[PP-23] Shaking Off the Rust, for New Time's Sake <<Slime Conundrum>>

Thing's weren't quite spiralling, but there was a definite circular pattern in the layered waves of slime around the room with which he was uncomfortable.  Getting flushed was not an option, not that he expected it with this caliber of companions, but the slime hoard were as valid a slog as he'd encountered outside of any raid.  While the others regrouped, Freyd thought it best to see if he could re-level the keen by doing exactly what everyone was expecting.  That shouldn't be hard, right?  

"Thank goodness for you, Wulfrin.  Nice timing on that stun!"  Freyd's initial flurry struggled against the king proper, its gelatinous consistently being far slicker than that of its minions.  At least he could knock it down another peg before turning is attention to the rest.  Flinging himself into a controlled spin, the Whisper's movement unlocked a familiar keening wail the ended abruptly with the sudden disappearance of the more badly damaged mob.  Freyd's fist just devoured what was left, drifting after-pixels and all.  Its companion surged, seeking to engulf him, only to run afoul Samael's Pride's seals restored to full strength and bursting forth a bubble of blazing white light as its wielder brought the two wraps into contact.  The smear left behind soon became a lovely, scintillating blast pattern of pinkish-purple fragments.  Unfortunate that they still stank.

Royal Gel: On an MD 9-10, the <<Slime King>> will launch an AoE attack at the four players with the highest hate, dealing 160 DMG and afflicting them with T4 Blight for two turns. This skill cannot occur once <<Gelatinous Form>> has activated.
Quick Split: On a CD 9+ and LD 10+, the <<Slime King>> will not attack and instead, summon a <<Slime Abomination>> to his aid. A <<Slime Abomination>> can only be summoned once per turn. This skill is deactivated once <<Gelatinous Form>> has activated twice.
Gelatinous Form: Every time the boss’ health reaches 0, two more Kings will spawn, using the next lowest HP available. If a Slime King with the lowest amount of max HP possible dies, he will not spawn any more.

Slime Abomination:
Back and Forth: If a <<Slime Abomination>> takes 500 DMG before its next turn, it will attack twice during the following turn.
Strength in Numbers: If any other Slime monsters are alive, every second attack, the <<Slime Abomination>> will instead heal every Slime for its DMG.
Unison: If another Slime monster falls, <<Slime Abomination>> will gain +10 DMG for the rest of the battle.

The man flares into action as the rest of his party would descend on the slime entity hoping to regain its shape. Removing a stone from his pocket, he'd rake it down the length of his sword. A spark would see it catch flame, casting a fair shadow over his face. Coated in heat, the swordsman would rush the opponent down and dump that steel through its posture. This converts some of its body which still quivered into a steam. A horrifying shriek as the fire would take hold, it struggled against its own incapacitation. A ripe control of the entire encounter, as Raidou looked on to its available hit points still lingering in its bar and to the port holes in the wall. It would try to split, and his attentions would link to that expectation. "Soon." The man would offer a subtle nod to his group, keeping his explanation painfully short as to keep his focus on the fight itself.

"I aim to please," Wulfrin smirked as he prepared for another assault. "Let's keep up the pressure. These things are HP sponges. Doesn't help that they're hard for me to hit either."

Wulfrin dashed forward seeing the Slime King having but a small amount of health remaining. With a swift downward strike, his cerulean lit blade cut straight down the Slime King's center. The bifurcated boss fell to the ground with a sickening slopping sound. Wulfrin's heart sank when the two halves began to animate and move independently of each other.

"Great," Wulfrin sighed. "Black Pudding rules apply. This just got infinitely more infuriating."

Wulfrin backed off, falling back to clear the way for his companions. Patience was going to be the winning strategy for this one. He knew he had a significantly smaller tank than the other members of his party, so that became his main focus. Keeping the mooks that spawn off the king in his sights would become his priority. Wulfrin's grip tightened around the hilt of his blade as he readied himself to continue the attack.

Pure Structure: Any DoT effects on the boss will last half their original duration, except for Burn. Afflicting the boss with Burn will also deal double damage to it.
Royal Gel: On an MD 9-10, the <<Slime King>> will launch an AoE attack at the four players with the highest hate, dealing 160 DMG and afflicting them with T4 Blight for two turns. This skill cannot occur once <<Gelatinous Form>> has activated.
Quick Split: On a CD 9+ and LD 10+, the <<Slime King>> will not attack and instead, summon a <<Slime Abomination>> to his aid. A <<Slime Abomination>> can only be summoned once per turn. This skill is deactivated once <<Gelatinous Form>> has activated twice.
Gelatinous Form: Every time the boss’ health reaches 0, two more Kings will spawn, using the next lowest HP available. If a Slime King with the lowest amount of max HP possible dies, he will not spawn any more.
