One of the vines managed to get the jump on Ciela, lifting her into the air. Ciela gritted her teeth as she hung upside down, the vines tightening around her ankles and swinging her like a pendulum. She had been doing more damage to these relentless plants with the thorns on her armor than with her actual weapon, but now they'd turned the tables. Suspended midair, she momentarily cursed her lapse in focus.

"Really this is how it's gonna be?" Muttering under her breath, the frustration rising as she gripped her sword. The vines creaked and twisted, pulling her higher. Her head was spinning slightly from the rush of blood, but she wasn't about to let these overgrown weeds win. With a sudden burst of determination, she began slashing wildly, her sword emitting a faint glow as she activated a sword art. The blade sliced clean through one of the vines holding her, and the severed piece burned up in a fiery ember-like effect, leaving behind a faint trail of smoke.

Ciela winced as she felt the singe on her exposed skin. She thought it was from just the heat being so close, but as she looked down she saw a spot where some of the vine's acidic sap had splattered on her ankle. Where the plant had been gripping her ankle stung, but the pain only fueled her resolve. "Oh, you're going to regret that." She growled, her voice low and menacing.

 She twisted her body midair and swung at another vine, using her momentum to cut through it. With a sharp snap, the vine let go and she landed on the ground in a crouch, her sword hand steady despite the slight tremor of adrenaline coursing through her.

The remaining vines recoiled momentarily, as if re-evaluating their next move, especially after her strike killed the Man-Eating plant that hung her from her ankles. Ciela smirked, rising to her feet. "What's the matter? Not so tough now, huh?" She taunted the plants, brushing off the dirt and ashes from her armor. 

She adjusted her stance, shifting her weight to her uninjured leg as she tightened her grip on her sword. The vines coiled again, preparing for another strike. This time, she was ready. Her armor glinted in the sunlight, the plants lashing out at her and the thorns striking back, burning them.

Ciela wasn't just fighting to fight at this point. She was proving a point. These plants thought they had the upper hand, but they'd made one critical mistake. They'd pissed her off.

Ciela surged forward, her blade slicing through the air with a sharp whistle as it cleaved into the nearest vine. The plant recoiled violently, releasing a guttural hiss as its severed tendril spewed sap like venom. Unfazed, she spun on her heel, her movements a seamless blend of precision and ferocity. Another vine lashed out, but Ciela was quicker, her sword arcing in a blur to slice through it before it could tighten around her ankle.

The heat from her enchanted armor radiated in waves, scorching the nearby vines that dared approach. One by one, the plants fell, their twisted remains smoldering as the last ember from her attacks consumed them. The acrid scent of burnt greenery filled the air, but thankfully, the forest remained untouched by the flames. Her sword finally came to rest at her side, its glow dimming as she surveyed the scene, embers still flickering in the undergrowth. With a practiced flourish, she sheathed her weapon, her chest heaving as she caught her breath.

A few items glimmered at her feet among the ashes, loot left behind by her defeated enemies. She crouched briefly to collect them, the remnants of battle now tangible rewards for her effort. Straightening up, she wiped a lock of sweat-dampened hair from her face, her expression a mix of satisfaction and fatigue. "Not so tough now, are you?" she muttered, glaring down at the smoldering remains. Her voice carried a hint of triumph, though exhaustion was quickly setting in.

The forest had gone eerily silent, the absence of battle leaving only the faint rustle of leaves and the distant chirp of birds. Ciela turned to Perlita, who had been watching the fight from a safe distance. The little companion chirped softly, tilting her head as if in concern. "Let’s go home," Ciela said, her tone softening as she gave the creature a tired smile. "I'm done for today. Everything today really took it out of me." She adjusted her gear and began making her way back through the forest, Perlita scampering at her side. The trail ahead was quiet, a soothing contrast to the chaos she’d just endured. For now, the promise of rest was enough to keep her moving forward.

Ciela trudged toward the teleport gate, her boots crunching softly against the forest floor. The weight of the day's battle clung to her, each step feeling heavier than the last. After a few moments she reappeared on Floor 22. The serene beauty of the lakeside village greeted her, a stark contrast to the fiery chaos she'd just left behind. She exhaled a long, weary sigh, rolling her shoulders in an attempt to shake off the fatigue.

Her feet carried her toward Fondante's Inferno, her bakery nestled along the lakeside path. The warm, inviting scent of pastries wafted out as she pushed open the door. The sight of her cozy shop brought a small smile to her lips despite her exhaustion. She wanted to make sure everything was in order before she collapsed for the night.

A quick scan of the displays revealed a few small orders that had come in during her absence. With practiced efficiency, Ciela got to work, rolling out dough, piping frosting, and wrapping up baked goods with care. The rhythmic motions were almost meditative, and she found herself unwinding bit by bit as she worked. Once the orders were filled, she refilled the displays with fresh pastries, ensuring the shop would be ready for the morning. She also topped off the beverage stations, making sure everything was pristine and inviting.

Satisfied with her work, she locked up the shop and stepped outside, the cool evening breeze brushing against her skin. The gentle lapping of the lake against the shore accompanied her as she walked along the lakeside path toward Wulfrin's house. The rhythmic clang of hammer on metal echoed through the still air, a sound she'd come to associate with home. A part of her wanted to stop by his forge, to say hello and maybe steal a kiss or two. But exhaustion had other plans.

Her body was on autopilot as she made her way up the steps and into the house. She kicked off her boots by the door and swapped her adventuring gear for a soft, oversized shirt and shorts. The moment her head hit the pillow, she let out a muffled groan into the plush fabric.

"What a day," she murmured to herself, closing her eyes. Despite the ache in her muscles, a sense of accomplishment warmed her heart. She'd done her part, both in battle and in her little corner of the village. Tomorrow would bring new challenges, but for now, she was content to let sleep claim her.
