[PP- Floor 1] <Earning a Living> (Griswold)

Freya puts on the new head gear for SAO and says "LINK START." Freya gets into the starting menu and puts her name and every other thing it says to put in. The actual game start up now and Freya's gear goes blank for a minute and she was zoomed into the game. When her vision for the game came to she was in a large town. Freya looks around and smiles. "I'm finally getting to start the game. YAY," she says as she walks around the town a little. Freya sees a large board and decides to go up to it. "Quest Board," Freya reads and says "Hey maybe there is a quest in here to allow me to be a cook." She starts looking at all the quests listed. "Earning a Living" she read and says "This is it. I will do this quest and become a Chef like I was in the real world." Freya accepts the quest and starts reading what needs to be done for completion. "Find the Cook Trainer NPC and it will guide you the rest of they way," she reads then says "How the heck am I gonna do that. It doesn't say a location of where this lad is at." Freya looks around town and tries to spot someone with a chef hat on assuming that would be how the NPC trainer is dressed. Freya spots a NPC that had all white on and what looks like a chef hat on it's head. Freya smiles and starts head toward it. Arriving at the NPC she starts talking "Welcome! This is the Quest where you can become a cook. To complete this quest you will need to find several different cooking ingredients around the First floor field area. Come to me when you have the ingredients to complete this quest." Freya stands there for a minute to make sure that was all the NPC had to say. It started talking again sounding like it was repeating itself. Freya walks off to find the first floor field entrance.

Freya now at the field entrance stops and looks around out in the distance. Freya sees a dirt trail and decides to follow it to find out where it leads. After walking for a while she stumbles upon a forest like environment. She smile as she sees a black berry bush just to the left of the trail. The black berry's don't seem to be ripe enough to pick yet so Freya continues on the trail.

As Freya continues walking the long trail she sees in the distance a small boar. "COME HERE YOU BEAST" she says as she runs at the boar with her 2 handed axe. As Freya closes the distance between the and her, the boar moves out of the way and quickly rams Freya in the back of her knee. Freya falls to her knees as being hit. She jumps up and does a back flip over the boar. The boar is now in front of Freya with it's back turned away from her.

Any Enemy hits only when Freya Misses. The crafting dice acts as the enemies battle dice. 11 and 12 acts as a 10.

Freya very determined moves a little back and attempt to swing at the boar missing. Freya looks around to make sure there is no other enemies around. Freya holds her weapon straight out getting ready to attack again.

Before Freya could think about attacking that boar charges at Freya full force. She stares at the boar with wide eyes :shock: as it's running at her. Next thing she knew the boar had sliced her right leg with his tusk and Freya fell on her bottom. "Oh man is this the end of me?" she says still staring at the boar.

Griswold sees the distressed player and under the banner and ideals of Firm Anima he rushes into the creature with gusto. A quick dash forward with shield raised, Griswold charges into the creature side kicking up dust from the blow knocking it down with a shield bash. The monster looks up only to be smashed flat by Griswold's hammer being reduced to nothing. Griswold's shield clangs against his armor as he stands back up retracting his hammer from the small crevice where the boar once existed. Looking over at Freya, Griswold says with his heavy accent "Aye lass that was a close one wouldn't ya say?"

Seeing this tall beastly looking man above her and the boar being smashed into oblivion, Freya stares at him wide eyed. Realizing she was still on the ground, Freya hops to her feet and sheathed her sword. Freya dusts herself off then looks at the big guy again. Freya swiftly puts her hand out to the man to shake and says "Hi! I'm Freya, soon to be chef. Thank you for helping me." With her hand still extended to the man she looks around the forest trying to find food like items to collect for her quest!

Griswold raises his hand, as if he shook her hand at that health he might kill her. Looking at the lass "Why don't we try doing something that doesn't put you in such danger." Griswold says heavily before looking around at the environment for anything that might suit her profession. His helmet unmaterializes, revealing Griswolds face as he looks around yet given his lack of cooking skill and poor detection skill sees nothing of note. Griswold stares down at the small blonde reminding him of Eruda, as she is almost a twin of his other friend "Well do you see anything?" he says with a gusto.

Freya watches the beefy man's helmet disappear before her eyes. She stare as him with wide eyes for a sec, looks away slightly and shrugs her shoulders and continues looking around some more. Freya start swearing under her breath and start walking into the forest not following the trail no more. "Are you coming HULK, or you just going to stand there and stare at my butt!?" says Freya with a smirk on her face as she wonders into the forest looking for food ingredients.

Griswold chuckles at the girls spunk, following close behind the little blonde thing giving him orders. Close behind Freya, Griswold keeps his weapon ready to combat anything that might come after the near dead brave player. Keeping his gaze focused on his surroundings, Griswold fails to see anything of worth given his inability to detect cooking items. Griswold keeps up the pace behind the tiny misses, ready to stop anything from harming the new player.

