「 ✦ A D E L Y T E ✦ 」 Castel Fastous, Oradea’s most popular house of burlesque and exotic dance. Owned and operated by one, Luda Bucur - not only the one in charge, but the house’s main event every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. When she wasn’t running the Castel or performing, she was a single mother raising her handful of a child on her own. But while she may have been a busy parent, her daughter Genevive was her entire world, and she would do anything to protect her. Before Genevive was even a year old, she was struck with an illness that threatened to take her life. Her mother did everything in her power to get the right treatment for her little girl - almost going as far as selling the Castel Fastous to pay for it. Her mother would never tell her where the money came from, but eventually she was able to find the right care and get Genevive back to perfect health. From that day forward, Luda feared the outside world for her daughter, keeping her within the walls of the Castel except for small errands. She would hire the best teachers to homeschool Genevive, and provide her with everything she would ask for.. all to keep her from the dangers that lurked beyond the front door.  Even as Genevive entered adult age, and with it the ability to go out into the world to become her own person, staying with her mother just seemed all that more appealing to her. She was paid to work at the house, sometimes serving drinks, other times escorting well paying patrons to private rooms. She was not performing, no, but she would take whatever jobs were needed on the floor. At the end of the day, she had no real reason to leave. She had her own ‘penthouse’ apartment, a job, her friends (the staff) and her painting supplies all under one roof.  Still, there was a part of her that yearned for the feeling of adventure and the outdoors. She learned of a game released in Japan, Sword Art Online, that used new technology to literally put you into the virtual world of Aincrad. The sights, the smells, the people.. Just the beauty of it all really appealed to her. With the help of her mother - which meant pulling strings and waving cash - she was able to get a copy of the game and the NerveGear imported.  She truly was not expecting the tragedy that would soon unfold...   VIRTUES/SMⱯ⅂Ⅎ   Reveal hidden contents Trickster// Jokes, pranks, and getting into trouble -- innocent trouble, usually. Like a little gremlin set loose to wander the halls, she would constantly sneaking around the performance hall looking for her next victim. Cueing up the wrong track for the next performer or locking a  patron into a private dance booth all alone were her favorite. She's definitely lost her mother a few customers, but the laugh it gave her was worth the stern talking to. Lonely// Genevieve did not grow up with many friends, none her age at least. Most of the staff of Castel Fastous were genuinely friendly towards her, while the rest only smiled in her direction because her mama was the one to sign their paychecks. Children were only allowed in the burlesque house during the daytime hours, when the performances were appropriate. But even then, Genivieve was usually attending her lessons. Despite the lonely lifestyle, the bright smile Gen was known for never faded.. in front of others, at least.  Artistic// Out of all the interesting topics her various tutors taught her, Genevieve found her love  for art - specifically painting. Her tutor was a handsome, young man - the first 'boy' she really interacted with that wasn't staff or quick greetings. She obviously developed feelings for him, despite him being much older than her.. and married. However, even after she grew out of that crush, she still found painting to be a wonderful hobby to wind down with. Chaotic// The inner machinations of Gen's mind are an enigma. Maybe it was the lack of excitement, or not many adult figures around  to tell her what she was doing was wrong. Whatever it may be, Genevieve welcomed chaos. Not violent, or dangerous chaos, but  controlled, fun chaos. Fun to her at least. She's the type to set off the fire control sprinklers the night of a full house. Watching every player question their lives and scramble after getting trapped in a video game... a bit too extreme for her taste, but couldn't quell those butterflies in her belly.  Lovely// Gen would always be seen with a smile, many asking her mother if she was born that way. Sadness was not an emotion that she wore often, and the joy was not forced. She genuinely was just a happy child. In between the usual pranks and jests, Genevieve found herself always asking  the staff of the Castel how she could help - despite her mother not asking her to. Just out of the  goodness of her heart, she still goes out of her way to help people however she can - or just make Spoiled// Genevieve got everything she ever wanted from her mama, as long as it kept her close to home. Clothes, toys, games, money anytime she asked, her mother would always give it to her. She wasn't greedy though, and still learned to be kind and giving when she wanted to be. But the sudden shock of no longer having her mother's aid has cast some doubts on her ability to survive in Aincrad.  Sweet Tooth// Her one weakness, her Kryptonite -- if you could call it that -- were sweets. Candies, cakes, pastries, the whole lot. Some have shown concern, thinking that was her entire diet (it wasn't, but she sure wishes it could be) Her dream used to be to open her own bakery, but her mother  reminded her that she would need to learn to bake.. and she'd probably eat all the product herself.   *Credit to NIGHT for journal format
