[F09 - PP] "Hot As Balls" <<The Iron Guardian>>

Elora missed Mina's home from the second she left its doorstep. It was hard to imagine why the player had chosen to move to an inferno of a floor, even harder yet to understand how her oasis of a property survived its engulfing climate. She certainly wouldn't find herself occupying any of the arid floors without reason. Growing up in rural Ireland made even the slightest heats practically unbearable. Yes, she much preferred the temperate, or even the colder climates of many of the other floors to this literal hellscape.

Trudging back towards the level's main settlement, she did her best to distract herself from the beads of sweat rolling into uncomfortable places. For as hard as the pain mitigation system tried, it still fell short in suppressing inclement agony. A stray basalt pebble proved a viable distraction until she'd managed to punt it out of her perimeter. The thing hopped and clattered as it ping-ponged down the craggy slope, until eventually, it came to a collision with something blurry.

Is that...another player? The cerulean-eyed player squinted in an attempt to differentiate the distant mirage from its truthful occupants.

Yet another day in this death game and Kyoto wasn't sure what was worst. The game or this floor. Kyoto always hated to be in floor 9 as it was literally hot to the point it could kill you. But with nothing really to do and looking for some action, he figured he roam around this floor for a bit to see if anyone is in a need of a party member for quests.

With that though he would walk around the main settlement hoping that no one is on this floor but that's not always the case. Even though this floor is literally hell, it didn't stop people from coming here to do quest or just out grinding to gather material or even exp to level up. But the one thing he notice was a green haired girl walking toward him and just like him was shocked about seeing another human in this god forsaken floor.

After matching his eyes to hers he walked up to her.

"So what is a person like you doing in hell for?"

He chuckled hoping she would play along with the joke as they're literally in a floor that is literally hell.

"So what is a person like you doing in hell for?", the eldritch blur seemed to ask.

God? No, Satan -!, her mind quickly deduced.

"What'dyou want, an itemized list?", she sarcastically retorted. With a sluggish wobble, she raised both hands to begin the count, "Alright, there was that time in high school I guess -- b*tch had it coming though, real work of a person..." Elora seemed to trail off as the illusion of steam morphed into something more recognizable. Green crystal...

"O-oh", she stammered and stiffened into a more attentive posture, "At least, that's how I think the story went -- haven't finished the quest yet --." She cleared her throat to signal the segway, "What the hell are you wandering out here for? Looking for a place to die?" The theory had some sense. After all, with its rolling lava flows and stacks of steam, the ninth floor made an excellent destination for Viking damnation and instant cremation. Morbidly, she speculated how many players had met their deaths here, and how many more were soon to follow.

Walking closer to the green haired girl, he starts to hear her ramble about some strange things. At first he thought she was losing it from the heat on this floor but after hearing her talk more he realize that she was being sarcastic. But then she mentioned about a quest that she was trying to remember. He wasn't following what she was saying. But for the most part he had to agree... Why is she on this floor? Most people come here to deal with quest not just to there own pleasure.

"I would ask you the same thing but I'm here for a quest. I'm assuming you're looking for the same thing?"

He was curious since it seems like the heat already hit her from what she was talking about before he met up with her. But that doesn't matter much.

"My name is Kyoto, what's your?"

He looked at her carefully. A girl with green hair light blue eyes and a figure that Kyoto would find attractive it's almost like the Gods was trying to set him up to for some fun.

"Boy you're looking pretty smoking and that isn't because we're in a literally fire death pit."

"Nope -- just visiting a friend", she responded with a vague gesture to some smokestack in the distance.

"My name is Kyoto, what's your?"

"Elora", she stated succinctly. Unsure of whether or not to shake hands like two blokes meeting at the pub, she offered a curt a nod instead. A brief inspection of his appearance reminded her of Kiluia. Though, Kyoto seemed to have a smaller frame, perhaps younger in age?

"Boy you're looking pretty smoking and that isn't because we're in a literally fire death pit.", he mentioned.

"What --?", came a flat reply. Her expression indicated that she had been caught off-guard by the remark, and equally unimpressed by its hastiness. "Do you just say that to everyone you meet?" Perhaps the rhetoric was harsh, but Elora was rarely one for embellishment. A flicker of annoyance flashed across her eyes, followed by glint of curiosity. Sure, this guy seemed a bit crass, probably all-too-eager, but she did admire his willingness to say whatever was on his mind.

With arms crossed, she regarded him, waiting to see what he would say next.