Freya looks around in the forest and stops at the sight of a apple tree. Freya rushes to the tree and sees that the apple's are still small and green. Freya clinches her fists and stomps on the ground with her right foot with a mad face and says "Gosh dang it, why is everything raw." Freya kicks they tree and turns her back toward it with her arms folded against her chest now and her head looking up with her eyes closed. After a minute she stands normal and looks at the tall man and says "This is freaking impossible." Freya looks around the forest with a mad face. "Where the hell can I get some food around here?" Not saying this to anything or anyone specific, Freya walks away from the tree and starts looking around on the ground as she walks to see if she can find any vegetables inside the ground.

Griswold stumbles around aimlessly looking at his surroundings for foodstuffs. Its odd seeing a gigantic armor clad man hunting for berries. Behind him he hears his escort ranting and raving, as he digs around in the soil for potatoes or anything that could be growing inside. Digging deep with his large frame, Griswold acts like a mechanical excavator tossing dirt back with ferocity. Griswold finds something, but lifting it up in his mass grip crushes the carrot miserably which he proceeds to bury and quickly continues after killing such a harmless plant.

Freya look around the forest trying to find something to work with. Freya speed walks to the apple tree she saw. Running at the tree she does a front flip to put herself next to the tree. Freya looks to her feet feeling something beneath her feet and realizes she had just crushes a small bunch of plump red tomatoes. "OH COME ON!" she yells with her arms up in the air and a pissed off face. Freya starts looking around the tree for more veggies, crawling on her hands and knees making sure she don't miss anything.

Griswold turns around and chuckles at the little blonde's fury. Watching her destroy a batch of perfectly good tomatoes, Griswold doesn't feel so bad about the carrot choking from earlier. Digging around in the soil, Griswold successfully pulls up a carrot even given his lack of detection or cooking skill just getting lucky. Setting it on the ground Griswold calls out to Freya "Hey found a little something over here if you want to help me out!" as he continues to dig around like a machine.

Freya hearing Griswolds call out, Freya quickly scrambles to her feet at run at Griswold stopping a foot away. Freya looks down and sees the carrot on the ground. She picks it up and inspects it for a second then puts the carrot into her bag. "Thank you" she says and then walks a couple feet from Griswold. Freya spreads her legs shoulder length apart and bent down to start digging almost like a dog would. Keeping her knees straight she tries to find something worth a dang. Finding nothing after digging for a couple of minutes in that spot, Freya moves a couple feet from that digging spot and starts digging the same way in the spot she had moved to.

Griswold looks at Freya's weird response, then shrugs it off as she was obviously a lass of action. Watching her lift his find, Griswold continues to dig around doing the only thing he knows how. Digging around in the soil not much different then a shovel, Griswold continues ripping through the soil to no avail but doesn't lose faith as he is a subborn mule of a man.

After a while of digging Freya stand up after no finding anything and puts her hands on her hips with a pouting face. Freya looks around the forest and decides to travel a little further into the forest to see if she has any luck. "I'll be over here" Freya yells out as she walks deeper into the forest. Freya sees a couple apple trees and berry bushes in the distance and starts doing cart wheels toward her findings.

Griswold stares and Freya in awe at the random cartwheels as she heads toward something in the distance. Griswold has absolutely zero knowledge regarding plants except that some are in trees and others are in the ground, so he looks up to tree looming over head. Griswold sees an apple hanging from the branch above him, and slams his hammer against the trees base shaking the apple free. Leaving it on the ground for Freya to discover.

Freya in the distance hear a bang, She giggle assuming it was Griswold some how. Freya no stand by the apple trees and berry bushes, looks around at them to see what she can find. Freya stars moving the bushes around and finds a large chest lurking between the berry bushes. "I FOUND A CHEST!" Freya yells out behind her hoping Griswold heard her. Freya opens the chest and finds a rare golden apple and a blue/black ore. Confused by the ore she puts the Golden Apple in her bag and rushes to Griswold with the ore still in hand. Standing next to Griswold now Freya says "I found this ore that I can't use, and I don't know anyone to give it to. Can you make use of it?" Freya say trying to hand the random ore to Griswold with a huge smile on her face. Seeing the red apple on the ground Freya picks it up and proceeds to hand Griswold the ore.

Griswold looks up at the tiny lass holding the ore that's unknown even to him, grabbing the red apple he yielded he extends his beefy arm upward handing her the apple as she places the ore in his. Griswold returns to the task at hand as the ore is added to his material inventory. Griswold repeats his assault on the tree, still standing in his self dug trench. Another apple drops free boinking Freya in the head harmlessly bouncing off her. Griswold laughs a bit "Look lass another apple" he replies with his strong accent.
