Recruitment Drive
Aincrad is a dangerous place, but there's safety in numbers.
Help us bring new Players into our party.

What is the purpose?
The goal of this recruitment drive is to spread the word about SAO-RPG, and help new writers find their way to us. Many of us have been here for years, so we've all seen first-hand how new members can shake up the whole place. This drive is meant to advertise the site, catch the attention of new members, and provide them an avenue for getting started. We'll also be rewarding the efforts of our recruiters with the chance at two awesome prizes.

How does it work?
For the duration of the recruitment drive, Players will be given the chance to earn tickets for our raffle. These tickets can be earned in a variety of ways which are outlined below. When the drive closes, there will be two winners. First, the person who collected the most tickets. Then, their tickets will be removed from the pot, and we'll pick our second winner from those that remain. That means that every single contribution matters, and a single ticket can win you our randomized prize.

How can you earn tickets?

Bumping our Disboard Listing - Every two hours, you can type "/bump" in the #bot-and-commands channel on Discord.	1
Advertising on Another Site - This could be another roleplay forum, a database website, or even social media.	5
Advertising on a Discord Server - Other Discord Servers often have self-promotion channels, and some are dedicated entirely to sharing roleplay sites.	5
Getting Someone to Join - If someone joins because of your advertisement, you earn tickets!	20
Getting Someone to Finish a Thread - When your new Player has succeeded in having their character approved, and completing their first thread, you get more tickets!	20

How do you claim tickets?
There are two ways to claim tickets! You can either post them in this thread, or in the #recruitment-drive channel in the Discord server.

1. You do not need to claim Disboard-bumping tickets (those will be tallied up manually).
2. For advertisements, you can either post a link to the advertisement, or a screenshot of the advertisement.
3. If you've convinced someone to join, just post here with their name, and we'll follow up.
4. Once your new recruit has completed their first thread, you can link to it here.

How do I advertise?
No need to reinvent the wheel! Take a look at our Disboard listing for inspiration, and copy/paste whatever works for your advertisement. Just be sure to provide some information on what we're all about, and a link to the site and/or the Discord.

Any other important information?
There are a couple additional things that we'd like you to keep in mind as you do your recruiting. First and foremost, you are representing SAO-RPG to the rest of the world wide web. Please do so with the utmost respect. Don't spam, don't post where advertisements are not welcome, and please do your best not to post where someone else already has. Discord servers, Reddit, and other roleplay forums are all excellent platforms, but they often have rules related to advertisements. Please follow them! Also, keep in mind that at present, we are not doing affiliations or partnerships. If you are required to swap advertisements, or enter into any sort of partnership with another community, please simply make note of the site/server and skip it for now. We're looking into these opportunities, and if we follow through, you'll get your credit. Finally, the goal of this drive is to welcome new writers into the fold. Once you've brought someone into our little corner of the internet, please do your best to help them get settled and answer their questions (or get them in touch with someone who can).

What's up for grabs?
Two Players will earn a prize package that includes:

• Three months of Discord Nitro OR a $30 dollar Amazon gift card.
• A unique Discord role with a color of their choice for one year.
• A title change on site (can be given away if content with current title).

What about the actual writing?
We haven't forgotten the point of all of this - to get new writers writing. As such, any threads written with freshly recruited Players will earn all thread participants double experience. This applies only to threads started with Players who join after July 20th, and threads started before the recruitment drive ends at 11:59 PM on September 30th.

Fine Print
All members of SAORPG are eligible for these prizes, with the exception of Lessa, who will be handling the ticket lists and doing the actual drawing. Even newly-recruited Players may turn around and advertise to earn tickets of their own. The ticket list will posted in full after September 30th, but it can be provided by request before that if anyone is interested in how many tickets they've accumulated. Lessa reserves the right to deny tickets if anyone is found to be behaving in a way deemed unprofessional or unbecoming of a member of the SAORPG community.
