Username: Euled

Real name: Eugene Ledster

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Height: 5 foot 7

Background: Growing up as a kid, Eugene always loved video games. He would beg his parents to buy the new hit consoles and get the latest games that critics were raving about, every single day. This behaviour continued until he turned the age of 12, when he discovered sport, namely, football.

From then on, it was his life. Everyday, he wouldn't shut up about it. Video games took a seat in favour of his sport; he would practice day in and day out. It was like he became a brand new person, although flickers of his video game loving self remained. He couldn't help himself if there was a new popular RPG coming out or a new console under his radar.

He continued this relaxed life, going about school as usual and living a generally normal life with no worries. Eventually, a new game came under his radar: Sword Art Online, abbreviated as SAO. Using his pocket change along with his parents pitching in, Eugene bought the latest Nervegear and a brand new copy of Sword Art Online.

The video game loving Eugene was brought back to life as soon as he logged in, getting his first weapon as soon as he could and flinging himself at mobs. It was a miracle that he somehow didn't die from his reckless nature, but it wasn't like he'd lose anything if he died, right?

This notion was shattered as soon as everyone gathered in the Town of Beginnings. A red robed man from the sky named "Kayaba Akihiko" told them that this was life or death, and there was nothing you could do about it. The only way to achieve freedom was to clear 100 floors and beat the game, setting all the inhabitants free.

Time seemed to become rapid as Euled began to go through the same notions, do an easy quest, scrounge up money to buy something to eat, sleep at an inn, and repeat indefinitely. Euled didn't level up due to the simple fact that all the easy quests he did barely involved any monster hunting; if it did, then the EXP they dropped was negligible. He didn't join in any boss raids, as out of character as it was, he couldn't pluck up the courage to do that and risk dying, leaving his family, his life and his future behind. This stagnant lifestyle continued until finally, one night, he remembered why he was here, and the desire to survive had awakened in him.

He staved off his hunger to save up money and buy a better sword than the common one he'd stashed the whole run, and set forth.

Currently, Euled seeks to kill as many monsters as he can to grind levels, using his game knowledge from when he was a kid and trying to catch up to the boss raiders and go on a raid himself, on a quest to liberate SAO's players and free himself from the virtual world.

Virtues

[Virtue:] Fearless. Due to lounging around for so long, Euled has developed a sense of fearlessness. He's never faltering, even in the face of danger. It's not like he's impervious to panic when in a sticky situation, but he's never one to back down when times are tough and someone needs to step up to the occasion.

[Virtue:] Determined. Euled has a life that he needs to return to outside of the game. Sure, fighting monsters is thrilling and all, but the fire in his heart that makes him desire home will never be extinguished. Due to this, he has greater willpower than the average player, always struggling and fighting till the very end. He might have his ups and downs, but he will never, ever give up, going to extreme lengths to achieve his goals.

[Virtue:] Caring. As reckless, rash and insensitive he is, deep down, Euled is quick to trust and harbors a deep appreciation for anyone who decides to be his friend. He will never put a friend under the bus for his own gains. Sometimes, he would choose to put their needs over his own.

Flaws

[Flaw:] Reckless. It's in Euled's nature from the beginning to be reckless, whether it be video games or real life. Naturally, this carries over to SAO as well. Euled is prone to rushing in without formulating a plan and lacking awareness of his surroundings when in combat.

[Flaw:] Overconfident. Due to his video gaming experience, Euled is prone to being overconfident while going into battle. He risks underestimating his opponent and hence facing the consequences. It isn't too extreme, but it's enough to pose a risk to himself.

[Flaw:] Insensitive. Euled is the type of guy to act first, then think. This behaviour carries over to his speech. He is inadept at reading social queues and opens his mouth to speak whatever is on his mind, leading to him getting on the bad side of some people and coming off as annoying.
