I finished cooking my beef stew, and started eating it.

Ever since the death game started, I had fastly ranked up my cooking skill, I'm confident enough to let people eat my food.

But today, I'm doing something different, something new.

Becoming a Chef and opening a restaurant.

I walked into a NPC restaurant, and arrived at the counter.

The owner was infront of the counter and asked me, "Yes, how may I help you?"

I took a deep breath and asked the owner, "I want to open a restaurant, but I'm not sure how, could you teach me?"

The female owner stared at me in surprise, before giving me a big smile.

"Sure, I'll be happy to teach you."

My eyes widened and I smiled brightly, and said, "Thank you!"

"Okay, first of all, we need you to learn how to cook." She said.

"Oh, that won't be necessary, I know how to cook." I replied.

"Oh, alright, then I'm going to teach you how to run a store." She said.

"First of all, you need to know how to communicate around the kitchen, if you want a successful restaurant, you not only need good food, but good service." She said, as I absorbed all the information.

"Speaking of which, I'll give you tonight a test run, to let you see how you can do in a kitchen, you up for it?" She asked.

"Sure! I'll try my best!" I said, a bit nervous, fearing that I might screw up.

She gave a soft smile, and said, "Don't worry if you mess up, it is your first time."

I felt reassured.

"Okay, first off, we need you to learn the dishes. Don't worry if you forget a bit of it, my assistant chef will help." She said.

I quickly put on my apron, which was black, with white frills.

After a few hours of teaching me the recipe, I easily manage to cook then flawlessly, much to the surprise of the workers.

By then, it was time to start the test run.

I quickly did the meals, and served them quickly.

I was a bit nervous while talking to the customers, but the lively atmosphere made me go with the flow and soon became fun.

At the end of the day, the owner talked to me.

"I'm impressed, not only you are a good cook, but a great server. You did well, and you voiced out in the kitchen. I think your ready." She said.

I smiled brightly.

"Also, I would like you to take over my shop for me." She said, smiling.

I stared at her in shock.

"But why?" I asked, curious.

"Well, I'm getting old and I don't have a successor, non of my children knows how to cook, so I had to look for someone else. But no one I taught was good enough, till I met you. You have alot of skill, and I know you will be a great owner, so will you accept my offer?" She asked.

I stared at her nervously, fidgeting a little.

'Do I really have the skills, I'm taking over a extremely popular restaurant, which has hundreds of customers coming each day.'

But I really did wanted to be a chef.

"I will, but could you guide me through for a few days though?" I asked.

The owner smiled brightly and said, "Sure!"

After that, the workers were told that I would be taking over. To my surprise, all of them accepted it easily, though maybe it was because they were NPCs.

After that, I had a few more days of training in the kitchen and running the store, such as buying ingredients and paying the bills.

I got the hang of it after a few days to training and was ready to run the shop.

I was a bit nervous on the first day opening the shop as the owner, but the owner had trusted me, so I had to do well.

To my surprise, everything ran smoothly, and I was completely calm throughout.

Most players were surprised that I was working in a NPC restaurant, but accepted it after explained, the business also became alot popular, and everyday, people were coming over and eating.

After a few more days of running the restaurant, I could safely say that I could run the restaurant.

With it popularity increasing with no end to it, I made a few changes to the shop's size and appearance.

With that, I knew that now, I was a chef.
