After sustaining the damage I noticed she was about to make another move. I had to stop her. "Not this time." I said confidently.

I dived for my sword and quickly got up, readying a sword skill I haven't used yet to close the gap between me and Kat. "Rage Spike!" I dashed towards her and swung my blade.

No! I quickly activated another sword skill to stop her but she was too fast. Her blade met its target and my HP dropped once more.

HP: 7/15

My HP had dropped to half so I had lost the duel. I sheathed my sword and walked up to Kat.

"Wow, that was amazing. You beat me while only taking 2 hits. Nice going."

Archer started madly clapping as the two finished their fight "That was amazing you are both so good!" Archer hurried over to the two hi-fiving them both "that was awesome to watch, let me watch some othertime" she smiled giving the two a wave "I gotta go but ill see you round" she said jogging off.

From watching at the walls sidelines, I was watching and leaning *clap* *clap *Clap* Koutei, that's rather unexpected, join the front lines, i'll see you there. While petting my familiar, Glacies, I walked into the deep forest and disappeared without a trace

"Archer, that was a half loss duel, I'll show you the first strike mode duel." I said, drinking a potion, causing my health to become full again.

"Koutei? Shall we duel again after a 5 minutes break? Since Archer needs to know about the first strike duel too." I said.

Another duel, huh? "Sure, not like I have anything better to do."

This time around would be in First Strike mode. HP doesn't matter so Kat being a higher level than me doesn't mean much. Still, there's that crazy speed to worry about... If I falter for even a second it will mean losing...

"Let's do this." I said with a look of confidence on my face.

After accepting the challenge, the timer began counting down. I spun my sword in my hand to get a feel for it.

"You sure you can handle me?" I called out in a sarcastic tone. I had a pretty good idea of how this was gonna end and it doesn't involve me winning.

Nevertheless, I prepared to try my hardest. I need to get stronger and fighting is the best way to do it.

The timer hit zero. I felt sweat dripping from my head as the duel started. Kat charged at me.

I tried to dodge to the side. I leaped to my left and her blade just missed me. I thought I was safe but she unexpectedly turned and continued her attack, slashing me with a clean hit. I got knocked to the ground by the force of the attack. The duel had ended just as I thought it would.

"Wow." I said as I sat there on the ground. "That was quick."

"Don't be such a downer, I commented, cheekily.

I send him another request, and he accepted. The timer went down to Zero, and I charged at him again, starting of with a sword skill.

"Curvilineal!" I screamed, my blade turning bright orange in less then a second.
