familiar hawaiian shirt. One of her favorite people. "Good morning, Freydo! Always have a crowd. People can't seem to get enough of my baked goods! I've even added some non pastry items to the menu." She smiled at her friend. "Whatever you need. I'm honored to fill out any request for you Freyd. I'll get to work on them as soon as possible. Pick them up whenever you're ready. After the raid works for me if it works for you." Ciela immediately got to work, putting all her love and care into Freyd's order, as she did for every honey bun she ever made for Freyd. These were special. These would be life changing. 

After a little while Ciela came out with a tray, filled to the brim with warm sticky honey buns. Wrapped neatly in cellophane and topped with a bow, she placed them on the counter for Freyd. She sent him a quick message. "When you're ready, your honey buns are too. Love, Ciela."

When Freyd finally returned to collect the precious order, he was literally a changed man.  Aged, or perhaps just with added seasoning, his features looked older and more worn.  A glaring shock of white hair, greying as it bled into a darker beard below with streak of black struggling for room, his bright blue eyes shone as brightly as ever.  Perhaps, even moreso than before, especially as his gaze fell upon the shopkeeper's beaming smile.  He wasn't sure what she and Wulfrin had discussed in the aftermath of the raid and chose to keep his nose out of it - for a change.  Choices made had doled out consequences for them all.  His only regret would have been the impact on his own beloved.  Only Fate's hand had stayed the outcome of that conundrum, and he still didn't understand how or why.  Maybe, he never would?

"Thanks, Ciela."  A deep breath savoring the sweet scent of his favourite treat, baked with the chef's special care and attention.  "These are a true treasure," he added, layers of meaning behind the words, beyond anything she could yet understand.  He meant it in every way.  "You can count on me putting them to good use."

Nymoria had wandered into the shop only after spending an indiscriminate amount of time beyond the entryway, pacing back and forth as she tried to figure out what she would do once she had entered the area. When no idea had been forthcoming to her, she had simply pushed herself inside, heading up to the counter and smiling in a polite, pleasant way that somehow seemed apprehensive and reserved. She raised a hand in greeting, signing slightly as she spotted the form of the knightess behind the counter. Hi, Ciela.

A part of her wanted to say more, to explain her absences and the way in which she had disappeared. But something held her back, and she quickly found herself shaking away the feeling, hiding it into the depths of her being and instead simply placing her order.
