Zelrius 0 Posted January 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2014 Zelrius referred to floor 5 as "Hell". This being for many many reasons. One, being but, no limited to, It's unbearable heat. The heat in floor 5 increase with every step deeper into the Wilderness or a A Dungeon. It generally gets alot cooler when you begin to approach a town or other worldly structure. Another being the fact that he even had troubles with some of the monsters. Much like everyone did on the first floor being stuck not knowing patterns or how some of them are just fast enough to barely block one his attacks. Despite this and a Number of other reasons, He treaded on through the Desert of Floor 5.
Zelrius 0 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted January 21, 2014 Through out his tread, he continued to detect heat. Seeing if he was getting closer to a town. Of course normally, You'd be able to see a town off in the distance long long before it' appear on your map. However, The Heat Haze of Floor 5 was stopping this. It is said only those with Master leveled Detection can see a Town through the Heat haze, and that is still bit under achieving. When he found a town he'd have to gather tons of information. This was another boring part to be a Floor Runner.
Zelrius 0 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted January 21, 2014 This such information would need to be stuff like; The Monsters around it's descriptions, Their abilities, estimated/analyzed stats, Size of town, Possible repeatable quests, Possible quests, Special Buildings or Areas, Buildings or Plots for Sale, etc. He didn't mind doing it on most floors however, in Hell, The Hours dragged on as the Heat didn't even disperse at night either. This making sleep unthinkable as not only are you sweltering but there's the thought of someone finding you and killing you in your sleep.
Zelrius 0 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted January 21, 2014 "Why me?" he asked to himself trying to think of Shark's or Night's excuse for not doing this instead of him. Of course He'd never complained before so their answers would be guessable but it was time-passing to think about. As he walked on and on, His footsteps soundless as the Sand merely shifts under his weight Zelrius begins to drift off to sleep. This, to any onlooker, would've been a great sight to see. A Lonely traveler literally sleep walking to wherever it was he was headed.
Zelrius 0 Posted January 25, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted January 25, 2014 Zelrius was suddenly awaken at the running into a Palm tree. His head hit it hard and Zelrius fell backward at the impact. Disorientated and now Angry at the pain he had just received he just started yelling. "HEY MORON! Watch where you're going God Damn it! I was ju-" He stopped when he realized what was happening and where he was Then sighed. Maybe it is I who is the moron... He thought to himself.
Zelrius 0 Posted January 25, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted January 25, 2014 He laughed at that statement If I am a moron I really do feel sorry for a lot of people on this planet! His laugh grew louder and Louder. It began to actually echo in the great blazing deserts. The heat actually making him insane. Too bad for him, Because this is a game, It would never actually kill him. Zelrius could walk on in the rolling sands forever getting crazier and crazier and never die. Zelrius 0 Posted January 25, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted January 25, 2014 Eventually he stopped laughing as now he wondered what it was he hit. Right away he noticed the palm tree, The "Immortal Object" Message still on it then disappearing almost immediately afterwards. Slightly to the left he could see more palm trees. And to the right? Grass. He couldn't believe it. At first, Zelrius thought it a Mirage. But then discarded the though as he had just ran into a tree. To him, it had to be real, His forehead still ached. Zelrius 0 Posted January 27, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted January 27, 2014 Zelrius got excited really fast. Something, real! He ran around the tree hoping for anything. Water, a Town, a Person, ANYTHING! His luck, as it always had been, was bad. He quickly realized that it was just a Palm tree in the middle of nowhere. Just a Palm tree, as lonely as he was. In the midst of a scorching Desert and even hotter and more unbearable sands. He sat next o the tree, not able to hand the heat and endless sand.
Zelrius 0 Posted January 27, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted January 27, 2014 There he lied. The hard surface of the tree up against his back making it so much easier and more comfortable to sleep. Some of his last thoughts were about how he should've bought more teleport crystals. Or how nice it would be to be on floor 1 in the plains dduring this time of year. Or even how being an Inn at all with a bed would be just magical.
Zelrius 0 Posted January 27, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted January 27, 2014 There he dreamed. Oh he had several dreams. This is because he didn't know he had a Euphoria effect on him. This being from multiple things: No1: Not sleeping for 3 and a half days while traveling. No2: Someone put the effect on him with a skill. Who? No one knows. yet. His dreams went on for almost one whole day before he finally awoke, the now the Desert's infinite cold dawning on him.
Zelrius 0 Posted January 31, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted January 31, 2014 He sat there, Shivering. Then realized a few quite unusual things. One being Lights off in the distance, Moving, So not a town. Two The Monsters were cleared for as far as the eye could see in this plain of rolling sand forever. Three; There was a rope around him. He stopped at that last thought then looked down. There it was. Wrapped around him a rope.
Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted February 10, 2014 At first, He lost his mind. Not having very much sleep and having to bare the heat, His first reaction was to struggle and move about. Of course this only wasted what little energy he had and effectively made a ton of noise. So then he stopped blinked a few times to get his bearings then moved on. He reached for his sword and pulled it. This was a failure, he realized soon after he learned the Rope was so tight that he couldn't even lift his sword enough to cut the rope.
Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted February 10, 2014 He shook and shook until the tree began to drop coconuts. When it finally dropped one close enough, He kicked it towards his sword, cut it and made a sharp end out of a part of the shell. With that, The end was small enough to fit under the rope and cut it. However, by that time, The lights were close and shouting "....AWAKE!! THE .... AWAKE!!" came the loud voice not entirely audible.
Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #14 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Zelrius instantly grew angry at the voice. The lack of sleep intensifying his rage. His first reaction was to draw the sword and stab the small mouse-like man. Just before Zelrius' blade connected the boy's eyes widened and his pupils shrunk in fear. As Zelrius' sword continued to drive right through the small boy, The boy got even more scared. Scared because of many things, some anybody who didn't know Zelrius would be scared of too. Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #15 Share Posted February 10, 2014 One such thing was the way Zelrius looked. Hair that stuck out in all kinds of places, Eyes that were wide open but had deep circles under them. Pupils that we dilated in anger and adrenaline. And of course, The Crystal that was yellow, long before this kid even came along. Of course The teen had no way of telling how long it had been yellow, Just that it had been yellow before the attack. The kid stumbled back, The sword and all this sending him in to shock. Zelrius pulled out and turned away from the kid.
Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted February 10, 2014 The kid sat in horror as he was thinking of the many many things why the Mysterious stranger turned from him now. He got the answer; Miles pounced and ate a way at the kid. His scream came out unlike something human from fear and his brain making him feel the pain of being mauled to death by a wolf of your equal size. Zelrius' brow grew tighter as he focused now on the approaching lights.
Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Zelrius smiled with hysteria as the lights came closer, fast. He recognized a few, some players from a guild, that is not PKer. Then there mission wasn't to kill him, it was that they were afraid of him. It would make sense. A Yellow player, that matched the almost exact description of the warnings as a dangerous PKer, found asleep in the middle of nowhere. What do you do? Attack him and risk waking him and getting killed? Nope. You tie him up and make a run for it.
Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #18 Share Posted February 10, 2014 So this is how it went: They found him, Made the same assumption as I had just said earlier, and then did book it the other direction. However when someone you need to protect runs back to the target then shortly begins yelling, then that turns into a blood curling scream, You're first thought is "Maybe he could use some help". Sure, most would've kept running, But this guild promised to always help one another, no matter what. To break this would mean death by the Guild master.
Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #19 Share Posted February 10, 2014 When they all got there they immediately saw the blue particles just as the scream ended. with the lanterns held high the Guild members could see the satisfied smile on Zelrius' face. "I will give you 5 minutes to run." To this some turned around and ran, the others merely sat and waited, knowing he was much faster then they were and could easily catch up in a few minutes. Those who sat, were instantly mauled to death or stabbed repeatedly because of their lack of resistance. a portion of those who did sit actually did resist, But the night and the fear of death wearing them down greatly. Zelrius 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Author #20 Share Posted February 10, 2014 When the five minutes were up, the screaming and yelling of those who sat down was just ending. The night now lit up and filled by tiny blue particles of data that slowly disappeared. Zelrius grinned and took off towards the few who ran. In the night, With his messy looks, He looked like a rapid animal with a single large claw chasing down some bugs. This clearly spooked some of those who ran, and in doing so they were either led off track or fell down. These were instant prey and Zelrius savored in the agony of their deaths.
